  1. Re: Arsenal v Chelsea > Monday December 23rd Well to be exact the weather in Holloway tonight will be moderate rain, 9 degree Celsius and 29mph Windspeeds. It's not like we are talking about a heavy storm and freezing temperatures. It will be windy and rainy but nothing spectacular. I doubt it will have a deciding effect on the game. The injuries. Arsenal: Sanogo,Diaby,Ox-Chamberlain, Wilshere and Podolski ( doubtful ) Koscielny ( doubtful ) Chelsea: Bertrand ( doubtful ), Van Ginkel, Essien Find it difficult to get a good grasp of this game. Just looking at Chelsea's unstable away form and their history of slip ups so far this season I will probably take Arsenal. They seem to do well at home against top sides where they play a solid game. Simply put I trust Arsenal at home and I do not trust Chelsea away. With the importance of this game I think not one side will play an open game and I lean towards under 2.5 goals but that's so tricky with teams that have attackers that can make goals out of the blue.

  2. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14

Yeah well it's not that Cambuur created much chances. The win of Ajax is totally undeserved' date=' but it happens. Vitesse just has too much quality and their win wasn't undeserved at all. P[b']SV is an unexperienced team, but I believe their squad definitely has the most talent of the whole Eredivisie. They just lack the experience. Then you get results like these. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
This is just quite easy to say after the games are concluded and the result is known. But join in next time before the games start I think you can give some good advice :ok
  3. Re: Netherlands Jupiler League 2013/2014 For today there are two games with acceptable odds on the straight win. FC Twente Youth - Ajax Youth It is not hard to make out which one is the favorite of the two which is FC Twente youth. Out of all the youth teams Ajax is by far the one with the biggest instability attached to them. Jong FC Twente was seen as the inferior of the traditional 3 youth teams however they have made the biggest impression in the past six weeks by defeating the current top 3 in the league in recent weeks. They have booked stunning victories on Sparta Rotterdam and League leader and favorite for the title FC Dordrecht at home and Willem II away. They have also convincingly defeated Telstar and Fortuna who are of the same strength as Ajax Youth. Let there be no doubt that they are the massive favorites and with a generous 2,00 odd offer some decent value. So what is the catch? Most likely youthful instability, these teams combine brilliant with awful matches. Altough Twente seems to be relatively stable they are a stable force at home not away. Ajax seems to have the same problem which is ofcourse in our favour but a couple of weeks ago they have beat FC Eindhoven away whilst now having lost 4 matches away in a row to mediocre sides. So really pesky about this teams is that you cannot really be sure of the line up but with a record so strong I think I will have a pun on FC Twente to win today. Ajax have one of the worst defenses in the league with 42 goals conceded in 20 matches which is a number close to what the current relegation candidates have. Now another interesting fact is that FC Twente having used none of their youth team players this weekend whilst Ajax played with their top scorer of the youth team Andersen in the match against Cambuur, that is a jolly good thing for this match as he will not play today, neither can their top player Klaassen play as he also played this weekend. He was the man who scored the winning goal in their stunning away victory 1-2 to FC Eindhoven. That is to massive advantage of FC Twente. So I will take the straight FC Twente win tonight @ 2,00 Mybet. The only thing that could ruin this bet is like I said youthful instability could lead to a suprising draw or defeat but I am quite pleased with how Twente performs at home let's hope they can do that today too! Jong PSV - FC Dordrecht This game is almost an exact copy of the game I tipped a few weeks back when Jong PSV got defeated by FC Eindhoven. The circumstances are in fact almost the same. Dordrecht is the current league leader and they are with FC Eindhoven, Willem II and Sparta the top teams in the league. They are also a team that performs really welll on the road and the best news is that Jupiler league topscorer Giovanni Korte is back for fc Dordrecht. Dordrecht are at full strength tonight and then they are a really tough nut to crack. One catch is that PSV might get Bakkali and Jozefoon at their disposal as they did not play for PSV 1 this week but they were in the selection. I am not sure what the rule is but I think they can be used in the youth team. In that case it's a little trickier. So that is something that is not yet know now but only a brilliant day from Jong PSV could prevent a win from FC Dordrecht with no injuries. They might have that today but the chances are not that great. FC Dordrecht are a team with a better team and a stronger away record than Eindhoven so only bad luck could result in a draw or loss today. I will take the straight Dordrecht win @ 2,00 Mybet.

