As well as Menzies (50/1), I’ve plumped for Searle (28/1 B365), De Decker (125/1 PP), Gilding (150/1 PP), Huybrechts (175/1 PP) and Sedlacek (300/1 PP).
-
I had every intention of swerving Cameron Menzies today as I thought his price was going to be too short. But Star Sports have him priced up at 50/1 again, so going to have to give him another chance. I think I’ll wait for the draw to see who else I go for.
-
Let’s hope he pulls out of tomorrow’s event to give someone else a chance.
-
I’m not going to be around post-draw, so getting these on early and hoping for the best. Menzies (50/1 Star), van Veen (66/1 PP), Joyce (125/1 PP), Lukeman (150/1 PP) and Kist (300/1 PP). Good luck with whoever you all go with today.
-
Yeah, I’m with Menzies again at 50/1, and following you guys in with Dirk at 40/1 and Clemens at 200/1. I’m also siding with Chisnall at 22/1, confidence should be high following his win on the Euro Tour last weekend, difficult first round match with Snakey, but if he gets past that one he could go well again.
-
With you all the way with those selections @Fader. Dobey (25/1) and Bunting (25/1) did nothing wrong last week, so backing them both again this week. We’ve seen home advantage pay dividends on the Euro Tour so adding in Van den Bergh (50/1) and De Decker (125/1). And I’ll kick myself if Menzies wins and I’m not on him, so going with him as well (50/1).
-
Draw is out for this weekend - Menzies has Wade first up, then Chisnall and then potentially Van Gerwen. De Decker is in, he has Veenstra, and then Ross Smith and then potentially Ryan Searle, with Humphries also in his quarter.
-
Yeah probably best to wait until the draw - should be tomorrow afternoon I think. Another to keep an eye on for me is De Decker - he’s not qualified but is first reserve, so if someone drops out he should get in, and we’ve seen a lot of big names pull out of these events recently. Is playing well at the moment, and this one is in Belgium, so home advantage.
-
Another European Tour event this weekend, and Cameron Menzies has qualified for this one. Been installed at 50/1 with the bookies I’ve checked - if he can translate floor form to the stage then he would have a chance. Is 50/1 a fair price?
-
All four of my outrights have been knocked out - and each one went out with a higher average than their opponent ☹️.
-
I’m opting for Dobey (20/1 Skybet) and Bunting (20/1 Coral) as my main picks, with Pietreczko (125/1 PP) and Woodhouse (150/1 PP) as my outsiders.
-
More frustration today as Menzies just comes up short in the final - and I didn’t go each-way. Not long to wait until the next tournament, as the European Tour returns next weekend.
-
I’ve done it … I’ve gone for Menzies again. He averaged 104 across six matches yesterday so has to be one of the players to beat today, 30/1 with Star Sports. Nijman was pretty useless yesterday, but giving him another chance at 66/1, also with Star Sports. Also going with Clemens (100/1, Hills), Doets (125/1, PP), Veenstra (150/1, PP) and Meikle (300/1, PP). Good luck with your selections today folks.
-
So frustrating … like you said I started to believe after he beat Wade in a last leg decider. He’s chalked up at 28/1 tomorrow with Bet365, is that too short a price?
-
No Gerwyn Price …
-
Like all of those @Fader - good luck today. I’ve added Menzies (66/1), Woodhouse (125/1) and Wattimena (150/1) to my Nijman bet. Price, Bunting and Chisnall were the other three on my shortlist, but I don’t like backing anyone too short in these events.
-
Players Championship 18 tomorrow fellas, and I’ve gone in early on one player. A lot of the big names are missing, there’s no Humphries, Littler, Michael Smith, Anderson or Cross, which means that with Bet365 Price is the 5/1 favourite, van Gerwen is 6/1, then it’s out to 16/1 for Bunting. There’s bound to be some value in this field and the one I’ve taken so far is Nijman at 40/1. The Dutchman is playing well at the moment and has been highlighted on this thread a few times over the past couple of months, and I reckon in a depleted field he’s worth another shot tomorrow. If anyone spots a better price on Nijman anywhere, let me know 😉 I’ll probably add some more tomorrow morning.
-
I’m out all day today, so have to get mine on early … all these with Paddypower, Wade (66/1), Van Duijvenbode (66/1), De Sousa (150/1), Scutt (175/1) and Soutar (200/1). Good luck today all.
-
I think he’s won a few titles on the Development Tour, but this was his first on the main tour.
-
Get in there - might even have two tonight 👍
-
Yeah, 4 places in a field of 128 isn’t too much to ask is it 😁
-
Not posted on here for a while, but thought I’d post my picks for today’s action. Tried to find a few players who seemed to go well yesterday, and are at big odds today. So gone with these all with Paddy’s: Plaisier 66/1, van Barneveld 125/1, De Decker 150/1, Wattimena 175/1 and Beveridge 500/1
