  1. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 14-16 October Derby @ 13/5 Bet365 You wouldn't think from the price that Derby were just three points behind the Saints, the bookies seem to think Derby are in a false position but I think there is a bit of value in the home side. Southampton have been perfect at home but not so good on the road, losing two and drawing one of their five away games. Derby have been decent at home winning three, with a draw and defeat. As ever in the Championship there's not much between the sides and I wouldn't have expected the home side to be more than 2/1. At the price I'll take a punt on the home side coming out on top.

  2. Re: Golf: PGA Tour 2011 - Frys.com Open Tommy Gainey e/w @ 55/1 bet365 Not a particularly imaginative pick but Tommy and his two gloves have had a breakthrough year in 2011. Four third place finishes have secured his card and should convince him that he can thrive at this level. His latest third place was last week and he looks like a player on the verge of a maiden victory. This isn't a very good field which increases his chance of getting that first win. All he really needs to add to his game is a bit of calmness on Sunday afternoon, hopefully his other near misses will stand him in good stead.

  3. Re: England > Weekend > Championship > 1-2 October Middlesbrough look over priced to me. They've won all four of their away games so far and Reading have already lost two at home, to Watford and Barnsley. Boro are joint top of the table and they have plenty of pace in the team which suits playing on the break away from home. I wouldn't have had them as big as 2/1 for this game.

  4. Re: Rugby World Cup 2011 I was also liking the look of England on the handicap but I've been put off by the weather forecast. So far as I can see it's for strong winds and rain, that could well mean it's the forwards rumbling up the middle and the superior skill and pace of the backs will be negated. Will wait and see what the weather is like at kick off, if it's dry then I'll go with England.