  4. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14

I don't think he was having a dig at all mate :ok If people bet on the favourites every week it was probably a good day :D But long term value is the aim :unsure
I was just pissed off that 3 of my bets with value got so close and have the better of the chances but don´t make the necessary goals ;) Maybe an objective Punter new to this league could probably make a better tipster than someone who is been following it all his life. Some foundations of this league are being shook with PSV being the biggest pain in the ass at the oment. I think anyone from this country yesterday would have told you to lay psv and most would have layed heracles as well due to their record but the suprises keep happening every week I guess that is the only stable factor in this league. I am having a small go at the Jupiler today and if that fails too just ban me :clap
  5. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14

I agree this league is very unstable at the minute.... Not that I know too much! It just seems lots of teams are in transition and Vitesse have capitalized on that. They seem to be playing with confidence and have some good players. Cambuur didn't look that bad to me though when they played Vitesse' date=' so maybe its no surprise NAC got a couple of goals today as all they needed was the rub of the green. PSV have been poor for a while, clearly in transition.[/quote'] The question I ask myself is transition to what really? Who knows what will happen next week it seems teams make a 180 performance turn each week. Ajax played fantastic last week, terrible today and deserved nothing. PSV played their worst match in ages last week and their best match in about a year today, they could have won 0-10 against Utrecht who had not even lost a match at home this season. NAC deserved a draw today and AZ had plenty more chances than Heracles but get a very unlucky goal right at the start of the match then they dominate the game but fail to score. Then a late goal in the 95th minute when they play all or nothing and it seems Heracles deserved it but that is total nonsense. I take my hands off it untill it stabilizes a bit because no team performs steadily at all at the moment. But I invite Themanwithtestats to predict the correct outcomes of the matches next weekend as he clearly saw this coming and after all the games could tell exactly that this was a perfectly expected outcome as his favourits won. That is so impressive too bad he did not tell us beforehand!
  6. Re: Ligue 1 Orange > December 13th - 15th Had a totally similar experience today in the Dutch league basicly most of your predictions are spot on and teams get all the chances they need but just fail to score. I feel your pain :) I appreciate the effort you put into it and it just shows how luck can be a huge factor that is impossible to predict if it's on your side, even for a seasoned punter like you. Keep it up don't listen to the neds that insult you but never put up some decent advice themselves. A good day will come soon.

