Personally would fold to the big re-raise from momokmc68 pre-flop, I don't think AJs is ever ahead here. You still have 20 odd big blinds and could wait for a better spot. :ok When the BB re-raises when it goes limp raise it looks strong, they must have a big hand or they're suicidal, not often the latter. If you push all-in here, you would have given the player with A9s more to think about, what would he put you on, he would have to say AK, AQ, AJ or a medium-high pocket pair, either way would he then call with his A9 suited. knowing that if you have AK or AQ he will have a worst kicker, or if you have a Medium-high pocket pair he is looking for any A on the board which would only leave him with 3 outs or would he call with A9s looking to pick up 3 cards to make his flush. The BB with his stack size is always calling you. That said you got the chips in-pre flop, and you where ahead all the way until the river. just unlucky. Was my play correct or not?[/quote'] If your target here is just to make the money, then i think the min raise was a wrong play, Lets say 2 players called you and an A came on the Flop with no K, and you folded, you now have 1620 chips left, your UTG next down to 1520, then you are the BB down to 720, SB down to 320. In 3 hands you would be down to 320 chips and with the antes 100 would could only be able to wait out another 3 hands after been the SB, only if the the level does not go up, just going by the time shown on the hand you posted i would be guessing the level would be going up to 1000/500 with in 2 Mins. You could be out of chips in 3-4 hands knowing that players on other tables will be slowing the play down to get to the money, the blind levels could well be 1000/500 by the time you would be in the money. A Flat call could buy you extra time to get into the money by leaving you with 800 extra chips and a few extra hands to wait it out.
