Big Value Home Backs, 18 bets, +76.8% yield.

I have decided to run a backing paper trial alongside my laying trial. The selection process is the same poisson based method as the laying, however I will be backing home teams that are significantly undervalued according to my calculations, rather than laying home teams. In order to make things more interesting I have decided to run a loss-recouping system across each day of bets. I will start with today's matches, placing one point from a one hundred point bank on each selection. If I make a profit on the day then I will not recoup any losses on the next day. However, if there is an overall loss, this will be added to the next day's bets such that the risk for each bet is equal, and each will attempt to make back a small portion of the loss. If the loss is recouped then I go back to placing single level stakes of one point the next day, if it is not recouped then whatever loss remains will be attempted to be recouped by these bets and so on. So, if that makes sense, which it may not as I'm crap at explaining it, here are today's selections. Birmingham @ 7.8, 1 point Millwall @ 2.8, 1 point Norwich @ 1.91, 1 point Preston @ 2.7, 1 point I will take account of Betfair commission at 5% for this trial.

Re: Big Value Home Backs Good luck with your system, V-Zero..... although, for personal reasons, I hope your first selection does not come good ;) One cooment on your loss-recovery staking system...... I tried a more-or-less identical system in the early stages of my "Short Priced Home Favourites" thread. After 4 months, the system was showing a reasonable yield, but when I compared it with a level stakes or fixed percent-of-bank system, it was not performing as well. So, it may be worth running the 2 or 3 staking plans in parallel, to see which one performs the best :ok
