2018 Cheltenham Tipsters Competition
 
We shall be running a tipsters competition for the Cheltenham Festival starting on March 13th The winner and two runners up will receive cash prizes.
 Please find all the rules below. I will put up the selection threads each day and the table each evening. Anyone wanting to enter in advance due to lack of access let me know via PM. No need to register, just turn up on the day
 
Rules:
1 selection per race throughout the 4 days at Cheltenham Bets settled to £1 level stakes - WIN Only Bets settled at SP Highest accumulative total over 4 days wins £60 cash (via PayPal) Runner Up wins £25 and the third place wins £15, all prizes via your PayPal account. No edits allowed in selection posts No losses incurred for losers or Non Runners Replacement selections for NR's can be posted but must be before the first race deadline All Bets must be posted prior to the first race each day (no exceptions) Not compulsory to enter all 4 days (so if you miss the first day or two you can still take part) Leaderboard posted each evening All welcome

For those of you who don't venture out of the Poker Forum can I highlight a couple of our free to enter tipster competitions.
If you like footy why not try our Football Tipster Competition.
We have a new season starting next week, 10th March.  It's free to play, with added cash at the end of the season, basically pick a bet or combination each week and beat the other players in your league.
If you'd like to join in you need to show your interest here so the new leagues can be set up

The Festival starts on 13th March and you'll find all the information you need in the At The Races Forum . All racecards and form and betting information will also be on our Cheltenham dedicated site.

I've unpinned this thread to help hide my embarrassment at lack of updates during 2017 but I just haven't been around poker at all the last couple of years. 
I'm now back with a new pc (yeah I know it only took me 4 years to sort one out lol), so will start work on a 2018 Calendar of live events & associated online satelites. 
Should be finalised by December You think I joke!
Post up anything of interest to be shared with other members and I'll incorporate into the new thread.

Kindred Group, best known in poker circles for Unibet Poker, have announced that they will shortly begin the migration of Stan James players to Unibet accounts as the former brand's online presence is run off.
The group has announced it's intentions to concentrate on developing it's main Unibet poker brand, along with 32Red - a brand acquired earlier in the year running alongside it, at least for the time being.

Sats are pretty soft with deepish structures, but you'll need to be watching t.v. or doing paperwork to avoid boredom.
QF = 9/984 = 26,819 chips vs 10k avg
SF = 20/542 = 93,091 chips vs 50k avg
Final = 23/127 (29+1). Only realised tonight that they're re-entry, think the final had like 160 entries from the 127 uniques.

There's a 10x seat satellite for the Genting Poker Series main event (£440 buyin) in Edinburgh on PokerStars tomorrow evening, Sunday 17th Sept.
There is a 1xStarscoin buyin (& possibly rebuys), but effectively a freeroll.
Prizes are Seats Only, no expenses. You MUST be able to attend GPS Edinburgh in person, think it's on in a week/10 days time. NO cash alternative. NO transfers to other players. NO transfers to other GPS events. In addition I would add that anyone winning a seat SHOULD:

Online satellites for Genting GPS events are back for the first time since Genting closed their own online offering. Satellites for the GPS Mini (Luton) start on PokerStars on Sunday 2nd July.   Brings GPS back into line with GUKPT, 25/25, GrandPrix & UnibetUKTour with value/convenient routes in for all you grinders out there.   Good luck and don't forget to post your progress/successes in the forum!
