Record of the Year - Is it fixed?

Recommended Posts

I did a thread on the Record of the Year a couple of years ago tipping up Liberty X. Much to my amazement they got knocked out early before winning the Record of the Year in a more reputable competition. It was a ridiculous result and it really did get me thinking about this whole thing of this Record of the Year. I now ask you for your thoughts and hopefully if anyone can find information who one what in which year it may help. To my knowledge these are the recent winners of the competition: Ronan Keating Boyzone Westlife Gareth Gates S Club 7 Now I would be delighted for someone to prove me wrong before I lump on who I think who is going to win this competition. But don't all of the above acts have something to do with Simon Cowell, Simon Fuller, the diddy Irish fella and BMG records who seem to control our Saturday evening telly with Pop Idol and the X Factor?? ;) So who is in this year competition who are affiliated to those same people? Well they have two entries Will Young - Leave Right now 9/2 (Hills) and Girls Aloud - Love Machine 16/1 (Skybet) I know this a novelty market, but the past few results have been particularly dodgy and would be interested for anyone to post if my deductions above are correct regarding the links between the winners and those people who obviously have an awful lot of influence. I would also be interested to find out who runs this competition as I remember last year as part of the entertainment in the show the Cheeky Girls were on who also have links to this lot. And who would put them on a review of the music year? Interested to hear your thoughts on this and who is a decent defence lawyer :rollin

Re: Record of the Year - Is it fixed? I've just seen that on the Record of the Year home page that Simon Cowell is actually making an appearance on the show on Saturday. Question: How would Simon Cowell be making an appearance on the show unless he something to do with the production? The more I think about it the more I think there is a possibility that this whole thing is a big Simon Cowell, BMG records love in.
