  1. I would like to put this name forward to watch in the future, rode Scotty.s Future last night to get up by a length and a half, and with only twelve rides to his name he is off the mark..This young man is a personal friend of my younger brother, and has been riding out for 3 years, and now is diverting this to the turf, he is a good prospect in the making, no champ, but most definelty could pick up and be there with the likes of William Buick and Willie Carson for the amatuer championship next year. Wups Additional Info = The horse he rode last night was matched on Betfair at 999/1 for £27 in running at the three furlong pole, he rode this with so much confidence and i will stake my rep on this that he will be a prospect for the future..

  2. Re: E/w Fancies ~ 07-07-07 For me Archipenko would be the e/w selection, but also watch out for one at Beverley in BO MCGINTY, has been running below par on the last two runs, but is much better than the handicapper is suggesting and could feature at a respectable price, but to win the race i have opted for Prince Namid

  3. Re: Sandown 07/07/07

Horse Name: Balkan Knight Racecourse: Sandown Time: 4.20 As a big a fan of the Godolphin camp Im still not convinced they are firing on all cylinders yet(bit like my tips recently:sad) and the recent weather isnt helping matters, I think they need to grounds to start drying out a bit before I put up 4 selections from the boys in blue and the Geezer has to prove he can stay this trip at these odds. Balkan Knight mugged Alfie Flits on the line LTO back over 14f at Musselburgh on good ground, dropping down 2lb in the ratings hes never going to win by a mile but could well grind down the Godolphin horse and clearly this is where the value lies.
I pondered over this race for nearly an hour last night, i kept coming to David Elsworths horse, but i had to leave it as a case can be made for the fav aswell with being by Halling and will love the conditions, but again i have the dilemma of John Egan riding this, not great stats for the trainer and needs to dictate from a furlong out to win this, if held up to long will find it hard to pull back The Geezer and Finalmente, but its possible as he has finished second over course and distance, so there is a lot in his favour, and he has had over a month to recover, but and i seem to have a lot of buts here, i just feel Finalmente looks the unexposed in the race. But GL all the same, just a analysis Wups
  4. Re: Beverley 07/07/07 i am not putting a downer on Augustine, but i feel a return to the AWT is very much on the cards for this, even though will like the conditions today, i find this a horse that finds absolutely nothing when headed..shame really as showed promise on the AWT and has not diverted it to turf yet.but is stepping back in trip this afternoon..but looking at the horse stats closely a sharp 7f to a mile looks good prospects for this horse. GL though Wups

  5. Re: Coral-Eclipse 2007

Im on Archipenko EW' date=' will to forgive the last effort, his price will be much shorter tommorrow, might have another EW on Admiralofthefleet too.[/quote'] With Aiden 0'Brien having 50% of the field, it might be worth playing two of his outsiders each way, Yellowstone and Archipenko For me Archipenko is a good play each way @ 20's, even though finished last in the derby and has a bit to find with Admiralofthefleet and Yellowstone i just think on the going could actually figure for a place. GL Wups
  6. Re: Saturday Naps Well the naps seem to be around Authorized and Notnowcato, on paper the stats are there to say you guys are probably right, but my nap i am playing away from the sandown card.. Hall Building Services Handicap (Class 4) (3YO only) - 15.55PM North Yorkshire based Richard Fahey has been quiet of late, but could get back into the winning enclosure with his three year old in Handsome Falcon, was last seen when finishing fourth to Apache Dawn at Newcastle over 7f and was staying on really well despite losing by fourteen and a half lengths, the second runs in a class 3 event at Sandown this afternoon in Chjimes.now being by Kyllachy there should be no problem with the heavy conditions but this horse has not won a race since on his debut when winning over 5f on good to firm ground at Beverley, and has downward spiralled since, but the last two runs off marks of 74 have suggested a bit of return to form and gets in here off the same mark this afternoon.

