Sport Football (England - Prem) Event Wigan - Fulham Selection Wigan(+0.25) (Asian-handicap) Strength 10/10 Date 29/10/2011 Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 1.81 Reasoning Fulham is having a poor start of the season. The fact that they are also playing in Europa league is certainly having an effect on their league displays. Only 1 win in 9 rounds, and just 1 point in 4 road trips. They have 3 losses in a row, including a 1-0 loss at Krakow, and also got kicked out of the Carling Cup by Chelsea. They only scored 1 goal in 4 away games and they have plenty of reasons to worry about before this game. Wigan always is in a bad moment, but their recent display away at Newcastle was pretty good. 7 losses in a row in all competitions but it seems like it's time to stop that run. Fulham is certainly nothing special, and I see value on these odds on the hosts. -

Their defense isn't as good as in their road games as they need to attack more, score goals and usually they are the first to concede. This actually happened in 4 of their 5 league games, so if u consider Hoffenheim to score first it's a good bet. Last season Hoffenheim did just that in their trip at Schalke, but back than Magath was coach and Schalke wasn't as entertaining in their home games as now. The guests are having a good season. They won 2 games in the last 6 days, 1-0 at home over Monchengladbach and 2-1 in the cup over Koln. I certainly like the way they are playing football, they always try to score no matter if they play home or away. If they take the lead, given Schalke's current displays they will have plenty of chances to increase. So over 2.5 at odds over 2.00 is definetely worth taking. -

Sport Football (England - Prem) Event Chelsea - Arsenal Selection Over 2.5 goals Strength 10/10 Date 29/10/2011 Bookmaker/Price Pinnacle Sports @ 1.75 Reasoning Chelsea is playing nice football under Villas-Boas, they are creating more chances in past seasons, and their counter-attacks are really nice to watch. For this game they are missing Essien, Ramires and Drogba. Torres returns to the team while Terry might start. As for Arsenal is concerned, this season seems to be another failure as far as their title chances is concerned. Best thing they can do is try winning all the games and get a Champions League place. This means they need to win this game as well, and since Wenger always tries to win every game he plays, even did so at Old Trafford, we can expect an entertaining game. In the last 2 seasons Chelsea won this fixture both times 2-0. But now, something's different. Villas-Boas is much more offensive minded and his teams usually concede goals easier. Arsenal have also scored in every game this season, except the nil draw at Newcastle, so both to score here and over 2.5 goals shoud be taken into consideration. -

Sure, UTD lost 6-1 to City, but the red card did have a major influence on the final score, and we can certainly trust them to be the better side here. Evans is suspended, but otherwise Ferguson has the best possible line-up available for this game with Wayne Rooney in the first line-up. Everton has a couple of reasons to worry about. Phil Neville is sidelined, in-form winger Drenthe is suspended. At the same time Everton played 120 minutes in the Carling Cup in midweek and Cahill suffered a small injury there making him a doubt. At the same time Manchester UTD won easily against Aldershot in midweek, and they did so by also resting their star players. Also Everton already recorded 2 losses at home this season to QPR and Liverpool, conceding in all 4 games. Manchester will be eager to win this one and put behind the nightmare of the Manchester derby. -

Kevin Andersson was in great form before the 3rd round match against him but he simply didn't stand a chance against him as he lost in straight sets. Power hitting isn't really that effective against him, as he is extremelly solid from the baseline nowadays and Tsonga showed in his match-up against Verdasco he can produce quite a couple of unforced errors. Fish is playing on homesoil, he had excellent results in Montreal and Cincinatti prior to this tournament, beating the likes of Nadal while also getting a set out of Djokovic. Tsonga lost to Bogomolov for example, who played solid tennis from the baseline. I believe it's not right to place Tsonga slight favorite here, as Fish has what it takes to get past him. -

