Just come back from Newbury Racecourse where the West Berkshire Racing Club staged their annual Racing Quiz. West Berkshire A (including yours truly) got beat by a single point in the Elite competition.:sad We played our joker on the last round (double points), of 12 questions on the section "2010 Flat Season". The last question made all the difference! What 66/1 shot, trained in Australia, finished third to Starspangledbanner and Equiano in the July Cup? I knew it began with "A" and a short name. Went for Altash. Answer was Alverta.:wall Gongratulations to the winning team of Graham Dench, Lee Motershead, Craig Thaike and Steve Dennis. :clap:clap:clap Richard Phillips team led it for 7 of the 8 rounds, falling at the last flight. Also Congratulations to Kingsclere, who won the multiple choice competition, just edging it from Lawny Hill's team. Great night. :cheers
