Re: Nap of the Day Competition - Wednesday 9th July
Great bit of tipping, cheers!Kempton 7.20 - Brown Eyed Honey (1pts win, 17/2 BetVictor) Won on her only start here at Kempton and on the AW surface when returning this year in good fashion to take her overall career record to 2 wins from 4. Flopped lto at Salisbuty over 1m2 which could possibly have been too far she's never attempted that trip before so willing to forgive that run back at Kempton and down to 1 mile. -

Re: Rolling Back the Years Thread From 2002, when you were allowed to re-mount horses, at one point (6.05) there were "no horses left in the race", don't remember this though:

Re: BBOTD Thursday 24th April
:clap Some nice winners today, i managed to have a small double on Arizona John & Iseemist, otherwise been doing really badly recently..! :D Hopefully things will get back to how they used to be, with more regular decent priced winners..! Cheers guys!19.55 Brighton: Iseemist @ 6/1 Paddy Power I feel this filly will greatly benefit from a drop in trip. She clearly looked like a filly that doesn't get home over 7f in her last couple of starts, while running well nonetheless. Particularly impressive was her most recent effort in my mind. She had the widest draw to overcome, crossed over and disputed the lead early on, burning loads of energy in the first couple of furlongs, as the pace was really on too. She benefited from the pace in a way that she travelled strongly and looked to be in with every chance turning for home. However she hit a brick wall over 1f out. I feel back on turf, with ground she has shown form on in the past, over a shorter trip, she can win a race of her current mark. -
Re: BBOTD > Friday March 28th
Wetherby 3:20 The Tony Coyle yard is flying at the moment, they have had 3 winners from their last 6 runners and Trafords Hero looks a big price at 50/1 having his first run for the new yard tomorrow. He has also won with 2 of his last 4 runners at Wetherby and this is also his only runner of the day tomorrow. This lightly raced 6 year old gelding showed plenty of promise on his debut at Thurles in February last year when he finished 4th at 33/1 in a big field. He was pulled up at Towcester when last seen off a mark of 99 but he starts life for this yard off a mark of 95 and Coyle is very good at getting a debutant ready first time out. This is the first time the horse will run on good ground too so he could well improve on it and hopefully he will outrun his price tag. Trafords Hero WIN @ 50/1 Bet365Most bookies have only got SP up so far' date=' but there's a massive disparity. bet365 have this 'un at 50's, but sky bet have him at 25's!. Looks good, Aidy.[/quote'] Wow, went off as 9/2 fav! :eek Managed to place a small e/w bet @ 33/1 last nite.. Cheers Aidy! -
Re: BBOTD > Friday March 21st
Currently 700 on Betfair! :eek2.10 Newbury - Sleepy e/w 100/1 bet365 Give a chance to this after having two runs for Leech since leaving Nicky Henderson. Lto beaten a long way on hurdles debut but on heavy ground that day. Best run was 10L behind in a bumper on gd ground in a race that worked out really well so this good ground might be of benefit , progency of Sleeping Car do better on good ground. Leech only placed efforts been in chases here but worth a go at price Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk -
Re: BBOTD > Friday March 21st
Was around 16 earlier today on Betfair & has now gone down to 8's' date=' with a minute or so to go![/quote'] Didn't even get placed! :\ -
Re: BBOTD > Friday March 21st
Was around 16 earlier today on Betfair & has now gone down to 8's, with a minute or so to go!1:50 Sedgefield - Rozener - 1pt Win 33/1 Bet365 Bit of a chancer bet in all honesty as this horse hasn't shown a thing in last two runs but its debut behind a few horses, in which it was never dangerous has provided subsequent hurdles winners. The trainer has had two winners in the last few days who weren't expected to win and the horse could improve for the better ground. The race looks poor enough so not beyond all belief it could improve for an in form trainer. -
Re: BBOTD Friday 14th March
Cheers for the write-up, ended up doing a reverse forecast with Gold Madchen, wouldn't have if it wasn't for this post! :ok6.30 Wolverhampton A class 7 handicap for stayers says it all hard to be confident about any of these. Laylas Boy is 1 from 51 starts and that just about says it all he is incredibly lazy and moody and easy to swerve. Gold Madchen was a winner last time out which has to count for something in this field but never scored back to back and 2lb rise is nothing more than fair and probably best avoided at short prices. Beggers Belief is 1 from 1 around here over much shorter but has finished 4th over this trip at Kempton twice recently, more needed still though. Jewelled Dagger can go well fresh but record on the AW is appalling. Olivers Gold was last seen in August over hurdles beaten soundly having previously won twice, returns to the flat on a good mark at his best although yet to win on flat also has no record fresh. Again a Rod Millman horse looks worth a bet at the prices Ice Tres had shown a reasonable level of form when twice second over CD around the turn of the year. 2 lesser effort recently tamper some enthusiasm but small excuse of trip on both especially last time out when just fading out of it over 2f further, handicapper been very reasonable dropping him to a mark of 50 1lb below last neck 2nd over CD and drops into class 7 company for first time with Martin Lane back on board and a reasonable draw, just looks over priced again. 0.5pt e/w Ice Tres 12/1 VC -
Re: BBOTD Friday 14th March
Thanks very much' date=' yes Graham it could have swung the other way, but I personally think they got the call right, I'm not sure On His own would have passed him even if they ran straight.[/quote'] Maybe if Ruby Walsh was riding him! Hope he's ok btw! -
Re: Cheltenham Tipster Competition ~ FINAL Table
^ Couldn't have said it better myself! Was soo close, only 0.23p difference, well done Ted, aswell as Mowgli77 & Bartrum! :ok It's been a long weeks racing.. Trying to pick winners from big fields takes so much time & effort, i don't normally bother going through races with more than 12 runners... Think i'm gonna take a break from the horses for abit! Cheers guys! :)Thanks for all your hard work, time, effort, etc in running the comp BH :notworthy -