They are 2nd from bottom with just 13 points, and given the fact they usually have to make long trips in their away games while having nothing to lose they play open, score and concede many goals, like it has been the case in their last 3 road trips. 5-3 defeat at Asker, 2-2 draw at Ham-Kam and 4-3 win at Hodd. Bodo Glimt is a top team in Adeccoligaen, they are unbeaten at home, but have drawn 4 of the 10 games. Usually teams come to defend here, but Lov Ham is a different story. Last season Bodo Glimt won 3-0. Given the problems for the guests, u do feel they can easily score 2 goals here. While given the open style of Lov Ham in their recent outtings, they can also score. So over 3. -

Before US Open she lost at Stanford in the 1st round to Erakovic in 3 sets, while in Toronto she met Serena in the semi-finals, and despite a perfect tournament till than she bowed down in 2 sets. Serena is finally looking to be in top gear. She won at Toronto and Stanford beating top quality opponents with ease. Her serve is a monster, her baseline shots are like in the good old days. She dismantled Jovanovski and Krajicek in the first 2 rounds, only losing 3 games. Azarenka simply doesn't have the serve to match Serena here. Even at the top of her game she would have an impossible job of winning this match-up with Serena in current form. 2 sets win for the champ. -

A win here would secure their qualification to Euro 2012 and they most likely will get it. Striker Gomez is absent and his place will be taken by Klose. Austria have small chances for the 2nd place, but badly need the win here with Turkey due to win over Kazakhstan at home. They've lost the important games, 0-2(H) Belgium, 0-2(A) Turkey, 1-2(H) Germany and drew 4-4 (A) Belgium. The Austrians are an offensive minded team, which is becoming a rarity on national team level. They do not bunker and wait for set pieces or counters to decide the result of games. Germany is also a team which likes playing open football. They have another great generation of youngsters coming. So over 3 looks like a safe bet. -

With such a poor record they will be looking to score goals if they want the win here. Avai got a much important win at Figueirense 3-2 just 3 days ago. Striker William scored 2 goals, while ex-Schalke playmaker Lincoln got his name on the scoresheet as well. It was his debut for Avai as he was just recently bought from Palmeiras. It's rather rare for Avai not to concede at home, and Flamengo definetly has the quality up-front to ask the questions here. But given the fact that the guests malfunction in defense lately I'm willing to take the over 2.5 here. -

The game however was rather balanced with Viking dominating possesion and having most of the chances, but a goalkeeper mistake and the cool finishing from the Brann players allowed them to secure the win in the end. In the league game played at Viking however things stood totally different as Viking won 3-0 thanks to a hattrick from Saeternes. At the same time, last season Viking won 4-0 at home to Brann, so it's kind of a trend with them easily winning against Brann at home which explains why low odds of just 1.80 for them winning here. At the same time Brann is the most overish team on the road in Norway. They've played many high scoring games this season, like a 4-2 loss at Fredrikstad, 4-1 win at Lillestrom, 3-3 draw at Haugesund, 4-0 loss at Tromso, 5-3 win at Sarpsborg or the latest 3-2 win at Odd Grenland. So as u can see, goals have been flying in whenever they play on the road. So why not now as well? -

So far they conceded at least 4 goals in every game they played, but except for the 0-3 loss at Horsens have score in all the games as well including last wee's 4-2 loss at home to Kobenhavn. Nordsjaelland is a mid table team. They usually exploit poor defenses to the maximum and are able to score 3 goals here against Koge at the very least. At the same time the visitors here have proven that they can score no matter the opponent. So I expect an open games and goals flying in it. Going for a value bet again. -

