Re: Snooker: World Championships My gut tells me Mcmanus will win this still, I reckon he can claw it back and 13/8 is a nice enough price for me on that. First to 10 afterall.

Re: Snooker: World Championships
Dont really agree to that tbh. Stevens I think made 2 50+ and 2 100+ breaks, thats top scoring. Swails I thought started well then was a little below par after that. Having said that the 7/1 on Swail is a bit steep, hes not that far behind afterall, not that ill go for it.So basically both are playing average but Swail was particularly poor -
Re: Snooker: World Championships Imo it can be a bit of a minefield betting on highest break in a Williams match cos to me it seems like he cant be arsed bothering once he wins a frame mathematically. Still thats pretty sick considering Hamiltons only won 1 frame :wall What are people expecting the odds to be like on Murphy v Davis? I think a longshot bet on Davis could be in order but its obviously odds depending totally.

Re: favourite hole cards?
Thats my signature hand Valiant and I have a patent on it. Any winnings derives from it, im entitled 50% sorry ladies and gents its just the way it is. So yeah 66 (suits diamond and club are the best) and I also find J10clubs and 76spades rather sexxxuuaaal Just in general though any medium/small pocket pairs are my hands of choice.Pocket 6's are particularly nice to me too -
Re: Snooker: World Championships - Early thoughts.. Can anyone elighten me as to the form of Hendry (10/1) and Murphy (7/1)going into this tourny, cheers :ok Ive gota have a punt on Stevens at 16/1 after backing him the last 2 years, always seems to give you a run for your money.

Re: Thoughts about Multi-Tabling If youre a cash game player youre missing out if you only play 1 table at a time. 2 is an absolute must, you can TOTALLY keep track of everything with 2 at once if youre playing full ring TAG poker. 3 is ok too. Tournies are a bit different for me, I like to concentrate more in those as you have to be aware of the environment (blinds, your stack in relation to etc). Also a lot more move making where in tournies stealing blinds and bluffing a bit more come into play. I have never understood how some people can like 8 table STTs and stuff, its fcuking crazy :eek

Re: Playing small pocket pairs Pocket pairs are the holy grail in cash games. Great to call raises with due to the deep stacks, you can bust many a big pair holder for their whole stack for just 3 or 4 bb preflop. If you dont hit your set let it go, simple.

Re: Tikay Tourny in March on Sporting Im gonna play this despite last times awfulness of crashing/sit outs etc. Remember to get a refund if it does it! Have a good one and harpoon Tikay if you can!

Re: Playing an MTT when Short Stacked Just buy the book cheapskates! :lol I go by the rule that if I have less than 10bb left then im all in or fold, thats it.

Re: Help I always seem to Bubble In general you shoud be trying to steal lots of blinds and being aggressive around the bubble, its definitely +EV to do so, Guesswest has the right idea. It can depend tho, if everyone else is being mental then sit back and play a big hand and dotn bother getting involved. But if everybody tightens up which is what usually happens, then start-a-raising.

Re: Had a bad beat ? Come and have a moan here Jamie Cowell (mr_muse_man) Sean Murphy (colleger)
Hand comment: Mr muse man found a moster and raised 4 times the blinds. Colleger would had a nice, but terribly huge stack, found two ladies and decided to push it all in. Mr muse man called in a flash. But the flop came terribly for the muse man, when one of colleger's two outers hit the flop. the turn and river were blanks, and Mr muse man, was left with nothing but a bad beat to tell! Try that in a $30,000 pot in a tourny with $1.8mil prize pool :puke -
Re: Your poker History Gus Hansen and Dan Negreanu are my favourite players to watch. Got into poker after the Chris Moneymaker BOOM

Re: live or internet poker Its the availibility and choice isnt it. I think most poker pros will make most of their money from the net these days. Only your big names will profess that they dont. Live tournies are fun for a change but goddamn live cash games I just find a bit dull really. Half the speed of the net plus obviously only 1 game at a time, so your actually seeing about 1/4 of the hands you see online if you play 2 tables at once. 1/4 of hands means 1/4 the profit and obviously even less if you 3 table or heaven forbid more :lol

Re: What's your favourite site? Part 2 Booooooo I like Crypto! Ladbrokes from that lot though

Re: WSOP main event
Yes indeed he was! Anyone betting on him needs their head examining. I was not happy with THE_POWER being 100/1 on the laddies coupon and mr_muse_man 250/1 :spank :lol Yep i agree those royal flush odds are bloody stupid, god ive never seen a worse value bet than that!wasn't he first out in the Ladbrokes Cruise this year? -
Re: Online Poker is Fixed!!!!!! I seen Sklansky get pocket aces 6 times on 1 final table before on tele. It happens, just not very often!

STT Advice
in Poker
Re: STT Advice
This advice is sound, 50 buy ins is the way to go if your looking to take it seriously imo. Bare minimum of 20 buy ins but if you want to ensure of not going broke 50 is more sound. Also 'you will experience a 5 game losing streak at some point' - that is the LEAST you can expect to suffer, thatll happen fairly regularly I would have thought. You can easily go into double figures without making the top 3 in an STT if you play them loads. Outdraw after outdraw, bubble after bubble. You can certainly go so so many without actually winning one.I would advise having at least 50 buy-ins for any level. 10 buy-ins is not enough IMHO, you lose 5 games on the trot and half your BR is gone, and you will experience at least a 5 game losing streak at some point -
Re: PNL MTT with WPT Reno Package added Only on StanJames Pro. Youd have to wear StanJames clobber and all that if you got to the WPT :lol
-
Re: PNL MTT with WPT Reno Package added Wow thats outstanding (providing they keep the $$$ in the prize pool, im sure they will). You have to win to get the xtra value of course but thats an outstanding bonus.

Re: Any questions for Dave Devilfish Ulliot? Hes a bit of a tosser actually, really full of himself although hes quite entertaining. Sings and plays at the bar etc. The camera crew was following him EVERYWHERE on the laddies cruise it totally took the piss. Once I was sitting outside the poker room and he came out (with camera crew in tow), where was he going? The toilet. Ridiculous. (its also fact he takes a different 'lady' to each event he goes to and hes got a wife. Scandal!)

That really is awesome :lol Never knew about that before. Interesting to see if Hendrys got the goods to comeback today...
