Re: should i cover my bet??? You are right in what you say Tipstar, but I think in these situations the laying decision depends some what on why the bet was placed in the first place. If you backed DiMarco cos you thought he was going to win the tournament then just covering the stake is a great idea. If you backed DiMarco because you thought he would progress further and his price shorten then guaranteeing yourself maximum profit on either side is the way to go. The only problem with the latter is that it removes any fun from watching the Final this afternoon!

After vowing not to have another Rugby League bet this season, I have found myself going overboard on an early line put out by Bet&Win for Wigan v Bradford game this weekend. They are 4/5 Bradford with a TEN point start. I know Bradford have had a shite start to the season, but Wigan haven't been pulling up any trees either, would have thought the start would be nearer 4.

Re: Super league X Nice one Paul, had every intention of getting on, but had no access yesterday

Re: Royal Claptrap! Can't beat Hills for coming out with totally unbackable specials!!! William/Harry engagement or marriage aint gonna happen this year Although I reckon it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibilty for Charles to renounce the throne I can't see why he would do so this year The only one that has any potential is the Queen to still be monarch on 1/1/2010, I think 1/2 is a decent price, but wouldn't want my money tied up for nearly 5 years!!!

Re: Super league X Good start Paul took the -6 on Leeds myself (might as well start the season off as the last one finished!!), thought they had weathered the storm by halftime and would pull away in the 2nd half, but fair play to Hull, showed a fair bit of character there.

Re: Golf this week BUICK/S A OPEN Just seen Charlie Howell on Sky. He is two shots back he fires at the pin, the ball goes down the hole, bounces back out and goes in the water. What a pisser!!!!

Re: Snooker: Welsh Open Sorry Mullahoran - am with you now :ok

Re: Snooker: Welsh Open Can't see Hendry at 4/1 even if he wins the remaining tournaments between now and the World's. Although if nothing else he must have proved to himself this week that he can still cut it.

Re: Cricket, 5th and final test England v South Africa I O B - top batsman bets on matches are 1st Inns score only. Fair point by Dave.

Re: Snooker: Welsh Open Looks like a good match between Ebdon and Perry They have shared the first four frames and have each got a 90 break and a century (Perry 132)

Re: Sunday Express Makes for interesting reading Jezza. Just starting to mess about with the free play tables, but don't feel ready to part with my hard earned just yet!!!

Re: Premier League Snooker Do you know something about Sky's 2005 schedule that we don't, Paul? :lol Fair comment though.

New format for this season, and live coverage from Sky. All matches played over 6 frames, and player's have 25-seconds max per shot. Should make interesting watching. Two matches tonight Davis v Fu There is a small arb available for this match. Sporting odds give Davis a 0.5 frame start at 5/6, and at Betdirect you can back Fu to win at 11/8. Otherwise Davis available at 9/4 Laddies and Skybet Draw 13/5 with Totesport Hendry v White Best Prices Hendry 5/6 Blue Sq,Betdirct Draw 11/4 Totalbet, UKBetting,Totesport White 7/2 Laddies/Corals Wouldn't have a clue who to back and why, but I know there are a few Snooker punters on here who might know something!!

Re: Mosconi Cup - 16th/19th December Yep I'd agree with you there

Re: "How To Earn A Living From Football Betting"... Please don't buy it mate. There's going to be nothing in here that you can't find for free. You might be better doing the same as him (if your conscience will allow!!) and knocking some thing up for sale

Re: Mosconi Cup - 16th/19th December just switched Sky on and Earl the Pearl has just got a Golden Break, and I heard the commentators say it was the second of the night - so you are sitting pretty now Ian

Re: 1 Goal Glory :clap another one safely in the bag

Start off with congratulations to Steven Maguire for lifting the Uk Championship :clap . But are the bookies not guilty of overreacting with quotes ranging from 7/2 (Totesport) to 7/1 (Laddies) for Maguire to win the World Championship? He has been impressive and he can only beat the people put in front of him, something he has done with relative ease over the last fortnight. But the World Championship is 5 months away, and surely not going to be subject to the same seed carnage as we have seen here. Hendry (10/1) , Higgins (12/1) & Williams (14/1) are all avaliable at double figure quotes!!!!!!

Re: UK Snooker Championships (Starts Nov 15th)
:clapPerhaps David Gray has the best chance of the outsiders? -
Re: Question Hi Mr Soft - Welcome Try the 'systems & strategies' , or the 'tipster proofing' sections. :ok

Re: I'm a Celeb get me out of here (series 4) That's one of the problems with these shows now. When 'reality' tv started producers were looking for the contestants to provide the entertainment, but a few years on more and more of them seem to be 'mananged' events to try to encourage sponteneity (sp?).
