Jump Racing 23/1/11

Leopardstown 1:45 Realt Dubh 5-2 BET365(BOG) 1 Point WIN Taking the early price on this as i think it will disappear early tomorrow. Meade/Carberry combination will be looking to win this one tomorrow and on paper Noble Prince is the bigger danger in my opinion and Realt Dubh beat it by 5l last time out on heavy ground at this race course. Both are kept at the same weights and although the ground is forecast as soft tomorrow i have a feeling it will actually be closer to heavy. The mullins horse is only slight favorite because of the yard it comes from and while it deserves respect i dont think it is a major contender here, the handicapper has been a bit harsh on him. Cant see a danger from any of the others so ill be having quite a big bet on this one, but as with all Irish horse racing take with care. Leopardstown 3:20 Fully Funded 7-1 BET365(BOG) 1 Point WIN Another Meade/Carberry selection tomorrow even though it carries top weight i still think this represents value. Looked impressive when winning a similar grade/ground race at Navan in November but didnt seem to get going at all last time out in a grade one at the same venue carrying seven pounds more. Im willing to forgive that run and to be honest i dont think they pushed the horse all that much maybe with an eye on another race or they thought it was never going to win a grade one with 7lbs extra on its back so this mark looks more realistic. As for the contenders, there are obvious dangers and all have weight on fully funded but none of them are tried and tested at this level so the extra weight is justified, and not too harsh i feel. Hidden Cyclone looks the biggest danger but this is a step up for him too so i expect Fully Funded to lead from the front to put pressure on some of these unknown quantities.

Re: Jump Racing 23/1/11 1:45 Leaopardstown Flat Out 3pt win - 5/2 (Ladbrokes) The 2m novices this year over fences haven't looked particularly special and I think Flat Out is a good price to take his second win over fences. Mixed it with Ireland's best novices over hurdles last season including the grade one second place to Blackstairmountain. Won easily on chasing debut lto despite a terrible jump at the last. This field does contain promising novices such as Saludos, Realt Dubh and Noble Prince but none of them have been dominant in this division and we haven't seen the best of Flat Out yet. Goes on any ground too.