  7. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14

How is it unstable 4 of the 5 favorites won and Heracles weren't a massive underdog!
You want to be smart now? If the favorite PSV last week loses 2-6 at home to the underdog then wins the next away game 1-5 against the best performing home team of the league then you tell me a similar league where this sort of nonsense happens? Utrecht did not lose a home game in 8 matches suddenly loses with shocking numbers to a team that themselves have not won a game in 2 months. Heracles is the worst performing home team in the league before this game they had 1 win in 8 matches at home yet they beat AZ which is one of our best teams and together with Ajax the only team left in Europe. If you win only 1 of your 8 home games and you face one of the strongest teams in the league you are the massive underdog. Then Ajax plays their worst away game to date according the coach and gets a 93rd minute totally undeserved win against Cambuur. Nac gives Vitesse a match and barely loses by one goal. Feyenoord,AZ and Cambuur all have the better chances and fail to deliver the goals, it was an unlucky day for me and you come tell me aftewards that it was perfectly logical, very impressive.
  8. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14 My picks for tomorrow: SC Cambuur Leeuwarden - AFC Ajax With the current Ajax form and their level of play I think Ajax is the favorite here. However I like the odds on Cambuur alot. Ajax have had a really tough and mentally exhausting Champions league game against Milan this week and after such a game I believe there is a possibility that they will under perform. For the past years every year around this time before the winter break ajax have dropped points to make their infamous comeback for the title. Both Cambuur and Ajax have no critical injuries altough Ajax have Siem de Jong injured which is a loss for them as he is in the top 3 of goalscorers but they have a good enough bench to replace him. Obviously Ajax is the favorite but I think it is advisable to more often than not seek the value in this league as every week there seem to be alot of suprises. Cambuur at home are simply a challenge for any team in the eredivisie. They play opportunistic fighting football and with the right amount of luck they can get a result against Ajax. They have won at home against Groningen, Utrecht and Heracles which is quite impressive for a promoted side. They barely lost against Twente ( 0-1 ). I will take either the Cambuur DNB @ 4,7 Unibet or the Cambuur EH+1 @ 2,6 Bet365. Feyenoord - FC Groningen Feyenoord is finally back in shape and found their feet in the past 2 games by defeating Heerenveen away, which is together with Ajax away one of the hardest games for my Team, and PSV at home. I expect them to continue this success tomorrow as they have really build up their confidence level. Groningen is quite a decent team that should not be underestimated and the price on the 1x2 odds are quite short on Feyenoord. Groningen have one important midfielder injured but he is of no decisive quality to the team and Feyenoord are at full strength. I expect a Feyenoord team that finally realizes it has got real title chances this year. So a very aggressive and attacking approach must be expected. Historically this is one of the easier fixtures for us when we have a quality team which is the case at the moment. I expect Groningen to crumble under the pressure of the Kuip crowd and Feyenoord's attacking pressure. The average age of their defenders is around 22/23 which is perfect for Feyenoord as these young players are more often that not really prone to mistakes under the crowd pressure and it is helpful when there are no real experienced defenders. I expect there will be a red card for one of the younger defenders. In a similar game against Twente in which Groningen got trashed 5-0 they took a red card. I am taking Feyenoord-1 EH @ 1,91 and perhaps Feyenoord -2 EH @ 3,30 both at Paddypower. Other possible bets are red card or a penalty given. I have yet to look up these odds I will try to add them later. Jean-Peal Boëtius and Graziano Pellé are the two attacking players in form and I expect a goal of both and will probably take Boëtius to score at anytime too. Heracles Almelo - AZ Alkmaar I fancy the odds on AZ here they are quite good for a Heracles that is not performing good at all this year at home. AZ have one of the best teams in the league but suffer from two important injuries Elm and Gudelj are huge misses on the midfield and if they were playing I would take this bet straight away. However in the game against Twente which they lost in the 90th minute or so at home last week it showed just how important these two are for the balance on their midfield. However Heracles is extremely weak at home this season with only 1 win so far and losses against alot of teams which have less quality players than AZ. In fact Heracles is the weakest team at home in the eredivisie with only 1 win in 7 game in their stadium. I do think AZ can still win without the 2 players mentioned but it will be alot tougher and Heracles will certainly get their chances. The attack and defense of AZ are however still of very good quality for eredivisie standards and much better than Heracles'. I think this will give the edge to AZ and therefore I will take: AZ to win AH+0,5@ 2,20 Pinnacle. Vitesse Arnhem - NAC Breda Well here is an interesting match up with one of the best home teams vs one of the worst away teams. Obviously Vitesse are favorites for this match and any EH or AH will be a logical pick for this match. However there is one catch in my opinion and that is NAC's 4-0 defeat in Amsterdam last week. I expect them not to make the same mistake twice and that is to try anything remotely in terms of attacking football against Vitesse. I think they will simply try to hold their ground as much as possible and try to prevent Vitesse from scoring goals. NAC is not all that bad as they get good results at home but away they forget they are better of playing anti football instead of trying to play pressure as they do not have the quality for that. I think Vitesse will have a tough opponent in a very defensive NAC that will try antyhing to prevent another humiliation. NAC have their two top strikers Poepon and Verbeek injured Vitesse are at full strength minus Theo Janssen who is still the best midfielder and their free kick specialist. My feeling strangely enough is to take a +1 EH on NAC at around 4,00 @ Mybet. However this is quite an insane thing to do however what is logical in this league anway? Surprises happen every week. I think it is objectively much better to take Vitesse on a handicap but the odds are so short I don't think it is worth the money. I think NAC will do everything in their power to prevent Vitesse from scoring and perhaps with a bit of luck get a result. I think I will skip it but if I have that strong feeling still tomorrow I might give it a long shot. Utrecht - PSV The current road to financial independence in the Eredivisie seems to be to lay PSV at every possible chance. It might be counter intuitive as last week I still backed them only to see them give away a shocking 3 goals in the space of 5 minutes when the scoreboard said 2-3 to Vitesse and closed with 2-6 to Vitesse, a game so bad I have never seen such a thing from PSV in my life. It was this display and the loss against a mediocre Ukrainian team in the UEFA league this week that makes me not bet on this team again. Their attack is not delivering anything in the past weeks and their defense is getting worse by the match. Utrecht are the 2nd strongest teams in the eredivisie when it comes to home matches having won 6 of their last 8 games at home and draw 2. The Odds are quite good on Utrecht. I will take the 3,2 @ Paddypower for a straight Utrecht win. I am still considering a handicap either in favour of Utrecht of PSV it will depend for me at the line-up and the possible changes Cocu will make to his team. There is a draw risk as important defender Bruma returns and PSV wil have slightly more defensive stability. Park returns but Schaars is now injured so on the midfield they will struggle even more to keep the balance as they have way too many attacking players. Their best attacking players Matavz and Wijnaldum are still injured. Depay,Locadia and Narsingh are not delivering at all. Utrecht have quite some injuries but none of them to a critical defender or attacker. Their best players are able to play tomorrow. Objectively there is no reason to even consider a draw anymore but still PSV remains a bit dangerous with Park and Bruma back in the line up. I think it's safe to say PSV will not win at Utrecht and I think I am best off taking a straight Utrecht win at the previous mentioned odd. If the line up tomorrow holds any surprises I might consider a last minute draw possibility.

