  1. Re: Sir George Info

The trip will be 6f, he is better on faster ground so can only hope. Was fancied very strongly first time out because it was widely known that chapple-hyam thinks alot of him but couldn't pick up. Peter told me himself he thinks sir george is better than declaration of war so can only take his word for it. I don't know why the entry isn't showing on rp yet but as i say, was only told about this yesterday.
Many thanks for getting back to me on this, but i think will run well with cut in the ground, the second last time out was not that bad on soft ground, and Yarmouth is a stiff track and the 6f takes some getting, so i will look out for it Thanks - Wups
  2. Re: Sir George Info

Hello all, i've been lurking for a while and took so many winners from the inside info thread (cheers guys :beer ) Think it's only right i pass some on. I am a part owner of the chapple-hyam trained sir george. Spoke to Peter yesterday and he has entered this for the 2:00 at newmarket on July 12th (not even showing on rpost yet). Peter says this has outstanding place claims and could possibly win, hoping for an opening price of around 10/1. Oh and btw authorized on saturday is by no means a cert, they are not brimming with confidence this time. They think he will win but the price is just too short with the worry being NOTNOWCATO.
I wil be taking this on board, i have taken a look at the first run when second to Jebel Tara back in June on soft ground when a beaten 6/4Fav can u notify me what trip it is going over please, as it is only listed to run at Redcar in a Listed event in October this year (Two Year Old Trophy), so is this just a extra race that has not been declared yet ? Re: Daily NAPS ~ 04/07/07 KEMPTON 4TH JULY 2007 6.20pm INDEPENDENCE NIGHT HANDICAP (CLASS 5) Dick Ivory's nine year old Fromsong has been showing enough on the turf this year to suggest a return to the Awt is going to be beneficial, again this another horse that has not won since 2005 and was rated as high as 97 when winning on the Awt ,the run at Windsor when finishing second to Efistorm over an extended 5f on good to firm ground and only went down by half a length, also ran a good fourth to the same horse at Sandown off a mark of 78 on good to soft ground, and eventually finished two and a quarter lengths behind, is coming here off a mark of 88 and is a respectable mark to win off this afternoon has a big chance with inform Jim Crowley and should be there at the business end. 4. Well managed a 66.66% strike rate yesterday with a 15/8 & 7/4 winners but Compton Classic was a disappointment finishing second last, so to the selections for Wednesday below... CATTERICK 4TH JULY 2007 14.05pm WE RACE AGAIN NEXT WEDNESDAY MEDIAN AUCTION MAIDEN STAKES North Yorkshire based Tim Easterby saddles Onatopp here, who actually has been running below par this season and should of won by now, was last seen when finishing a disappointing seventh to Satyricon over 7f at Redcar on good to frim ground, and was never nearer in the race, but if we take a trip back to October of last year when the selection was beaten by a neck over course and distance on soft ground, now is 15lb higher for that run, but is a horse that can progress and goes much better with some nice cut in the ground, and should beat these moderate platers. KEMPTON 4TH JULY 2007 6.20pm INDEPENDENCE NIGHT HANDICAP (CLASS 5) Dick Ivory's nine year old Fromsong has been showing enough on the turf this year to suggest a return to the Awt is going to be beneficial, again this another horse that has not won since 2005 and was rated as high as 97 when winning on the Awt ,the run at Windsor when finishing second to Efistorm over an extended 5f on good to firm ground and only went down by half a length, also ran a good fourth to the same horse at Sandown off a mark of 78 on good to soft ground, and eventually finished two and a quarter lengths behind, is coming here off a mark of 88 and is a respectable mark to win off this afternoon has a big chance with inform Jim Crowley and should be there at the business end. Good Luck this afternoon Wups

