Paddy power recently get caught out offering odds on Johnny Moss for the Wsop. Main problem being that he had been dead for 8 years (funny in itself). They now have a market based around it. http://www.paddypower.com/bet?action=show_type_by_main_market&category=SPECIALS&ev_class_id=91&id=5967

Re: Suggestions for when to have the first game of the new poker league? The reality of the situation is that not everyone will agree on a set of dates and we will have to make do and mend. I do think saturday nights would be a problem for a few, as it is main going out on the lash night. I will fit in where i can. Gl Jez:rollin

Re: If you're playing now... All on this thread please. Out of the daily record freeroll when someone decided to call a massive all in re raise from myself. I have ak he has q10! 10 hits and goodbye for me. On the 1000 freeroll, I am 78th out 175 remaining which means i have a shot. Will not be playing the 8:30 as i have laddies raked freeroll at 8:45 and then the wsop final freeroll at paradise at 9.

My own complaint is that I don't want to be dealt ace queen again in the next tourney the sodding hand never wins but i can't bring myself to fold it.

Re: Ept - Ch 5 Yeah bad beat central tonight! I usually watch it cos some of the faces i have played with live. Including a lad i have played with for about a year called Julian "Yo-yo" Thew, who is going to be big IMO. Made two final tables on the EPT and is ranked in the top 10 in europe and is sponsored by william hill. I must admit it is a bit of an ambiton of mine to follow in his footsteps.

Re: Final stages of MTT's Hmmm depends on the blind structure. If the blinds are such that the avg stack is less than 8bb this is bound to happenn as any raise pot committs you. Therefore you might as well stick it all in, as it is the only play you have. However i find that alot of MTT's on laddies and bet365 go very passive and tight because the blinds don't hit that hard. So therefore everyone waits for the premium hands. This has been a part of my game i have improved recently, my results have improved as i have become a bit of a bully now at this stage. I would say on recent final tables i have won the most hands out of anyone on the table cos im constantly at it. Don't win all the time but consistently making final 3.

Re: Showdown %? I see about 20% of flops which is tight and i tend to then see about 50% of those flops to the river which is quite good i think.

Re: Showdown %? Mine is mid 60's in general, i play alot of limit poker so i would expect it to be higher in no limit. As you can chase draws in limit poker almost all the time.

Re: help/beginner I disagree with legend killer i think pot odds are important to a succesful poker player especially in cash games. There are plenty of thread on here about pot odds and to be honest they describe them better than i can, also there implied odds for the more advanced players.

Re: If you're playing now... All on this thread please. Out in 306th with pocket 10's. A min raise from early pos i re raise to 6bb. He calls flop comes k 6 4 rainbow. He checks, i go all in for about 1/2 the pot, he doesn't have the king i know that, he calls, turns over pocket 3's ha ha what an idiot. Or maybe not hits runner runner straight to sends me to the rail. Keep it going laidback.
