Hacked up off a mark of 75 and ran creditably off around this mark on his next 2 starts in class 2 handicaps. Ground not a problem and the booking of Jim Crowley a positive one. Won 5 and placed 5 times from 36 rides for this trainer boasting a £16 profit to £1 stakes, Alistair Whillans does well with his small string of flat runners and had a decent jumps season. Has been running unsuccessfully over hurdles this winter, which means he should be fit for this run. Should get a decent gallop in this large field which i think he needs. Has a similar profile to some of those at the head of the market but is at a much larger price, probably due to the lesser known trainer and poor form over hurdles which are both insignificant imo.