Sport Football (England - Prem) Event WBA - Manchester UTD Selection Over 3.5 goals Strength 10/10 Date 14/08/2011 Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 3.00 Reasoning Since Roy Hodgson took over WBA at the start of this year the club rose from the relegation places and were quite comfortable in the season ending. They play much more offensive minded, just like at Fulham when they reached the Europa League Final. They didn't change the squad much this summer, a couple of bench players left, others came, most important being right winger Gera from Fulham and Shane Long from Reading. Manchester UTD had a busy summer as they played in a tour of USA. All of their games were highly entertaining and the new transfers seem to have made them even stronger. Ashley Young, Cleverly, Phil Jones and De Gea joined the club. In the Community Shield they defeated Manchester City after a very entertaining 3-2 win, coming from 2-0 behind after De Gea made a couple of mistakes, but Nani and Smalling covered for him. Hernandez misses out of United, WBA have a couple of doubtful players but should be fit in the end. We can always expect from United goals, while WBA under Roy Hodgson has been a really tough nut to crack at home and his tactics will make this game really interesting. I see goals here, and am taking the over 3.5. -

Their switch to Championship didn't really brought many changes to their style of play as they won 2-1 in the first round with Crystal Palace at home and 4-3 in the Carling Cup in midweek over Stevenage, 2-2 after normal time. Ball, Boyd, McCann or Tomlin got themselves on the scoresheet, so scoring isn't really a problem. Blackpool lost important midfielder Adam this summer after relegating. However they remain promotion contenders this year and the first round win 1-0 away at Hull City proves it. Most important, Ian Holloway remains manager and we have in this game a clash between 2 offensive minded coach. So simply put - Ian Holloway with Blackpool was one of the most overish teams last year in Premier League. Darren Ferguson with Peterborough was the most overish team in League One last season. This = goals. -

First of all this game takes place on neutral venue. Steaua lost its contract with the stadium in Bucharest "Ghencea" and have been homeless since the start of the season. The first game "home" game took place at Constanta and they won 4-0 against Dacia Mioveni. That result made everyone enthusiastic, but truth is Dacia Mioveni has 0 points after 3 rounds with no goals scored and are top relegation material. Their first game of the season ended in a poor 1-1 draw at Vointa Sibiu who are also newly promoted, also their pre-season friendlies showed a rather poor level for Steaua. This game takes place in Ploiesti, at the stadium of Astra. Steaua fans said they won't make the trip from Bucharest, but probably some fans will come as they are the most loved team in this country. U.Cluj is at its 2nd season now in the top division. A rather fresh face but with massive investments including a brand new stadium. They have a team capable of competing for the top places this season, a good coach, stability in terms of chairman and a good fans support. They defeated Rapid 2-0 in the last round, and the match was on neutral venue actually since their stadium isn't ready yet. They also won in the 1st round 1-0 away at Dacia Mioveni. So... simply put, odds are a joke, and odds of 6.44 do not reflect the reality. goodens = hovi -

European Finalists, Spain, meet South America winners Brazil in what is set to be a cracking game. And bookies got the odds wrong. Spain cruised in their group here with wins over Costa Rica 4-1, Australia 6-1 and Ecuador 2-0. Ecuador is a defensive minded team and they did struggle a bit. In the latter stages they met South Korea, and it was a disaster. Both teams simply waited for penalties, I simply didn't understand what the hell those players were doing on the pitch. It was a lively first 20 minutes with both teams missing glorious chances but after that both teams shut off completely like they were afraid of conceding a goal. Brazil here is the best attacking team at this tournament. They have an incredible midfield with players like Coutinho, Casimiro. They have no problems in breaking defenses, sometimes they miss too much but expect them to score here without problems against a Spain team which showed a lot of defensive problems. At the same time Brazil are not bullet proof in defense and once Spain will be losing this tie expect them to get out of their shell and goals flying in both teams net. Gent is the same offensive minded team as we all know. They inexplainably lost 1-0 at home to Cercle Brugge in a game fully dominated by them and with some incredible missings. Last season this fixture ended with a 4-1 win for Gent, and pretty much all games between these 2 sides are highly entertaining and high scoring. I see goals and over won. -