Well not the greatest of starts to say the least, three placed, hope for better luck this afternoon. BRIGHTON 3RD JULY 2007 TRENTON FIRE CLAIMING STAKES (CLASS 6) - 14.30pm - :nana 15/8 :nana M.J trains out of Newmarket and saddles Artdeal here, was last seen when winning at Beverley over 5f on good / firm ground when beating Alexander Monarchy by two lengths and had My Shiela's Dream back in fifth by a further 14L and holds that form easily this afternoon, the slight concern today is the ground, as has only won on good to firm ground, and with all the rain over the last week there is a doubt, but comes here off an opening rating of 75, so is well respected as a 2 yr old by the handicapper and should take all the beating this afternoon under young William Buick who claims a handy 5lb. HAMILTON 3RD JULY 2007 DAILY RECORD CLAIMING STAKES (CLASS 6) - 14.15pm - :nana 7/4 :nana Dandy Nicholls has a good strike rate with his older yardsticks, and saddles Kenmore here who is actually trying to re-kindle some kind of form,as has not won since way back in 2005 when winning a contest over 7f on good to soft ground and had a good rating of 87 them days, has lost his way over the last two years and found things tough off ratings of 88, but has been spiralling over the last 12 months and actually gets in here of a very good mark of 80, Patrick McDonald takes the ride this afternoon and has been making a good name for himself on the level this season, and claims a handy 5lb DAILY RECORD HANDICAP (CLASS 5) - 16.15pm Jim Goldie's last winner was Compton Classic when he won over at Musselburgh back end of June when beating Divine Spirit by one and three quarter lengths over 5f on good ground, and had Rothesay Dancer back in third that day and he has run on to a good second recently, has also finished second over course and distance when going down by a length to Elkhorn five days ago and only went down by a length, is dropping down a massive 12lb in the handicap this afternoon and in class and should on the ratings take this easy, the stats are there, will go on the ground big drop in the Hcp and a claimer on board amatch made in heaven..NAP OF THE DAY. Good luck to all on your selections Wups

  6. Re: For the first time in my life Well for me i got thrown into racing from my aunt ( Jenny Pitman ), at the right old age of 15, i use to muck out the stable 's and picked up good insights in to racing from the duchess of racing. As on the gambling insight, i got lucky on my first ever bet, winning Lucky 15 returning £697.00, the funny side of this i layed out £8.25 (Tax was around) and when i went to collect the guy behind the counter said i had a good win when i asked he replied 697, i thought i had lost money as i thought the return was £6.97, silly me :rollin But my stats come from my own knowledge, with a little help of the Racing Post and Sportinglife. As a race horse owner the buzz is always there, over the years i have been grateful to be involved in some nice horse's over the last 15 years, and have taken on board everything i have learnt and got from other people on forums like these. Racing is a hard game, and there is not such a thing as a certainty, i think we have all established this..but there are winners out there to be found if you look closely and feel confident enough to put them into action Wups

  9. Re: Writeups Daily Selections - Monday

Excellent write ups mate. I wish you luck with these. However, you shouldnt edit your posts with the results - in case you change the selections. Instead just quote your selections and then either do the results inside or outside the quote. :ok :ok
I would never edit my selections, that is unprofessional, what ever i put up will stay up Wups P.S. But thanks for the tip
  10. Re: Monday NAP'S Betting Tips Are Free At punterslounge.com Handicap (Class 5) (3YO only) Mark Johnston has to be feared when sending one here on the All Weather, My Secrets has not shown much since diverting to the turf, we have to go back to November last year when beating Mastership by a neck over an extended mile in a Nursery at Wolverhampton, ran one creditable race on the turf when finishing second to Sonara, going down by extended mile and a half. and had the very useful Moonwalking back in third by 5L,is dropping back down the handicap by 4lb this after noon and is only a 1lb worse off for that win here, has to compete with the like's of Abounding and Bachnagairn this afternoon, but looks well handicapped on the All Weather this afternoon and i have no doubt a big run in prospect This would be the Nap of the Day for Me

