Jump Racing 14th December

Dont see a thread already started for this, so apologies if there is one. Not got much time as it is, so didnt get a proper look. :\ Anyway, a couple of selections for today. Don McCain has been in cracking form, and sends a group of runners to Catterick, where he operates at a solid 16% strike rate. Its often worth noting which trainer's runners are running well after a cold snap which we had, and Don Mcain has had 2 winners, and 2 placers from the only 4 runners he has sent out. 3 of his catch my eye today: 13.15 Catterick Omokoroa A new recruit to the yard from the Mark Tompkins stable, this horse looks like he could make into quite a useful hurdler. A capable stayer on the flat, he ended his career racing off 77. Interesting that the owners have bought into this one having had some success with other flat recruits. With Don McCain in good form, I cant help but feel this one's worth a punt. 2 pts ew @ 12.5 Betfair 13.45 Ballabrook Ballabrook is a difficult horse to win with, but I think there is still mileage in him now he has been stepped up to 3 miles. He just seemed to lack a bit of toe at times over 2m 4f, and he showed definite signs of staying the trip when he ran 2nd last time out. This was far from an impressive run, but I wasnt overly convinced about the ride the young amateur gave him, and I'm confident that with Jason Maguire back on board today, Ballabrook will give them a race. 2 pts ew @ 7.0 Betfair 15.15 Dunowen Point Dissapointing when he was beaten favourite last time, but again, with the yard in form, I am expecting him to be too good for these, many of whom may lack a little bit of fitness due to the weather. 5 pts win @ 2.62 Betfair 12.35 Folkestone American Ladie I wrote an article about how I thought it would pay to follow Alan King this year, and he has come good with a number of winners, and well handicapped runners over the last month or so. He picked out American Ladie in his stable tour at the start of the season as one to follow, and after a good run first time out, I think she can build on that and go on to register her first victory. 7.5 pts win @ 6/4 Apologies for ew at Betfair prices, struggling to access any others. GL all :ok
