    R4.35 Rememberance Day e/w 50/1 Skybet The breeding side can sometimes be overlooked from a betting prospective but there are some interesting stats here. The horse is by Major Cadeaux whose progeny have had just 5 runners over c&d which resulted in 2 winners at 5/2 and 50/1 resulting in a huge level stakes profit. The horse finished next to last on its debut run, but the sire has never produced a first time winner so that run can safelt be ignored. The key here is whether the trainer is giving the horse 3 quiet runs before a handicap, and the market will no doubt prove the answer to that question, but I'll take the price now in case the horse is trying and any money comes for it

    zebelini 2.30 ripon. debutant and so could be anything, and with not much market support, i guess isn't much fancied. however, in such a weakish looking race, and with the ground testing at ripon today, i feel this one could just like the conditions and surprise many. breeding suggests the ground shouldn't be a problem

    0.5 pts ew 40/1 betfair bog.

    :ok :clap Amazing!! Had a minimum stake at price of 100 for the win on Betfair & because of the evens fav being withdrawn last few secs as it didn't want to go in, price got reduced to 54.6..! Weird thing is that the withdrawn fav 'Grand Beauty' was still available to bet on & being bet in-play on Betfair..!? I should've layed it!!

    Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 25th August 2014 ^ All the main fancies withdrawn, one by one - Jakey, Echo Brava, Nave.. Which leaves Barwick, who has had close form with Nave & Echo Brava recently... According to Racing Post "Form figures of 13231 since stepping up to 1m4f; may have more to offer at the trip". Don't think this price will stay for too long. Main concern, though, is that it may come down to the expertise of these amatuer jockeys, who i don't really know much about - Mr R Birkett, Barwick's jockey did come a 1¾l 2nd in a race yesterday, so that seems like a plus!