  9. Re: Europa League > Thursday December 12th

Frankfurt - Apoel over 2.5 This appeals as an interesting overs bet tonight. Apoel can still qualify but they need to beat Frankfurt tonight by 4 goals difference and hope Maccabi will lose if they want to have a chance of going through to the next round. I am not sure if APOEL have already given up on this league but if I am not mistaken they are the only team from Cyprus left in Europe and there will be some honor at stake and a real albeit small chance of qualifying. Eintracht Frankfurt score at home quite easily themselves in this group having defeated Bordeaux 3-0 and Maccabi 2-0 at home. But they are already qualified so who knows what team they will play with tonight. That is the tricky part of this bet I have no idea what Frankfurt's idea for this match will be. All I know is that APOEL can not play for some 0-0 or 1-1 as they will have to open it up immensely to get to 4 goals. Normally this is quite a defensive team so they have to change up their style completly leading to plenty of chances for Frankfurt as well who managed to beat them 0-3 away already. Unless both sides have given up this might not be a good bet but it seems to me APOEL really has something to play for. Frankfurt is the risk part as they might play with a second choice team. Bets to consider: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.91 William Hill Over 3.5 goals @ 3.25 Willam Hill
Small update I have just seen that Frankfurt has made about 9 changes to the starting line up. Playing with none of their top scorers and with 4 replacements in the defense. So now this bet becomes trickier as I cannot predict the quality of the Frankfurt attack or defense. It might be that they score 1 2 or in the worst case zero and all 3 goals will have to come from Apoel. This makes this bet a whole lot risky-er. It's not so easy to score against Apoel and it is definitely not easy if you play with second tier attackers and five midfielders. The only reason to bet this is that Apoel has to play open house tonight but nobody can honestly tell you anything about the quality of the Frankfurt squad. I think it is best to sit this one out. And to make matters worse APOEL is not even playing with the first team so this is a total call off.
  10. Re: Europa League > Thursday December 12th

that's the worst accumulator i have seen. you'd be lucky to get two correct. all teams have everything to play for. if they win the match they get 250000.
I doubt this sort of money for the club will motivate players at all. I think players will only be really motivated if there is a real gain for themselves, progressing in the tournament and playing more european football and the ability to showcase themselves to bigger clubs might be a real motivation. The only motivation I could see is in game where there is no qualification possible anymore is that B team players want to show themselves to the coach and will give it their all. But who can predict such a thing that is nearly impossible. I doubt regulars would want to risk an injury and will just try to save legs for the important domestic games.

