kal_Dhillon Posted October 4, 2010 Share Posted October 4, 2010 Young Lions Vs Sengkang This is a game of 2 struggling teams.Sengkang lay second last in the table.Their current predicament is basicaly down too their poor defensive play.They have let in some sloppy goals today.Scoring 22 (which is joint worst with a couple of clubs) n let in 44 which is the second worst tally.Young lions on the other hand are now in a period of transition...Recently they had 4 played banned for 8 months due to some violent play that caused a match to be abandoned.They will sorely be missed.Home side will denied the services of Gabriel Quak Jun Yi, Khairul Nizam, Madhu Mohana and Fairoz Hasan, after the quartet were handed lengthy suspensions from all football-related activities in the subsequent disciplinary hearing that essentially ended their 2010 season.But the important piece of news today is that these young lions team (a majority of them)recently travelled to vietnam for a quadrangular tournament & basically arrived bck 24 hours ago in preparations for the asian cup.This will not be good preparations & clearly some lads will be going to be feeling abit fatigued.Sengkang does play some decent football & today im going for a shoock result.Sengkang doesn't have much injuries & just a suspension.Its close to a fully fit squad for them. kal_Dhillon Posted October 4, 2010 Author Share Posted October 4, 2010 Re: Singapore League Oct 4th Singapore Armed Forces vs Albirex A month of idling for SAF comes to end.A month of football inactivity will surely be hard to shake off.SAF has come thru a rough period this month.The defending champions have not had the best of title defenses...but have picked it up of late till the months break.Albirex are known for being a decent passing unit that just cant seem to find the killer touch.SAF has a chance too move up the table with a win while Albirex will look too close the gap on Beijing...SAFFC will be deprived of midfielder Rhysh Roshan Rai, who is recuperating after hernia surgery, while wingback Hafiz Osman and forward Indra Sahdan Daud are also out with knee injuries.Albirex will have one eye on the quarter final of the league cup will definately try not to pick up too much injuries & rotate reasonably too leave his team fighting fit.im exxpecting SAF to be proffesional & get the 3 points & quickly try to re establish their grip back after a month of inactivity.They wil look to pick up from where they left off.