  7. Re: 6/07 Wimbledon

Well tonights card looks hard, but i think two dogs are worth backing on the card.. 19.45pm - Fayeshannah - 3rd 21.45pm - Droopy's Goodenuf - 3rd Both dogs are open to improvement, and Fayeshannah for me in the 7.45 makes most appeal, can lead, but has good back straight pace and should hold approaching the second last and power off the last bend to win. Have a good night Wups

  9. Re: Fridays NAPS ~ 06/07/07

Harland 3.50 Sandown (WIN NAP) Harland is lightly raced, really well thought of by connections and the one most likely to have improvement needed to win at this level. Needs that improvement as the form is way short of being good enough to win this with a maiden win from 3 runs and a poor 8th last time out in a Group 2 race. Had a Derby entry and has a further Group 2 entry in the future. Has run on good to soft so far and 10f should suit, faded last time out over 1m4f.
:notworthy:notworthy:notworthy Nice one, 5 winning Naps already - bashing the bookies here today..well done Wups

Scintillo -1st :nana Nice call Wups :clap :ok :clap
Well it is nice to get in the winning enclosure, after an appalling day yesterday but this thread is firing today, with Cosmic Art / Scintillo and of course the best nap of the day in Cashel Mead at 10/1 Well Done Guys Wups
  12. Re: Fridays NAPS ~ 06/07/07 SANDOWN 6TH JULY 2007 CUSHMAN & WAKEFIELD EBF MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 4) 7f 16y 3:15PM Richard Hannon's 2 year olds have been in tip top form over the last 12 months, and this year has had many winners, today sends out a fantastic light colt in Scintillo, who finished seventh in the Cresham Stakes at Ascot and showed good promise in the race that a maiden was with in his grasp before long.looking closely at the race there is nothing special that stands out apart from Marcus Tregoning's Tayarat who showed a little promise on his debut, but not enough to suggest to come here today and beat the selection.

  13. Re: Yarmouth ~ Thursday 5th July

Sorry guys' date=' just seen the result:eyes , didn't even place. i will be more carefull about forwarding information for my firned in the future.[/quote'] never apologise for giving the info out Mr Bubbles, its not your fault the horse did not run up to promise or that the info recieved was not good enough, i am sure all that matters is you made the time to post it,it lost ,thats the way it goes, i am sure you will be back with good info in the future Wups
  14. Re: Deuville ( France )

Well i do not really get involved with racing out side the British Isle's, but after speaking with some interesting investors over the last couple of days, they have told me to play a horse that is running in france this afternoon. Now as i usually only play my own selections as then i can be blamed for the selections personally being beaten, but these investors are shrewd guys and do not usually give information out..so i will pass the info on and have a small play as a interest, and i will let you guys assess it as you please. 16.05 Deuville - Stormy Heart. Finished a good third to a respected four year old from the R Laplanche yard in Munostal and only went down by a quarter of a length over a mile on soft ground at Saint-Cloud, Had Almendra beaten back in fourth and even though is giving weight away looks very unexposed and open to improvement, gets the services of C.P Lemaire, and being by Swain the conditions should suit. Well all i can say is if you want have a punt do so, but i will be playing at odds of 5/1 approx, but not for huge stakes, just as a interest of the source Wups
Well burnt fingers here, a lesson to be learnt here, never take a tip from a frenchman :rollinnever picked up in the race and to be honest never figured, only lost £2.00 so no hardship caused, but still disappointing neverless, especially with such a nice pedigree.
  15. Re: Yarmouth ~ Thursday 5th July

Well to be honest i think the Yarmouth Card is very below par this afternoon. but this is all on offer for the punters i would say keep the money in your pockets for tonight.. I will not be playing this afternoon, all my selections come tonight, but if was backing any horse's at Yarmouth i wanted to play it would have to be the Luca Cumani trained "WHAT A REASON" has been crying out for this softer surface, and the last run when finishing sixth i think can be disregarded,he gets his stable jockey Nicky Mackey in the plate and he does have a slim chance of upsetting the big guns in the race. The horse is 4lb down in the BHB,and has a respectable rating to win off, but i would advise a each play on this at odds of 8/1. Also on the card there is a seller, not the most enterprising race to get involved in, but if the money comes hard for Mark Brisbourne's "Liani" i would think of having a play, as i do know two partnerships that are going to place a bid on this horse and they are well connected. GL for today Wups
Well Liani did not run up to its ability, but What a Reason only went down by a head this afternoon at 17/2, so the each way played well today.