  12. Re: Europa League > Thursday December 12th

Sheriff Tiraspol - Tromso Sheriff is in 3d place with 3 points in Group K! At home they are 0-1-1 goals 0:2 ! After five games played they lost two and drew three! They lead the Divizia Nationala in Moldova with 50 points ,11 points ahead Fc Tiraspol. Sheriff stadium have natural grass, even though it looks like turf! They are a good team but interesting fact is the top scorer of squad is a defender Luvannor 15/18,but 0 goals in Europa League. The only missing for home team is brasilian striker Ricardinho 7/1. Tromso Il is in last place with 1 point. Away they are 0-0-2 goals 0:4 ! They relegate this year in Addecoligaen. Left the squad defender Saliou Ciss ( to Valenciennes France) and midfilder Josh Pritchard . Also defender Jaroslaw Fojut 7/0 suspended ,striker Steffen Nyström 3/0 injured . Striker Zdenek Ondrasek 6/1 is the most danger player in Tromso squad. Even the odds are in home favor i believe in a good result tonight in Moldova for Norwegians ! Pick DNB Tromso 5.00 @ Bet365 5/10 Good Luck!
Both teams have nothing to play for in terms of qualification. That´s one hell of a risky bet as it is impossible to predict which side will be motivated and which side won´t. Maybe sherif is motivated to hold on to 3rd spot and maybe tromso is motivated to get the 3rd spot or maybe neither of them has any motivation tonight as they play for nothing that could bring real fire into them. I was thinking of trying to find some unders games as most sides are already qualified and will try to save legs for their respective leagues. But the problems is just that the statistics are quite unreliable as you have no idea what players will be fielded. I myself was also thinking of taking Tottenham-Anzhi as an under or PAOK AZ Alkmaar. But for AZ I know they field a complete B team for this fixture meaning all of the previous statistics were played with a different team and have no relevance to this match. So that is the tricky part maybe you get some reserve players who will want to take this chance to show their capabilities for the first team and play motivated like there is no tomorrow. Same for Tottenham maybe some 2nd choice attackers want to prove their worth and just score 3 against a reserve defense of Anzhi that lacks quality. I think I will seek it tonight in the teams that have something to play for and have some quality so at least you can be sure they will try their best and the first team players will play.
  13. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14 Senk could you include odds if you recommend a bet? Only have time for short comments but I will give my opinion on todays matches. Ajax vs NAC. This game in which it looks so obvious to take a handicap, just like against Ajax - RKC ( 0-0 result ) is a game I will avoid. Youthful instability is what I expect and NAC is a very cheeky side that obviously do not have the quality to bet on but can with the right amount of luck score one or two goals and gone is the handicap. It is tricky Ajax are steamrolling but how many times through the years I have seen them do that for 2 or 3 games and then all of a sudden play 1-1 or 0-0 at home. I do not trust Ajax that much tonight and I am staying out of it but good luck with the AH. AZ Alkmaar vs Twente Now this was my favourite game to bet on, on AZ straight win as they have imo the best team in the eredivisie. But I found out AZ have two critical injuries on the midfield, Elm and Gudelj both are a huge factor on the stability and dominance of their team. I still expect Alkmaar to win this but I find it to risky with the hits they took on the midfield I cannot risk they simply get outplayed by Twente that dominates the midfield today due to the loss of controlling stability. So another stay away game for me but last minute weakness of mind might persue me to take AZ the AZ winn @ 3,0 Mybet find it very juicy. Waalwijk vs Cambuur Can't feel any enthusiasm on this one either Waalwijk are so instable. Yes they beat Feyenoord with the luckiest win of 2013 but also got beat by Go Ahead Eagles and Roda at home not too long ago and the latter defeats just counts toward great instability for me. Cambuur is very poor away but even a blind dog finds a bone every now and again. I expect them to fight today and find these teams more than capable to draw against eachother. PSV vs Vitesse Wow I do not remember the day I could get a 2,05 odd for a PSV home win against Vitesse! It's like seeing water burning and this odd is looking really juicy to me. Obviously the bookies have lost faith in PSV. But I haven't definitely not at home in the Philips stadium. They have 16 goals for and 3 goals against in 7 home games. It shows they are not that poor actually at home. Only Vitesse's wins against Ajax and Heerenveen stand out but these were incredibely lucky wins against an ajax that was not in shape and against a heerenveen that deserved to win. Vitesse have also drawn Roda, and lost to Ado and RKC away so I do believe PSV have every chance in this one. They do miss some critical players but have my favourit 4 attackers up front Locadia, Depay, Narsingh and Maher and each of them bring alot of speed and dynamism. Finally cocu plays with 2 real controlling midfielders, instead of 2 attacking and leaving me to believe he got wiser now and PSV will play alot more stable. Throwing out the poor in form Toivionen is also the best decision he could make now. All in all I expect PSV to win this one as in my opinion Vitesse are overvaluated at this moment. Taking PSV to win @ 2,05 Pinnacle

