About the maltese team. The first goalie, Sultana, doesn't even play in Malta Premier League, he plays in Gozo, a big rock in the sea with about 30.000 people, so I don't expect him to have any form at all. Marinelli and Muscat in defense, Grima and Grech in midfielder, all of them play in First Division, where is hard to even keep track of statistics. In fact, coach Farrugia has expressed his concern about his players not being regulars with their respective clubs, or playing in the lower divisions, due to foreign players. The only influential names here are the attacking duo, Ciantar and Vella,who have been regulars at their respecitve clubs, however have scored together only three goals this season. This team would have been somehow stronger if the midfield duo of Hibernians, Jean Paul Farrugia and Bjorn Kristensen, were there, however this two regulars are ruled out due to injuries. To conclude, this is a team out of form. Montenegro is seeing Malta as an opponent similar in style and intesity with Andorra, the team that MN will face at the start of Euro 2013 qualifications. Since the weak teams are expected to start the qualifications mostly in defense, then Malta is a perfect opponent for the coach Vlaisavljević to see how his team will behave. These players are regulars in their respective teams, some of them play in high profile team (Nacional, Crvenza Zvezda), fully aware that a place in Montenegro NT means an opportunity to sell themselves more expensively to better clubs. The way I see it, this is a game between two teams trying their strategies before Euro 2013, Malta in defense and MN in attack. MN's players are regulars and active in better and strongers team, have a full season behind to reach their optimal form, while on the other side only a small percentage of Malta's players have been somehow activated regularly during this season.
