2:30 LEOPARDSTOWN JERED 1pt EW - 25/1 (Skybet) Jered appeals at big odds for tomorrow's Paddy Power chase at Leopardstown. Jered has never reached his hurdling heights over fences but comes here on a mark of 137 which looks promising. His latest outings haven't been particularly pleasing runs but the horse's best efforts of late have been at trips in excess of two miles so this step-up to three miles could suit well. One stand-out negative is the horse has only ever won going right-handed, but the price allows for that. He goes on any ground and Noel Meade's string are running pretty consistently.

Re: Jump Racing - 29th December 2:10 NEWBURY AL FEROF 3pts - 5/2 (WH) Al Ferof has been overpriced here in my opinion. Obviously that means I think he would've won had he not fallen last time out. Nicholls holds this one in high regard and with bumper horses tending to need further over obstacles, the upped trip looks sure to suit and based on his bumper form he is the clear pick for me. The second and third favourites are rated 135 and 132 respectively and I'll chance Al Ferof to better those.