  17. Re: Ly of the day 05/06/07 Excelllent reasoning, i think Loulwa will struggle to shake off the likes of David Elsworth Queen Vase horse in Sunley Peace, dropping back in trip from 2m,relished the ground.and the trainer has more winners when bringing his horses back from a lengthly run..and Elsworth has a 29% hit rate over a mile and a half on soft ground.

  19. Re: Thursday 5th July Naps. Electrolux Handicap (Class 5) - 21.00 - Nap Ray Beckett has a very good strike rate here over the last five seasons with a healthy +£89.38 profit and saddles a very nice looking colt here in Spiffing, the dam was a smart dual 6-7f winner at 2-3 in France, is also half-sister to useful triple winner sprinter Abundance who was useful at 6f plus, being by Indian Ridge a bit of cut will not hurt and the trip might be on the sharp side this evening, but should stay further in time and the seconditis should come to a holt tonight, was last seen when finishing second to TellTime at Brighton on soft ground and eventually went down by just a length that was over an extended 5f , the yard have hit good from at present and these types of events it might just be sensible to stick with the Beckett yard.

  20. Well a 100% strike rate yesterday with 2 winners at Evens & 11/4, so to the next days racing. NEWBURY 5TH JULY 2007 Ridgeway Volkswagen Handicap (Class 4) - 19.55 kevin Ryans three year old Apache Dawn trampled his rivals in the mud when beating Chjimes by a whopping 11L over 7f and led from start to finished and really powered away from his rivals in the conditions.has to contend with a 15lb rise in the handicap this evening and a 3lb rise in the weights, has run off higher marks of 77 this year, but under the soft going is most definelty a serious adversary, where will the dangers come from, Blue Monkey and Spume look to make some appeal,as Blue Monkey has won in heavy ground and had Spume back in third by two and three quarter lengths when in receipt of 14lb only gets 8lb this evening and the services of inform Luke Morris, Sir Micheal Stoute's Spume deserves to be a lot closer this evening with Martin Dwyer on board, but Apache Dawn i think just holds the aces in a tight contest. Gardinal Mechanical Services Maiden Stakes (Class 5) - 20.30 Leading Jockey Seb Sanders comes in for the ride on this Montjeu filly Loulwa for Jeremy Noseda, was last seen when in the Pretty Polly Stakes at Newmarket over a mile and a quarter on good to firm ground, and eventually went a drift to Dalvina by just under thirteen lengths, the down side of this filly was that she was getting restless in the paddock and looks like a difficult ride for Seb,an interesting one to take on the fav is the selection which comes from the David Elsworth yard in Sunley Peace who has had a benefit of a recent run two weeks ago when finishing fifth in the Queens Vase over 2m on good to soft ground, and takes a massive drop in trip tonight and gets the services of Micheal Hills who should beat the odds on favourite tonight and go on to better things. WARWICK 5TH JULY 2007 European Breeders Fund Median Auction Maiden Stakes (Class 4) - 18.00 Jamie Spencer gets the ride on Richard Hannon's Billion Dollar Kid, and the debut run was impressive enough to suggest a maiden was with in his grasp, was seen on his debut when finishing second to a smart juvenile in River Proud from the Paul Cole yard, going down by 5L on good to firm ground over 6f, is stepping up in trip this afternoon and the ground is a mystery, but being by Dora Explora the cut should not be a problem, the step up in trip looks to be beneficial as was staying on well on his debut, and should take the beating this afternoon if acting on the surface. Compair Compressors Handicap (Class 3) - 19.35 Ann Stokell is probably the most unenterprising jockey in the race and does not get many winners over a course of a season, but She rides here Pawan who is definelty worth a second look on this going, Pawan has not won since August last year when winning a class 4 Handicap at Beverley over 5f on good ground and to be honest has been running well this year and was unlucky not to get up at Brighton over an extended 5f and stayed on late when having traffic problems on soft ground, finished tailed off in a Class 2 event over at Folkestone over 6f, this is not the most enterprising horse to win with, but on heavy ground could bring this to life, the trainer Miss Ann Stokell has a very good strike rate here with a +£48.63 and a 18% strike rate. Good Luck Today Wups