  14. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14

One game for tonight. I don´t have time for big previews but I will try to put the essentials in. Utrecht - NEC One of the best home turf defenders of the league, FC Utrecht, take on relegation candidate NEC tonight. I am quite surprised to see that I can still almost double my money ( best odd 1,96 ) when I would pick a straight Utrecht win. Utrecht on a current 9th place with 21 points with almost all of those points earned in their own stadium. In fact they are the 2nd strongest team at home, after Ajax, with an undefeated record at home and 5 wins and 2 draws out of 7 games. NEC is in last place with 12 points and the league weakest defense with 39 goals conceded so far. Both NEC and Utrecht are amongst the weakest teams when it comes to playing outside of their own ground. Utrecht however seems to regain some composure by winning away against Heracles Almelo last week who are really tough to tackle in their own stadium so give them credit for that. But we are playing this game in Utrecht tonight so the advantage is obvious. Utrecht knows this is probably a great chance to earn a relatively easy 3 points as next week PSV come to visit in the Galgenwaard and it will be not so easy to gain something from that game. So the pick is obvious but what makes these odd so high. Utrecht have a number of injuries but none of them absolutely critical to influence this game much. Key players and Topscorers, De ridder and Toornstra ( star player and was selected for Dutch national team ) are not injured, only the loss of Mulenga is a bit of a downer as he is a plague to any weak defense but with the current squad they should be able to do the job. Toornstra has a history of scoring against weak defenses when Utrecht plays at home. He did so against Roda, Heerenveen and Breda and I think he should be able to make a goal against NEC but this obviously a risky bet. NEC are free of injuries. So what do I make out of the teams. NEC is a fighting side, regardless of their poor record and lack of football quality they have recently managed a draw against Twente away ( 2-2 ) and Heracles (1-1) but lost away to promoted side Cambuur and Go Ahead Eagles who are amongst the poorest teams in the league. NEC play with a good attitude and with a fighting spirit but I have a high opinion of the Utrecht team and they themselves always put up a great fight and game in their own stadium. I don´t see what can influence the outcome of this game other than simply bad luck but I think Utrecht have proven they have the quality to defeat the number last in the league in their own Stadium. Bets to consider: Utrecht to win - 1,96 @ Pinnacle Toornstra to score anytime - 3,2 @ Unibet
Pick won :cigar 2-0, Toornstra did not score but like I said in the preview that 2nd bet was risky.
  15. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14

I think Herenvenn-Feyenoord best game for goal! Finbogasson is back for Van Basten team! Pelle is on fire. defences are not solid for both sides! ov 2' date=5 7/10 Also Ajax should win vs Nac Breda,Ajax is playng better and better and they should not have problems to win vs Nac at Amsterdam Arena!HW 9/10(multibet) your ideas?
Well that is if Heerenveen delivers at all. I have seen them play against ADO on wednesday and that was an absolutely dreadful performance by them, Finnbogason displayed absolutely nothing. The Feynoord defense is in much better shape than it was at the start of the season so the stats might be a little deceiving. However in the Media today there were reports that our most talented and current Dutch national team defender, De Vrij, might not play as he was sick in training today. Nothing is confirmed however. BTTS is interesting but I doubt the odds offer much value as this is to be expected. The odds on 2.5 look decent but after seeing Heerenveen play on wednesday and Feyenoord demolish PSV on Sunday I do fancy the straight Feyenoord win. I will look into it in the weekend.

