Re: The Crazy College Gamble
lol forgot that part! and people please stop telling me what I already know. It is obviously an incredibly risky venture. Anyways, here's the bet: First bet placed for tomorrow: Game: Notts County vs Macclesfield Pick: back Notts County (Draw no Bet) Odds: 1.17 (Paddy Power) Stake: 800$ Potential Profit: 136$Whats the bet ? Good luck with this ... however brave or stupid it may be :loon -
Re: The Crazy College Gamble
I am well aware. It is not the wisest choice. Many would even say 'this is whats wrong with Americans'. But i really do have a good job and could pay it off within a year... but I know it's crazy....hence the thread's title! you're only young once....Yes quite true... but some would say it's a little foolish maxing out credit cards to fund your betting. You say you have a decent job to pay back the money, but what you are forgetting is the interest. If this goes tits up, your going to be paying back $8,000 for a long long time! -
Re: The Crazy College Gamble
ahhh yes. but they say that 'fortune favors the brave'. hopefully that mantra will pay off....Goodluck man.. i would be on edge allll day betting $800 on 1 game mind :lol -
Re: The Crazy College Gamble thanks jazz. I appreciate the support :) First bet placed for tomorrow: Game: Notts County vs Macclesfield Odds: 1.17 (Paddy Power) Stake: 800$ Potential Profit: 136$

Hello all, I am a 24 year-old American college student studying abroad in northern Germany. Rather than return home in 2 months, I will take a big risk to pursue my dream of living in Europe... I will track my progress both here and on my blog at www.collegegamble.blogspot.com The Gamble As an adamant football (soccer) supporter, I have been betting on matches for several years. I recently developed an algorithm for choosing which teams to back. I am reasonably confident in its accuracy and will attempt to make enough profit every month to fund an independent lifestyle as I explore Europe (living out of hotel rooms). As of May 2010 my apartment lease in Germany will be up! In hopes of keeping my dream alive I recently made two investments: 1. 8,000$ bankroll (on credit) to bet over the next 2 months. 2. An 800$ return flight should I lose it all. I will either be successful in my pursuit or return home emptyhanded. THERE WILL BE THOSE WHO CALL THIS FOOLISH. BUT TO THEM I SAY... YOU ARE ONLY YOUNG ONCE! Bet Structure With a bankroll of 8,000$, I have deposited into several bookmakers. Some funds have been reserved if better odds are available through another bookmaker. Selections will be on either back or lay, and the odds will be on average around 1.15-1.20 I will bet 10% of the current bank on each selection.* *I changed the bet structure to 10% after the 3rd bet to make this easier to follow.

Re: 4 Systems are better than 1 ?? Unfortunate that your one loss was the greatest stake and the likeliest to win :\ but you broke even for the weekend and still have a very good Yield. keep it up :ok

Re: Home Form Counts! 19 bets/41% Yield
Ok thanks Pman. I just figured there were several other successful systems going right now so mine wouldn't get noticed til later. The odds I've been choosing so far were just the average of most online bookies. I'll make a new column in the table for next pick :tongue2 Thanks for the advice!Might it be an idea to quote which bookie(s) you get your prices from each time. The absence of this information might explain the lack of interest/contributors to the thread -
Re: Home Form Counts!
Thanks Grex, I see your 4-in-1 system is still performing well. I think it is the tables we are using that gives a little extra luck :D haha.....how about for every WIN I record in the table I'll buy you a pint?Great start' date= Ofcourseitwas (of course it was what ?).... long may it continue :ok By the way, I have a copyright on these tables.... the fee is a pint of beer every time you use it... so far, you owe me 11 pints ;) -

Re: Work this one out!! (Lunatism where are you?)
:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap yea, nothing this guy contributes has been helpful in clearing up anythingWhat is wrong wrong wrong is all this cryptic bs from a guy who flushed his own credibility down the toilet when you trap yourself in a lie about never being on ukbt forum. So please stick to your own advice; PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO OFFER ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE TO THE TOPIC -
hey all. I was just wondering what your take was on a home team's odds as they relate to the formation a manager haschosen/will choose. For instance, what would the highest odds be (1.70, 1.80, 2.00.....) for a home team (in 1x2 market), where you would relatively certain the manager is going with an attacking strategy (and not just sit back hoping for a draw)? .....by strategy I mean of course formation (4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-5-2-1, etc.) Look forward to hearing your thoughts! :cheers
