EviL ZippY reacted to Trotter in Racing Chat - Monday Nov 5th
Bit of a loose end today as I've had no work in
For a change of scenery from staring at my Inbox I've gone through the Kempton card and picked a few out. With current best prices ……….
4.30 - Watheerah 15/8, next best Fabiolla 15/8
5.00 - Cloudlam 8/11, next best Falls Creek 14/1 EW
5.30 - Salute The Soldier 10/11, next best Plunger 14/1 EW
6.00 - Crowned Eagle 7/4, next best Atty Persse 9/2
6.30 - Contrive 4/1, next best Golden Iris 6/1
7.00 - Arctic Sea 11/2, next best Mr Minerals 3/1
7.30 - Broad Appeal, 4/1 next best Enmeshing 4/1
Some short priced favourite in the non handicap races but that's how the cookie crumbles.
Let's see how they get on !

12.55 Uttoxeter - WENCESLAUS 7/4 Bet365
David Bridgwater saddled an impressive winner at Stratford yesterday and with his stable in such good form, stablemate WENCESLAUS will be hard to beat here. This improving gelding landed a few nice bets when winning at Plumpton last month, taking the lead turning in and hitting the line strongly without ever being asked for maximum effort.Has a seven pound penalty to carry in similar looking company,so it would be a shade disappointing if he were unable to follow that up.

230 Wetherby
Listed juvenile hurdle and a decent turnout including he ex-Fahey horse Chief Justice now being trained by Gordon Elliott. He has done well so far winning his last 3 starts but this is by far his stiffest task. King D'Argent came here for his debut to get his eye in and won well enough and Ormesher has won two small races for Donald McCain.
I like the King horse Cracker Factory overall, the trainer campaigns his juveniles the right way and he comes here full of experience having won at Aintree and Newton Abbot twice. He was second at Market Rasen last time after setting the race up for a late challenger and will be wiser this time round.
Cracker Factory 2/1 bet365

2.20 Newbury
Young Rascal 11/8 - Bet365
YOUNG RASCAL impressed with his attitude when knuckling down to beat the rejuvenated Mirage Dancer (in a driving finish) over today's course and distance last month, and looks well capable of following up here in this slightly weaker looking race.
Willie Haggas's improving three year old colt had returned from a 112 day break when winning that day,so is likely to be even fitter now.Given he has only had five career starts to date, there seems plenty of scope for further improvement..

345 Cheltenham
Theclockisticking 6/1 bet365
20 runner handicap hurdle here, the first qualifier for the Pertemps Final in March. I'm interested to see how Theclockisticking gets on over this trip. He has always travelled like a good horse and this season has been caught short in a couple of decent races. If he stays 3 miles he could be a very useful too and I think he will be good enough to win here.

Gulliver 18/1 15.10 Newcastle. Elusive Heights 9/1 17.45 Newcastle. I believe there will be a drift in the market for these closer to time off. Both go in with a chance.

I just came in to tip Polybius , I’ve won more than I’ve lost with him (probably..)

Swansway 9/2 bet365
Backed this one last time out and thought he was a bit unlucky to bump into another well treated runner who got first run on him. They finished well ahead of the pack and its interesting that they have dropped back in trip with him. This track is stiff and maybe it was just too much over 12f and i'm expecting him to finish much stronger today.
310 Newcastle
Ploybius 13/2 betfair
Cracking Class 2 sprint here and I think Polybius and Oisin Murphy are a perfect match. He's a very tricky customer who has to be delivered by Royal Mail (late) and I think he will get a real strong pace to aim at here and a stiff finish so the front runners should come back to him quicker. EW bet to nothing at this price.

320 Plumpton
Boychick 3/1 bet365
Just one jumps meeting at Plumpton and not a great turnout due to the ground. Boychick has been running well in defeat and you can set your clock by him since he went over hurdles. The handicapper has just eased him a couple of pounds and trainer Harry Wittington has put a good young 5lb claimer on board for the first time so I reckon this could be the day he gets his head in front. (Its also second run after a wind op)

Carlisle
3/1 Double Paddy Power
Good Boy Bobby 2.45 (8/13)
Al Dancer 3.15 (6/4)
Been looking at the stats for Nigel Twiston-Davies when he makes the long journey up to Carlisle (240 miles).
Years ago he used to travel up quite a nit but recently has been very selective and last year had two winners from his 5 runners (both Nov Hdles). I reckon he has picked out some good opportunities for his novice hurdlers tomorrow and fully expect the well regarded Good Boy Bobby (2.45) to make a winning start in his new career.
Al Dancer (3.15) is another with a great chance, he moved to the trainer from Christian Williams and made no mistake on his debut at Bangor, a good 4th at Aintree last time out showed he has plenty of potential and should make a useful novice hurdler this term.

150 Ascot
Lush Life 7/1 Corals
I was impressed by Lush Life when she won after a lay off at Chelmsford at the end of August, she took on a useful sort that day and got up in the last stride after looking booked for second. Next time out at Sandown I was a bit disappointed but looking back that form wasnt too bad, the winner has won again and the stiff finish just found her out maybe?
Back to 7f here and William Buick booked so i'm expecting her to bounce back to form.
_______________
£20 challenge:
250 Hexham
Todays pick boiled down to two races at Hexham as Fontwell is an awful card. The mares race at 2.50 looks the most interesting.
Tara Mac makes the long journey up and bolted up over fences last time, she rarely runs two races the same and looks a bit short in the betting. Gordon Elliott sends one in the shape of Isle Of Destiny, she has finished 3rd in her last 3 maiden hurdles and is not especially treated on 107 as far as I can see.
The two I like are Lady Mix and Katy Royal, Lady Mix will attempt to make all, she's pretty gutsy and will take some passing while Katy Royal is my top rated runner who stays 3 miles, thats not a bad thing on this stiff track and could be going on at the end when some have had enough.
£3.68 Lady Mix 9/1
£4.32 Katy Royal 15/2
£1 Comb F/C: 1,2,3,11

Interesting raid on Sedgefield?
Charles Byrnes sends two horses to Sedgefield tomorrow, as far as i can see he has only had 3 runners at the track previously, a winner in 2007 and two others, the last one in 2009.

**Just going to put some value bets up in here from now on, Naps can found on the Tips page which will be shorter priced horses running at one of the 10 tracks to follow if possible.
410 Catterick
Sunshineandbubbles 12/1 EW bet365
Noted this running ok when returning from an absence a couple of runs back, to be honest i expected more next time out but ran a bit flat which can often happen on the second start. Goes back up in trip and runs on better ground and I think she's overpriced at 12/1.

315 Haydock
Final Venture 12/1 Hills
Final Venture looks a bit of value in this handicap over 5f. Not won for ages but always seems to run well here and was a winner in soft ground over C/D last summer. Finished 5th in Listed company last time at Doncaster and this contest looks right up his street.

410 Newmarket
Sheikhzayedroad 11/4 BetVic/ Coral
This represents a drop in class for Sheikhzayedroad and comes here rather than going back to Ascot in a couple of weeks and taking on the best stayers around. He showed a bit more like it last time at Doncaster when 3rd to the Mullins pair, although beaten 7 lengths he faces nothing of that calibre here.

510 Warwick
Dory 5/2 bet365
Ian Williams is in good form and can take this with the top weight Dory. She used to be with Warren Greatrex but has probably improved since the switch. Well backed on debut this season but was beaten and then made no mistake at Uttoxeter last time although her market rival fell. Personally I think she would have won anyway and looks a bit better than her mark of 110 on her handicap debut.
