  1. Re: England: League Two Oct 25

Torquay vs AFC Wimbledon: BTS @ 1.57 - Skybet Over 2.5 @ 1.70 - 888Sport Torquay have lost 5-2 and 4-1 in their last two games. They have netted in every home game whilst both teams have scored in 6/7 of their games at Plainmoor. AFC Wimbledon have lost 3-1 and 5-2 in their last two games. They have found the net 5/6 times on the road with both teams scoring in their last six matches both home and away. Both Manager's have said they are have been working on their defence but I can't imagine them being able to make much of an impact in 2 days training.
    AFC Wimbledon - blacklisted!!

  3. Re: Npower Football League Championship & League One» Oct 18/19

At one stage they were reporting 9 corners in the 1st half and I thought the bet was up. When I checked back in the second expecting it to be over they were only showing 8. It's even sweeter when you think its gone and it comes in. :cigar
Exactly. I spoke to them at half time about that and they were sure there was nine. Absolute joke.

4pts - Leicester v Watford (Asian Corners) Under 11.5 @ 1.80 Bet365 In Leicester's 5 home games and Watford's 5 away games this season this line has only been covered once - 12 corners in Watford away to Coventry. Leicester Home Total - 10,9,9,7,9 Watford Away Total - 9,9,11,12,5 Leicester have only contributed more than 5 on one occasion with 7 of the 9 against Reading. Watford have only managed to get to 5 on two occasions away from home. Leicester home corners - 4,5,5,4,7 Watford Away corners - 3,2,5,5,2 Based on the stats this season I think this line is too high and will play the unders tonight.
Bet365 and BBC have made an error and there were actually 11. I listened to the game and also http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/match/2011/oct/19/leicestercity-v-watford. They are reviewing it but if they mark it as 12 definately argue with them. I'm quite sure they were only 11. EDIT: Here has 11 also but they disagree too ha! - http://soccernet.espn.go.com/gamecast?id=324389&cc=5739

Marseille v Arsenal - (Most Booking Points) Marseille @ 7/4 - Skybet This is more of an opinion then a bet backed up by stats. Damir Skomina will take charge of this match-up tonight and he will almost guarantee 2+ yellow cards. One thing he is not afraid of is making a big decision and flashing a red when it's needed. Now Marseille have had six yellows and two reds in the two games already played and won the bookings points in both games. Even domestically they pick up a lot of yellows and reds which suggests to me that they are a physical side. Arsenal, on the other hand, have only received three yellows in this competition and lost both booking points matches. I have Arsenal down as having quite a lot of the possession tonight and with the quickness of Walcott and Gervinho on the wings; it could result in trouble for the French.
Didn't gauge how stupid the Arsenal players were. Took me 5 minutes to know this Ref is a nutter with his cards yet you have Song, Santos etc all hacking away. Santos is such an accident waiting to happen.

+1. You beat me to it. Leicester play through the middle hence why the low corner counts. Even when they were losing to Bristol they didn't cover this line.

Peterborough v Cardiff - (Asian Total Corners) Over 11.5 @ 1.950 - Bet365 Corner Stats: Peterborough H: 10, 12, 16, 12, 12. Cardiff A: 16, 8, 15, 14, 12. The way these two teams go into a game will, for the majority of the time, produce a high corner count. Mark Little of Peterborough will bomb forward from his full back position to help out the winger in front of him...similarly to McNaughton of Cardiff who will do the same. Lee Tomlin also likes to drift out wide and make things happen. It's not a bet to go mad on but worth a bet with the attacking potential on both sides. Interesting stat; ''Cardiff have fired 82 shots on target in this Championship campaign; a total bettered only by Peterborough.''
    18. That was close ;) Should of taken note of my stat; raining goals at London Rd.

  10. Re: Italy - Serie B - 14-17 October

SAM [soundingstylish] have you finished your analises about corner market Serie B ??
I didn't look at the weekend games but got this one tonight: Brescia v Pescara - (Asian Total Corners) Over 9.5 @ 1.90 - Bet365 Brescia at home are currently averaging a total of 11 corners per game. They are winning 5.5, on average, themselves. Pescara average 12.8 corners in their away games - winning 6.2 themselves. Now I make this line one or two short and it's worth a decent sized bet.
  11. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 15-16 Oct Liverpool v Manchester United - Player To Be Carded: Lucas Leiva @ 2/1 - SkyBet Everyone is talking about backing Rooney to see a card tomorrow but I see better value in backing the much busier Lucas Leiva. He commits, on average, around two fouls per match and has seen a yellow in his last four matches in all competitions (& an International). He meets an old friend in Andre Marriner who has booked Lucas in the last three Liverpool games he took care of and will have to be extremely careful tomorrow to avoid a booking. 2/1 is backable, for me.

