  1. Re: Off to Haydock on Saturday sentimental bet for me in schelm in the swinton at 1355. won some good money on this before, been crying out for some better ground, though shade high in the weights. not much chance of winning, and biggest price i have ever seen a ronnie o'leary horse in this country. i will be having £2 on at 50's:tongue2

  2. Re: Mad Dash Jockeys Alert

Devil had a look at that race and once again its the only race on the card RON & REG are in' date= the last time i done a post like this, one of them won on the outsider 25/1, NOTE they always need watched when they are both in the same race, this is the only race they are in together!!!! Ron & Reg aka the hills brothers...
u crack me up m8:clap can see why munro is going over for the race being a group 3, but he will be cutting it fine...not sure if his boss will be happy if he doesnt make it.
  3. like to follow jockeys when they hotfoot it over to a 2nd afternoon meeting, and there is one i have spotted for saturday... alan munro 3 rides at ascot, dashes over to lingfield 46.2 miles according to google maps for a ride for his gaffer peter chapple-hyam. last ride at ascot 1415 we'll come then to lingfield 1545 select.. if anyone spots any others post them up, we will follow them here:ok

  4. 1415 victoria cup slugger o'toole e/w willing to take a chance on slugger o'toole currently a massive 50.0 on betfair. i reckon the place to be in the race is middle, and stall 14 has won this the last 2 years. drawn in 15, the slugger has dropped to an attractive mark after a couple of lacklustre efforts this year. in his defence, the going was wrong lto, wasnt drawn great at donny when fancied. the race today is awash with hold up horses, and i have had to have a real good look to see where the pace will come from. the middle drawn runners should get a good tow from majuro in 13. with such a big field they may split into 3 groups, but i reckon it will be 2, the middle and the stands side. the larger group should come down the middle, so would be hoping that that group would have the edge come the line. if the slugger could produce some of his old form over 7f from last year, the 50.0 could look massive.

  6. Re: Nottingham - 9th May. had a bit of info on molly two lto in the 1350. been hammered by the handicapper, 10lbs for a pillar to post victory over cd. think the stable are backing it tomorrow, even with the harsh rise:eek. has really come on from last year, though faces a tougher task this time. might be 6 or 7/1 come race time.

it came up g/s that day and was peeing it down, carsons horse needed better ground so he took a wide course on the opposite side to the other runners, under the trees at swinley bottom. great effort
  8. Re: Southwell Tues 5th May

Unlucky mate' date=' Joe Fanning sitting still instead of kicking on earlier. Should of won imo.[/quote'] looked the winner all over 2f out, thought it was the day today. unfortunately his style of racing leaves him there to be shot at. nice tip in bbotd welshman:clap
  9. Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May)

Fakenham 14.50 Mistral de la cour 1 pt win The horse seems to find his form. Michael o'Connel will ride him once again and will claim a little bit. The main bunch of favorits are very well put up with weights. Mistral last win was on June on g/f ground and on almost the same distance. Just to mention that the same horse has a win over Kauto Star four years ago :)
good luck mate.....had to laugh at the result when he beat kauto....

  10. 1430 5f handicap Spic and Span 9/2 BOG Bet365 the guto and colorus show swings into town again, with bill ratcliffe in the form of his life, yet i think they will all have to catch spic and span today. not disadvantaged by a high draw i am expecting this one to lead from pillar to post, and hopefully not get caught on the line again. given a chance by the handicapper, in form and a great jockey booking with joe fanning up. if he gets out and to the front i would expect this to be close off this mark.

  11. Re: Best Bet Of The Day (tues 5th May) 20.05 5f handicap Rio Sands supernap 2pts think that there will be support for this today in the 5f race, plum draw in 1, had a couple of runs to blow away the cobwebs, should be ready to put his best foot forward. must be up there off a mark of effectively 61 with the claimer on, trainer knows the time of day, plenty of positives and too big at this price. the rain in yorkshire shouldn't be any problem, and would expect the going to be good. guaranteed pace in stall 2 from angle of attack, the race should be set up for a finisher, and rio sands is coming into his time of year. __________________

  13. Re: Thirsk Sat 2nd May 2009

1650 5f handicap Blazing Heights E/W 25/1 Betfred,Totesport too big at 25/1 for a horse drawn high(15 of 16) at thirsk over 5f,with a big bias(over 60% winners over the last 3 years). could be a bit of value here. the obvious choice drawn high sandwith is creeping up the weights for not winning, and is maybe worth a saver at 7/1, but have a sneaky feeling that jim goldie has got his string in good form after a few nice wins this week. expect the pace drawn high to come from the nichols horse drawn 10 leagle eagle, which should set the race up for a finisher, which i expect to be sandwith and last of all to be blazing heights! on a mark of effectively 66 with the capable kelly harrison taking 3 off, should be in better heart after a break when last seen finishing 13 of 13 in november. bit of a punt assuming the horse is fit but should get a good run for my money today at a sporting price.
well expected leagle eagle to blaze a trail, my lad did ok and went off a well backed 12/1 shot running up the rail into a place. the winner mandurah won a shade cosily on the far side, and i for one will definately be backing that one next time out in a similar contest.
  14. 510 salisbury Manchestermaverick 7/1 Betfred on a fair mark and a capable pilot on board in this sort of event. likes to be close to the pace which is where you need to be in these amateur riders races. rider 22% strike rate in similar events, great bet today.

  15. my mate has been on to me this morning, he follows the adrian massey system, especially when a five star selection is produced! there are 4 five star selections at uttoxeter today, so i have had a lucky 15 on all 4(i must be mad!!!) the selections are for anyone interested.... 210 iris's flyer 6/1 245 rio de janeiro 5/2 320 rathcor 7/1 355 pretty star 12/1 right off to the footy, time for a few pints....best of luck today all:hope

  16. Re: Thirsk Sat 2nd May 2009

I like this one as well Tish will most likely put to up in the FTTS. Mr Goldie's horses always worth a 2nd look in these races.
aye ted seem to remember you tipping up a couple of big price goldie sprinters last year m8. danny tudhope has opted to ride the john quinn trained runner which is a bit of a negative though......could need the run today, but at that price worth a punt. good luck mate.

  18. Re: Southwell Fri 1st May

1650 7f handicap gracies gift 7/2 joe coral corals being brave putting this one up at 7/2, 11/4 in places and could be shorter. quickly turned out after a good second at yarmouth last night, the gelding can take advantage of a handy mark of effictively 49 today with the claimer up. placed over distances from 5-8f, would expect to see this one held up with a late and hopefully winning challenge today.
left it late enough, got some 48.0 in running so happy days:beer