They were awfull for most of the game in Dortmund, they were down 3-0 after only 60 minutes and could have been even more but in the last quarter of the game they did show what they are capable up-front, got a well deserved goal and could have scored another one. Their defense was very poor and I don't expect them to keep a clean sheet here. Hertha Berlin kicked-off their return to Bundesliga in poor manner. They lost 1-0 at home to Nurnberg and will look for points here. Last season they were one class above all other teams in Bundesliga II and scored the most goals. They have great options up-front in players like Ramos, Raffael or Torun. They are very good on counters, and Hamburger will certainly give them spaces here. With the guests scoring this game will turn out really open and makes the over very likely. -

Since than not much has changed in these 2 sides. Alan Pardew is still managing Newcastle, he didn't lose important players while adding more quality in midfield with the signings of Cabaye or Obertan. Demba Ba also signed with Newcastle after West Ham relegated, and this team doesn't like will be in the relegation fight this season. Arsenal of course still has Wenger as manager, they've kept Van Persie, Nasri or Fabregas at the club, and the only really missing is that of Clichy sold to Manchester City. Pacey winger Gervinho is their most notable transfer and he will add to Arsenal's scoring record. This team is built on scoring goals and on road trips last season they were more succesful on the road because they found spaces more easily. They also met Newcastle in a League Cup game last season, and they won 4-0 here. Over 2.5 -

They are truely a nice team to watch when they are attacking and especially in the first half an hour are able to break any defense and score goals. The players have also been very efficient lately, scoring 5 goals at Gaz Metan and 2 in each game against Varazdin. Pandurii is a team which plays open football. Their coach is Petre Grigoras who is an adept of attacking football no matter where they play. He tries to get results by scoring goals, and its this mentality which makes me very confident in this bet here. They are also scoring goals lately, 2 in their latest win against Brasov at home but they created many chances in that game and will have opportunities to score here as well like they've don in the last couple of seasons. I trust the over here. -

This combination makes them a strong team with chances of winning the title here especially since they are on home soil. Their group stage presentated no difficulty as they smashed all 3 opponents, including a very impressive 4-1 victory over France. Costa Rica... are lucky to have made it so far because of the 3rd place rule which allowed them to earn a seat in these latter stages. They are really poor in defense, and by this I mean that even a really defensive minded team like Ecuador who usually don't bother of scoring more than once banged 3 in their net. A gap in class, an easy game for Colombia, can't see any other outcome really. -

Vitoria Guimaraes played in the Cup Final last year and despite losing it 6-2 to Porto they get the chance to win the Super Cup now. They weren't exactly very good defensively last season when they played away from their own stadium. Braga beat them twice 3-1, Benfica 3-0, Sporting lost 2-3 in a thriller game, and of the course the 6-2 loss to Porto. Of course they will start carefully, but like Porto showed in the Cup when they only needed 2 minutes to open the score, Vitoria Guimaraes won't last long here and will go forward themselves which will open up good opportunities for Porto. I see Porto scoring 3 goals here at the very least, and I'm counting on Guimaraes to score once as well. They certainly can. -

They lost 1-0 at home to Papa who are proving to be a strong team this year thanks to a solid defence. After followed 2 defeats on the road. The first one was expected, 1-0 loss at Gyor, but the latest 2-0 defeat at Siofok wasn't that expected. Main reason for it could be the fact that Ujpest had important missings in defense before that game and plaid with a more offensive formation. They are mainly a home team, away from home they don't score that much. I wouldn't take much notice of the 1-0 loss with Papa as they are an improving team. Their opponents today Paksi finished 2nd in the league last season and played open football on the road as they had a G.A. of 25-23 in the 15 games played, and their match at Ujpest finished in a 3-2 win for them. They played in the Europa League where they made a big surprise in winning 3-0 at Tromso from Norway, while lost recently to Hearts after the 4-1 defeat in Scotland. So this team is definitly not shy of attacking, and given Ujpest's defensive problems I see them scoring here. At the same time they aren't exactly as solid in defense as Papa and Ujpest should finally get on the scoreboard. So far in the league Paksi lost 4-0 on the road at Fehervar, won 3-2 at home with Kecskemeti and drew 1-1 with Papa. I see both teams scoring and over in. -