  17. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14 That was a terrible uninspiring performance from Heerenveen. If van Basten cannot motivate his team to win when there is a 4th place at stake then he lacks some essential coach´s quality. Heerenveen seem doomed to lose left right and center when they play away. They play like scared rabbits on unfamiliar ground, that game was a pain in the ass to watch. Somehow I keep believing in them but they can be a profitable bunch of scared rabbits when you lay them in away games. They have only won one away game so far I guess I should have believed in the stats and not in the players. Anyway on to the weekend there will be some good ones I will preview on friday or so.

  18. Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2013/14 Ado Den Haag - Heerenveen Midweek game in the Eredivisie tonight. Ado away is for any club in the Eredivisie traditionally a tough game. Ado have beaten title contenders Twente and Vitesse at home just a few weeks back and got demolished 0-4 by Ajax past weekend. I have to say I really do not like ADO's squad and there was a lot of luck involved in their wins over Vitesse and Twente. In both games they won although the opposing side had the better of the play and the chances. Heerenveen have always struggled in Den Haag but for the past years ADO had some reasonable players. They play a very opportunistic 4-3-3 formation with only one defensive midfielder against every side at home and against Vitesse and Twente who lack a really good target man this bluff worked out but I rate both wins as rather lucky. Against Ajax they were smashed as they play way to attacking for their own capabiliy. It's a bluff game they play and I do not think this will work against Heerenveen who have one of the best offenses in the league. The good news for the Frisians is that Finnbogason is back and this is what is will make this game interesting. Heerenveen struggles to get points away from home but funnily enough if they win they can get to the 4th place. I cannot imagine a bigger motivation for them. I think the edge is with the Frisians. Ado's squad consists of inexperienced young players with some own youth and players that were not good enough for any decent Eredivisie side. They have 2 talented attackers none the less, van Duinen and Gehrt who proved they can score against the likes of Vitesse and Twente but they will be missing target man Kramer as he suspended for this game. So what to make out of this one well Heerenveen play this typical offensive Dutch football style 4-3-3 as well and both teams have a really poor defense. So this style goes hand in hand with an open game for both sides and lots of chances. Considering for both teams the goalscorers are on the field tonight there is a good chance it will be a game with a lot of goals. I expect Heerenveen to have the edge though they simply have the better squad now that Finnbogason is back. It will not be an easy matter though Heerenveen haven't won in Den Haag since 2008. But with the motivation to get 4th place and ADO still in shambles after Ajax walked over them, I think this is an excellent chance for Heerenveen to grab some points. I think this is a very tough game to recommend anything so if you do not feel like taking a risk just let it pass there will be better chances in the weekend. The over 3.5,Heerenveen to win and Finnbogason to score at any time offers some value in this game but the over 3.5 is rather short priced. Personally I think Heerenveen to win is a good offer but with the opportunistic style of both teams it will really depend on who get's the crucial 1-0 in. Perhaps it is better to watch it and see if ADO are still shaking from the Ajax defeat or ready for revenge. If Heerenveen have the better of the play in the first 20 minutes I think they are definitely worth a pun. Finnbogason is the Eredivisie's most talented striker and top scorer and he will get his chances tomorrow against one of the poorest defenses in the league with a total 34 goals conceded in 14th games. Bets to consider: Over 3.5 goals @ 2.30 Pinnacle Heerenveen to win @ 2.36 Pinnacle Finnbogason to score at anytime @ 2.10 Unibet In-Play Heerenveen to win.
