Ok, so I know this is slightly eager, but with 3 days in a row now with no racing, I want to take the price on this nap as I'm convinced it will look a huge price on the day: 3:00 Kempton (King George VI Chase) - Kauto Star - Back I shouldn't even need to do a write-up for this horse to be honest!! He is an absolute legend and I feel priviliged to have been able to watch this horse over the years that he has been in his racing pomp. He is our generation's Desert Orchid. I cannot believe that he is currently odds against despite the absence of Imperial Commander. In my eyes, he should be about 8/11. In light of the news today that Noel Fehily has stood down from his ride today due to injury, AP McCoy has been offered the ride. I fully expect him to stand down from Albertas Run to take the ride. If he does, the McCoy factor will kick into gear on the day and Kauto may well go off at around 8/11 or 4/6. If he doesn't take the ride, he certainly won't go off any bigger than Evens in my opinion, so either way I'll be beating SP. If Kauto is anywhere near his imperious best, he'll win this at a canter. The only horse that can beat Kauto Star on Sunday is Kauto Star. Despite being brilliant, he seems to have an army of doubters that seem to write him off for one reason or another year-in and year-out. Yet he always (or almost always) proves them wrong. He adores this track, and seems almost unbeatable at it. He has made this race his own, and is going for an unprecedented 5 in a row here. Despite the fact I am without doubt a flat racing boy every day of the week, even us flat boys get excited about stuff like this. It would be brilliant to see history, and what a horse to do it. I firmly believe he will, and I'd love to see him win by a wide margin. He's more than capable of doing so. And given that this has become pretty much his race, I genuinely think it will be once again be Kauto Star Day on Sunday 1pt win @ 11/10 William Hill BOG
