Re: Manchester City v Chelsea > Sun 24th February from BBC Man City v Chelsea (1330 GMT) Jack Rodwell makes his first start since 1 September as Roberto Mancini looks to match up with Chelsea with a five-man midfield. He replaces Carlos Tevez, while Joe Hart and Gael Clichy come back in after being rested in the FA Cup. Sergio Aguero starts up top. There is no John Terry or Fernando Torres in the Chelsea team. David Luiz and Gary Cahill will line up in the centre of defence with Demba Ba the lone striker. Frank Lampard gets the chance to search for his 200th Chelsea goal.

Re: Manchester City v Chelsea > Sun 24th February
EH or AH?Chelsea are playing good football at the moment and have only lost 1 out of their last 10 games. The Citizens drew at home against Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton and in my opinion Chelsea are a better team at the moment than the said 3 sides that managed to take a point from Ittihad Stadium. The pressure will be on Man.City to get a result, and in that case I think that Chelsea will have a slight advantage and I can't see them losing this one. Chelsea +1 @ 1.83 William Hill -
Re: Delayed streams and betting in-play + court-siding. What do you do? @MPLoius I am not trying to beat the bookmakers inbuilt 10 second delay. No. I am trying to guage a sense of where the game is at. Forget bookmakers and the betfair delay. I am trying to know exactly where the game before i place my bets accordingly. more money gets matched in-play than pre-match. normally the difference is like 10million in-play and 2million prematch on decent markets (and i am not talking about Champions league either. Take any PL match, cricket, etc for example). I am sure these people are not all courtsiders. And not all are stupid either. I think some can be bookmakers but I believe they use streams which arent delayed by more than a second for example. We all know, big bookmakers and betfair has their own people in the ground. So they are fast. Surely a punter can use a combination of a "fast channel" + in-play fast bookmaker and know if the match is running normally and you are not betting just "after" the seconds a goal happens. I think by using a combination of these things we can get the right idea of where the game is at. I was hoping others use similar methods.

Re: BBOTD friday 22nd february 3:25 Sandown - Fago - Lay 4/11 - 1pt I have to go against others here and say fago is a great lay. Fago's jumping is still a big question mark especially after last time out and Sandown fences are going to be very testing. Both the other horses are LTO winners and too many question mark on fago for it to be this price.

I bet a lot on in-play during the game. Mostly on the exchanges. I watch the game on live streams. Though my internet is fibreoptics, I have noticed that the streams are delayed when though they dont seem to be lagging behind the TV. So basically, betfair market is already suspended BEFORE the scored goal is shown on the TV. I know people are "court-siding" and betting from stadiums, but I didnt think the difference was more than a second at most. Question - How do you guys who bet in-play keep up with the game? Where do you watch it? Any site you can refer me to which has really quick streams. I dont mind paying. Or is it that the TV channel as a whole lags behind betfair?

Re: Arsenal v Aston Villa > Sat 23rd February
At the moment' date=' Coral have the Villa win at 9.0 and DNB at 11.0 (clearly better value). Best odds on the win are Pinnacle with 11.8.[/quote'] more like a palp as the price is much less elsewhere. they will restrict accounts. tread carefully. -
Re: Liverpool v Zenit Saint-Petersburg > Thurs 21st February
brilliant callThis is Liverpool's corner record in home games this season: 10-1 Swansea 13-5 West Brom 10-4 Norwich 9-5 Sunderland 8-2 Fulham 7-2 Villa 10-4 Soton 14-5 Young Boys 10-5 Wigan 14-3 Newcastle 2-4 Swansea* 5-3 Anzhi 6-5 Reading 5-5 Stoke 6-6 Udinese 7-3 Man Utd 10-2 Arsenal 11-1 Hearts 4-4 Man City With Sturridge and Borini out, I think Liverpool will have more natural width. Chasing a 2 goal deficit, it is difficult to envisage Liverpool not being on the front foot for the vast majority of the game, with Zenit happy to sit and hit on the break. So I will play Liverpool to win the race to 7 corners with VC Bet @1.72. It is only 1.4 with Bet365. They have won this 13 or 20 games this season, and in their last 10 games. I rather this to a corner handicap as if they did manage to get in front, a late run of corners as Zenit poured forward could be a danger. 5.5 pts - Liverpool Race to 7 Corners @1.72 - VC Bet :hope -

Re: AC Milan V Barcelona > Wednesday 20th February
Are you serious. Didnt you watch tonight match or barca at HOME vs celtic!! Milan are the favs to qualify for me by a mile. They score one in nou camp and maybe two with this barca defense and they go through. mind u they dont have to score. only play the italian way by defending for their lives just like they showed today they can fairly easily do to block barca from having one shot on target, let alone 1 goal. It's not fixed :spank I swear Barcelona played that way before in a previous CL because they know its a two legged affair where they could easily score four ... -
Re: AC Milan V Barcelona > Wednesday 20th February If I didnt know any better i would think the match was fixed. I didnt care about the outcome much, but what the hell was barca doing. Not one shot on target for 100mins. Unbelievable.