  12. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 14-16 October Brighton v Hull - Hull AH (+0.25) @ 2.05 - Victor Chandler Can't be having Brighton at just over evens here. It seems like the wheels are coming off at the Amex and they are starting to find it tough without the confidence carry over from last season's promotion. They've lost three out of their last four, drawing the remaining game, and meet a Hull side that are unbeaten in six & coming into a bit of form. The two wins Brighton did get at home were against Doncaster and Peterborough who are tipped to struggle at the business end of the season. I fancy Hull to get at the very least a point but a hard fought win shouldn't be out of their reach.

  13. Re: Sweden Lower Leagues 2011 Jonkoping v Assyriska - Jonkoping @ 11/10 - SkyBet The home side here have the advantage of playing on their pitch and looking at their respective home and away records then this price is far too short. However, Assyriska are missing a handful of important players for this game today. Samuelsson, de Souza and Laitinen Awrohum are all out injured whilst Rickard Jansson, Andi Toompuu and Mikael Thorstensson are all out with suspensions. Add Ishak, their top goalscorer, to the missing list as he is on international duty and you have a nice price on Jonkoping. One player missing for Jonkoping is their top goalscorer in Hrgota (also international duty) but they should be able to overcome a depleted Assyriska here.

  14. Re: Npower Football League Two Oct 8

Cheltenham v Dagenham & Redbridge - Cheltenham @ 11/8 - Victor Chandler Took this price last night but it has dropped slightly; value left in it though. Cheltenham, who I had down to struggle, have looked impressive this season and currently sit 11th in the table. The amount of chances they create for themselves at home is an extreme amount and if they are clinical this weekend they can put a few past Dagenham. I really don't rate the away side here and they come into this having lost their last three aways. My bet of the weekend, right here.
    2-1. :ok

  16. Re: Spain - La Liga - 20-22 September Malaga v Athletic Bilbao - Malaga HT/Malaga FT @ 2.50 - B365 Malaga come into this match full of confidence with two wins on the bounce and meet Marcelo Bielsa's side who are in poor form. The Bilbao side seem to be still adjusting to the Bielsa way of playing and Malaga can catch them out tonight. Bilbao lost 10 on the road last season; 7 of which were L/L double results. They lost to the top six teams away last season - all L/L's. I put Malaga in that quality category right now and the odds are juicy enough to have a play. Pellegrini may ring a few players but the quality on the bench is good enough to come in and do a job.

  17. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 27-28 August

Pompey have signed yet another striker - Hungarian U-21 international Marko Futacs. Don't know much about him other than he was quite sought after, is 6'5" and comes from Werder Bremen. Started his youth career at Ferencvarosi before joining Nancy in France. Have no idea if he'll play today....but this should give us options up top, and a bit more of a physical presence as our other strikers aren't very robust. Kanu being the tallest isn't known for his strength, so it'll be good to have someone who can potentially hold the ball up.
I'll give him time to prove me wrong but after watching him play for Ingolstadt and in the Toulon tournament; he isn't that good. He has potential but he drifts in and out of games too much. If I remember rightly - he doesn't use his height as much as he perhaps should do. We will see! At least we are signing players. :ok
  18. Re: England > Weekend > Premier League > 20-22 August

Wolves v Fulham - Goal Before 32:00 @ 1.83 - B365 2pts Just stumbled on a stat that looks solid enough to back this. Wolves at home are usually quick out of the blocks in terms of attacking play. In their last 10 home matches (from last season) this would have banked 9 times, some quite comfortably. Everyone knows that Wolves can be got at in the other direction so I feel this has some value but I'm not going crazy with it. Last two meetings: 23 April 2011 - Wolves 1-1 Fulham - First Goal 22' 20 Sept 2009 - Wolves 2-1 Fulham - First Goal 18'
Lost. Doyle rounded the keeper just before the half hour mark but could only sky it over the bar; then he nets on 42'. 10 minutes too late. :p

  20. Re: Scotland > Weekend > SPL > 20-21 August

Aberdeen v Inverness - (Asian Total Corners) Over 9.5 @ 1.80 - B365 3pts Early season basement battle at Pittodrie tomorrow when Aberdeen welcome Inverness. They have both won just one point in four games and defeat for either will result in a long season down at the wrong end of the table. Both teams will be well up for this and hopefully make a quick start out of the traps. The line set looks low to me. Stats: Aberdeen at home (total corners) - 19 v St Johnstone, 10 v Celtic. They win an average of 9.5 corners themselves, albeit only two games. Inverness away from home (total corners) - 11 v Motherwell, 14 v Dunfermline. They win an average of 6.5 corners themselves, albeit only two games. The very same fixture last season produced 12 corners in the first meeting and 11 in the second. Aberdeen won both games.
    6-6 = 12 :ok
