    Glory Hunters Forum RULES The purpose of this forum is to allow members to run Glory Hunts, there is no specific definition of what a Glory Hunt is, it is simply a betting system and how it works could be anything. The rules have been kept to an absolute minimum. In other Forums on Punters Lounge posters are required to give information such as reasoning behind a bet. Here you give as much or as little as you want as long as you stick to the rules.
    As you see, there is no specific requirements for a Glory Hunt; therefore, as long as you feel comfortable visitors of forum to see your tips, it belongs here; those who don't have interest will not read it, the others will keep an eye upon it, and that's all story...     In times of civil war in Yugoslavia, 1990 - 1995, inflation was so high that we all were millionaires, too; there were banknotes with ten zeros, and as it was too difficult to recognize them by number, we relied on colours of banknote; each half of year or so, Central bank would denominate the banknotes, i.e., only cut the zeros, but as inflation remained the same, new banknotes with more zeros would appear soon!... :loon

I liked the approach to this glory hunt and analysis of Aldric, so I put his numbers in simple Excel file, where you can play with odds, starting bank, stake, etc; file can be downloaded here: http://www.strugar.info/pl/bet.htm Spreadsheet has 4 sheets; the first one, "Without commision" gives exactly what Aldric posted before, but without commission; for each bank, you can change starting bank and odds - all in yellow cells. Second sheet, "With commission", is the same thing again, but includes commission; you can change the commission rate, too, in appropriate cell (yellow, again). With odds of 1.15, I noticed a slight difference to Aldric's pictures; for example, after 50 bets, his bank stands at 6.843.28 EUR, and my calculates 6.838.40 EUR, which us 4.88 EUR difference; maybe its caused by way of calculating the commission (rounding to two decimals after each bet, or cumulative calculating as I did), but nevermind, 5 EUR means nothing in comparison to nearly 7K. Third sheet, "Variable 1", is meant to be used when you have different odds in each bet, as it is usually, and as it was in this glory hunt; you can change the starting bank, and you enter the odds for each bet, one by one. In all of these three sheets, it's assumed that you go with bank all-in; if you don't want to stake entire profit, then use the last sheet, "Variable 2"; there you enter starting bank and odds for each bet, too, but you need to enter the stake, as percentage of current bank (i.e., if your bank is 20 EUR, and you want to stake 15 EUR, it's 75%, so enter 75 in appropriate cell), and outcome of the bet - W or L; if bet is void, just enter odds 1 and consider bet as won with zero profit. Those two last sheets are calculated without commission. In each sheet, you can change (and need to change) cells coloured in yellow; all the other cells are protected from being changed accidentally, but if you want to edit them, unlock the sheet: Tools - Protection - Unprotect Sheet; there's no password. I made this for a couple of hours, so if you think something can be improved, I can try...

    a lot of people who do accas pick the big 6 (manu,l pool, arsenal, chelsea, rangers, celtic), but they have only once this season all won on the same weekend. that was a couple of weeks ago, the last time was aug 2007 (or so i was told!):unsure Mick PS good luck in your quest
    Hm, I hear about this strategy for the first time, and at first glance I would tell that it wouldn't give high profit at all, from the pure statistical point of view - having four teams from the same league, and other two teams from another same league, it's quite low probable that all four main teams in the same league will win in the same round; but what I like in this idea is to take six teams from different leagues, and to do accu each week; for example, ManUtd, Barca, Roma, Bayern, Lyon and Porto; as soon as I have time, I will check their results this season, and maybe try this idea next season. Further improvement could be to alternate two or three big teams from each league; for example, between Real and Barca to evaluate which one has better chances to win, and to use that team in accu... Also, to use lower or less known leagues, or less than six bets in accu... Will think about this till next season...

    Which bookies have this bet?
    In local bookie shops in my country, each one, but literally each one, has this market for every game, and most of them also over/under 0.5 and over/under 2.5 in first half, as well as over/under 1.5 and 2.5 in second half only; out of online bookies, Expekt has it for games in main leagues, rarely for second and lower leagues, and leagues of small countries.     Marseille - Shaktar 1-2 :) What a night, all UEFA matches were overs...
    Not only that, but all four matches had over 1.5 in first half; combined odds were around 65/1 (2/1 in Kyev match and 9/5 in Marseille match!); I often bet over 1.5 in first half, for fun, and this missed opportunity makes me sick... :@

    That's beyond my understanding, too, but perhaps has to do something with the fact that at least two goals in all three other matches of UEFA cup were scored in first quarter of the match, UNLIKE the match you have chosen, still there is none... :\ Anyway, great progress, this one must come, too! :ok

    Re: Value Based Lay Glory Hunt Best of Luck, Ratmouth! :hope I like those picks; since I understood that very often my combos lost on matches where I backed the odds of about 1.40, I rather lay such a matches, when any evidence exists about weakness of favourite, and I'm sure that with careful selection you will easily reach 2% yield!

    I'd like it, too, mate, but... to be honest, I already put some money at Italy to win two days ago at 1.70, as I expect odds to drop today and tommorrow. In Lecce they obviously underestimated us, so tommorrow they'll be smarter. I also consider to put something on Iaquinta to score first goal...

    Re: Team to score in 90 minutes GlOrY HuNt by BCG So, good luck, mate! :hope With odds of 1.12, you would need about 35 bets to raise 20 EUR to 1000 EUR; with odds of 1.40, you would need only 12 bets to go over 1100 EUR. With careful selections and a bit of luck, you can get there in one or two weeks!

    Ok thx, yes i would be glad if you did...tell me is there somehow i can subscribe on your tips on here? Tell me is Frankfurt a selection of the day, or is it Wehen i got a little confused :/
    ...and another reply, I just have seen this; when he says "lay", he bets that team not to win; so, bet is Frankfurt to win or draw, just odds and profit are calculated in different way than usual...