Re: Galatasaray V Schalke > Wednesday 20th February anyone has any theories about the drift on galatasaray on the exchanges? general consensus here is galatasaray will win, and drogba and sjneider both start. So just thinking what could have caused the drift from 2.2 to 2.5? Really mind-boggling. at the current price, I have to agree. Schalke are a lay at 3.25

Re: Galatasaray V Schalke > Wednesday 20th February
The only ray of light for Shalke playing against Mainz' date=' lasf weekend seemed to be Bastos, bought from Lyon, now I am almost sure he wont play, since he has been registered the Lyon squad for Europe. Other than that yes Gala has class, but I am not sure turkish teams are a factor in the European competitions. Look at Fener, they had it tough with weak nowadays Bate, yes with a man down for more than 80 mins, but Bate lost their top scorer recently. Anyways my point is that this game has a great chance of being more even than we think. I dont think that Galata outmatch, Shalke in quality, even without some key figures in the squad. Because yes the turkish side has invested and bought players, but they look more like Malaga in their ways, than like Psg or some other team with money right now. This game is unpredictable to me so no bet. Good luck to everyone.[/quote'] bastos is club-tied and wont be playing in CL -
Re: AC Milan V Barcelona > Wednesday 20th February
games like celtic-barca are relevant since current AC Milan seems more like celtic than AC Milan of the past and may adopt a very similar approach since barca is going to have 80% of the possession anyway so AC Milan has got to do something like what celtic did. Barca may have lost league games but think past CL games results are more relevant. The point i was trying to make was 1.5 is not really a good bet and saw someone above make a huge wager on barca win.I seriously don't see any connection between tonight's game and Celtic-Barca. Barca also lost to Sociedad and drew at home against Malaga with a man more on the pitch, but does it really matter and have any significance to tonight's game?! Nevertheless, I am hesitant about the value part of your comment. Indeed, 1.5 away from home is very short. -
Re: Galatasaray V Schalke > Wednesday 20th February
Surely that record mainly exists because Turkish clubs have been predominantly behind German clubs' date=' and thus less fashionable a destination for works talent. It's only recent years where they've managed to attract higher profile players.[/quote'] I also think it will be a galatasaray victory mainly because of schalke's form more than galatasaray's strengths. But league form can go out the window in CL. Also, schalke need a respite from their league and may even welcome this tie away from their angry home crowds. Drogba didnt impress in the Africa Cup of NAtions and Sjnieder really struggled in Serie A. I watched galatasaray's match vs manu which they won 1:0 but it was against a weak manu side. So though I like other think it will be a galatasaray victory, I think draw plays a huge part in this tie. Still researching and may go with the draw if the price is right or if I find some tips/info regarding the match. -
Re: Galatasaray V Schalke > Wednesday 20th February This is Galatasaray's 12th home meeting with Bundesliga opposition and they are seeking just their third victory – having won none of their last five games against German clubs in Istanbul. Their overall home record against teams from Germany is W2 D7 L2. worrying.

Re: AC Milan V Barcelona > Wednesday 20th February but people are forgetting that this is the champions league. If celtic can beat barca so can a weak milan team. We have to ask ourselves if 1.53 really is value in an away knockout game (realistically milan is out if they dont at least draw). Barca do concede against even weaker teams as well. But I do admit, does seem like a walk in the park for barca as always.

Re: New Zealand vs England T20 Series & ODI Series
brilliant call kev. bet wonTop shout in the opening ODI, fezzik :ok 2nd ODI preview: 5pts Over 53.5 boundaries 5/6 William Hill With Napier being another ground in New Zealand that isn’t easy to defend I don’t want to get involved in the match betting but one bet I do like is for there to be more than 53.5 boundaries in this match. There were 55 boundaries in the first ODI which wasn’t as high scoring as some on this ground have been but this line has been covered in the last 8 completed 50 over ODI’s on this ground. In fact in that run there have been totals of 70, 75, 60 and 64 so the total hasn’t just been beaten it’s been smashed. I expect that to be no different here and I expect to see at least 54 boundaries. Delayed streams and betting in-play + court-siding. What do you do?

Re: Delayed streams and betting in-play + court-siding. What do you do? Primeaval, i read somewhere that people used to text/sms across countries in some games. Used to be much faster than any TV, radio commentary like you said. I guess these "big fish" would be making big money. But then i think maybe betfair has its own reporters on the phone as well who suspend markets asap. no?