  11. Well i would like to introduce myself to the Forum, i will be putting up daily selections every day on a regular basis i do own my own website but i am not here to spam for business,i just want to share my selections with the guys on here, all banter is welcome,as is suggestions against the picks. WOLVERHAMPTON 2ND JULY 2007 Worldwide Sports Betting Knowledge punterslounge.com Hcp (Class 6) - Unplaced Chris Wall's Call Me Rosy as a chance going two better when finishing behind the likes of Dramatic and Drifting Gold over course and distance back in June, and even though finished behind two superior animals in the race going down by 8L over such a short distance looks a worry, but is very well handicapped at present and gets the services of George Baker, who like jamie Spencer is a hold up specialist in these type of events, has gone up 4lb in the Hcp, but was rated 6lb higher last year,so is still progressing and should come on for that third and be in the mix this afternoon. Betting Tips Are Free At punterslounge.com Handicap (Class 5) (3YO only) 3rd 11/2 Mark Johnston has to be feared when sending one here on the All Weather, My Secrets has not shown much since diverting to the turf, we have to go back to November last year when beating Mastership by a neck over an extended mile in a Nursery at Wolverhampton, ran one creditable race on the turf when finishing second to Sonara, going down by extended mile and a half. and had the very useful Moonwalking back in third by 5L,is dropping back down the handicap by 4lb this after noon and is only a 1lb worse off for that win here, has to compete with the like's of Abounding and Bachnagairn this afternoon, but looks well handicapped on the All Weather this afternoon and i have no doubt a big run in prospect. PONTEFRACT 2ND JULY 2007 Spindrifter Conditions Stakes (Class 3) (2YO only) - 3rd 3/1 Kevin Ryan's two year olds have gone off the boil slightly recently but wih the ground coming up soft Golan Knight has a big chance to progress upwards this afternoon, was last seen when finishing tenth to Maze in the Chesham Stakes at the Royal meeting over 7f on good ground, is dropping down in trip and class this afternoon, and the debut run on soft ground suggest that the 6f this afternoon is going to suit, the jockey and trainer do not have the most dynamic stats but the horse does go well on the surface and should be there at the business end. E.B.F. Park Suite Fillies' Handicap (Class 3) (3YO plus) - 4th 6/1 She's Minnie finished behind Keyaki when they met at Folkestone beginning of last month when going down by two and a half lengths over 6f on good ground, and this smaller field should suit, was in the mix of things that day when just losing second upwards to the line, she also finished infront of Misphire at Ayr back in May on good to soft ground and was just four lengths in front that day off the same mark and level weights,Misphire has to take a 3lb rise in the handicap as the selection is getting here without a penalty and gets a 3lb pull this afternoon, the ground is the key here and the softer ground looks to be a big advantage for the selection and under Kevin Darley should provide a bold bid, but each way is advised. Best UK Racecourses On Turftv Handicap (Class 6) (3YO only) -2nd 9/2 Richard Fahey's Sadler's Kingdom was beaten last time out when finishing fourth to Secret Tune at Musselburgh over a mile and a half on good ground, going down by just over three lengths, Aureate was in third that day by two and a half lengths and he has gone on to win at the weekend My Secrets was back a further five lengths and runs at Wolverhampton this afternoon prior to that won at Beverley over an extended mile and a half when beating Potentiale by one and a half lengths, and had Mr Crystal and Bollin Felix behind by two lengths and four lengths respectively, was giving a 1lb to Bollin Felix and 6lb to Mr Crystal,is getting 3lb from Bollin Felix and is giving 5lb away to Mr Crystal and that form looks solid,is only 3lb higher in the handicap for that win and deserves to be in the shake up this afternoon. Wragby Handicap (Class 5) (3YO plus) J.J.Quinn's three year old Centenary has been out of form over the recent months and has not been placed since winning at Newcastle on good ground, beat Macaroni Gin by one length over a mile in a Class 5 maiden, since coming into handicap company has not shown much potential but most of the runs have been against him due to the going, softish ground might actually see him run a bold race this afternoon, is dropping down by 8lb in in the handicap and could be on a winning mark this afternoon, the booking of Graham Gibbons could be significant and at a double figure price a play each way is advised. Well good luck on all of your selections. WUp's
