Our Vic

Martin Pipe has made no secret of his admiration for Our Vic and the six-year-old can prove he has the ability to match his reputation. A High class but lightly raced hurdler, Our Vic stamped himself as an exciting novice over fences last season when he followed a fluent debut win by dissmissing the useful Rosslea bt an easy six lenghts in the Reynoldstown Chase at Ascot. He was sent off a red hot favorite for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, but his stamina gave way up the final hill and he was run out of it by two formidable stayers in Rule Supreme and Royal Emperor. Tomorrow's trip of two miles five furlongs should be much more to his liking and should stamp his class on this race. Any views on this race very :welcome

Re: Our Vic This gives me a bit more confidence,:hope :hope We have two runners in this weekend's big chase. Our Vic is in good form at home and he has been steadily backed all week. He is making his seasonal debut, which is also his first run for 269 days. Redemption only arrived here earlier in the week and he has done plenty of loose schooling since. He does run well in these big races but his jumping usually lets him down. Let's hope that our loose school has worked it's magic. Our Vic should run well and it looks like he has Thisthatandtother to beat from the Nicholls yard. :beer
