The Cilic bet above is indeed going to be my final bet of the season, so let's sum things up a bit. Well, it was a very strange season to say the least. Looking at my record, it was perhaps the most streaky of all seasons that I was involved with, I had a tremendously bad run around the French Open and then these last three weeks were also incredibly annoying. On the other hand, there were some great streaks in as well, most notably around the US Open. My biggest regret of the season was not backing Ricardas Berankis against Milos Raonic at a massive price in Basel - I really had a hunch there, but I chickened out with just the overs and was left in some bitter disappointment. The lessons to be learned is that we might be in for some turbulent times in that there will be no Big Four anymore and that things will become somewhat less predictable for the favourites, which should leave some space for value bets on underdogs. I see Raonic getting a Grand Slam win somewhere in the next two years, he's definitely made a lot of progress in 2016 - some mental stuff to fix, as he's still tight in the tough spots, but perhaps it's all about getting that one big breakthrough win and things will start to come together after then. Zverev and Thiem are set to make it big, but they might both still need a year or two.

On the women's side, I think that Angelique Kerber has what it takes to become a very dominant force in the next season or two, she's certainly the most complete player on the scene bar Serena. Not sure what's going to happen with Pliskova, as she's recently fired her coach for some reason and that might not go down too well, wouldn't be a shock to me to see her floating around the no. 20 spot after next year - she has the talent to win a couple of Grand Slams, but somehow I don't think that she's got the same hunger as some of the other competitors. There will be at least one surprising Grand Slam winner in 2017 on the women's side imo - Elina Svitolina is the most conservative guess, with the wilder ones including Naomi Osaka (yep, I do think that she could be the real deal) and Laura Siegemund (changed my mind about her, have to admit).

And, with that, I'd like to wish everyone an enjoyable December and let's hope that we're going to get some exciting tennis action in 2017!

Thanks for everything once again. Really appreciate it all. Wish you and other members here an early Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hope to see you all again in exciting 2017.

Waggy doesn't learn though. If I wasn't here, the only feedback would be your 'well done,' 'unlucky,' etc which isn't telling it like it is at all and certainly not helping things. Why not give some more honest feedback as to what goes on in Waggy's threads?

If Waggy actually places the bets listed here then they are splaffing thousands or even tens of thousands of pounds down the drain. I'm trying to give some advice to help turn that scenario around. None of what I'm saying is 'haha, you're useless, you failed again.' I'm saying 'why not try this instead' with my best suggestions to how it can be improved.

If you're putting your bets out there on a forum, then they're open to praise and criticism. It's ridiculous to think there can be one and not the other. If you think I'm at fault then surely you're more at fault for not offering any kind of balanced view and simply fawning over Waggy? I think you're doing far more damage than I am, but again that's just an opinion. The key point is, we are both entitled to an opinion.

Also, you claim that I've said enough and everyone has read my opinion enough. How can you not say the same about Waggy? I don't get that at all.

Myself and others have told waggy to be careful too and gave other advice and other ways he could have bet but just not in an impolite way and sometimes, we can talk in messages rather than making a fuss in the thread. Anyhow, in the end, it's up to waggy what he does. If he listens, he listens. If he doesn't, it's his choice, there's no point non-stop biting at him. It's his life, his thread and he is nowhere near throwing tens of thousands or whatever. Again, just stay out of the thread if you can't stand what he's doing. That's it now. I don't want to go on about this or ruin waggy's thread. It's pointless because you don't get it either when you're on about how waggy doesn't get it. Finished.

You'd done the hard work - not withstanding getting really lucky with West Ham the other night - and got back into profit and then for some reason go £300 a pop on a football team at 5/6 and a horse at 6/4. I seriously wonder what goes on in your head.

Yet another Waggy thread begging to be put out of its misery.

Seriously, will you ever stop? If you don't like what waggy is doing, then just stay out of looking at his threads. Do you have nothing better to do than biting at people all the time? You've said enough, everyone has read it all enough times too. Do you not get bored of writing it? You can have your own opinion but you're over the top about it all now. Just let waggy go and sort yourself out instead.

To cut a long story short, I blew big money on football today so in chasing the money I went big on over 34.5 games as needed money back quick, relief that I didn't choose Murray but Murray stormed the first set, I had already broken down to girlfriend thinking id blown a large amount of our money to buy a house . Its caused bog problems and she's making me block all gambling sites. As it turned out, the over 34.5 games bet which i staked a whopping 16 thousand on came in, I won all my money back, and maybe needn't have told her :( but I think that's it for me and gambling, I simply cannot help being reckless with it.

I know that it's your choice what to do but that was rather worrying. To be on the safe side, don't risk that again. You could have ended up with none of that money, lost the house and your girlfriend. Good luck in the future and wish you and your girlfriend lots of happiness. :)

Just had a further £300 on Dunstable @1/1 (missed this price earlier).   Heybridge will be without their goalkeeper who was sent off in the drawn game against Dunstable. Dunstable were 2-0 up in the same game so I reckon home advantage should give them the edge. Nail biting night ahead.:hope

Definitely nail biting! Congratulations on the win! :ok

Both bets lost. The 'BIG ONE' is now at an end. The loss on the thread was around £34 which is not terrible but I do realise that I need to be more disciplined. The Golf thread is successful at the moment and the 'new car'  thread is holding its own, so I will stick to those two for the time being.

Support! Carry on succeeding in your other threads!

Time to start making money again on this thread. Can't afford to make many more mistakes.

    You can do it! :hope:ok

£15 Manchester United v Leicester City exact score 2-2 @16/1

£66 Both Teams to score in the above match @10/11

I also have a feeling it will be 2-2 although I think that it might be safer to go over 2.5 instead of 3.5. Good luck. Really hope it goes through for you. Support.
