Another couple of Players Championship events this week, and a few of the bookies have priced tomorrow’s action up already. The field looks strong at the moment, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of the big names pull out before Tuesday lunchtime, and a few of these go off a bit shorter than they are at the moment. Gone with four so far, might add a couple more tomorrow: Noppert 50/1 (PaddyPower) Edhouse 85/1 (Star) Wattimena 200/1 (Sky) Scutt 200/1 (PaddyPower)

Tonight I’ve gone a four-fold consisting of wins for van den Bergh, Heta, Smith, and Dobey to win and hit the most 180s - pays just over 17/1 with Coral.

Yeah, unlucky Fader, Humphries looked beaten after the first five legs last night. Anyone else think Michael Smith has reached a backable price against Gary Anderson tonight, 11/8 seems pretty big. I appreciate Gary has been in unbelievable form on the floor, but he does seem to struggle to translate floor form to the big stage nowadays. Neither has a great record in this tournament, Anderson has two semi-final appearances in 14 years, whilst Smith had a very poor record until reaching the semi-final last year. Smith has reached the semi-final of the Matchplay and final of the World Series finals this year - so has recent big stage form on his side. Of course if ‘floor Gary’ turns up this bet is in trouble, but I think at the prices, the value lies with Smith.

Well that didn’t go to plan - going to be beans on toast all week for me now.

I reckon Littler could be tough to beat this week, and the draw has been relatively kind to him, certainly in the early rounds. He faces Rob Cross in the first round, and although Cross is the fourth seed, he has only won two matches in his seven Grand Prix appearances. Next up it would be Dolan or Schindler, and I wouldn’t expect either of them to cause him too many problems. Could be Aspinall, Searle or Rock in the quarter-finals and potentially Humphries in the semi-finals, tough match-ups but his effectiveness on double 10 means that there shouldn’t be many legs where he is slow to get going. I just think he is the one they all have to beat this week, although the odds of 7/2 aren’t particularly appealing, so for my outright bets I’m concentrating on the ‘name the finalists’ market. And the players I’m going for in the bottom half have both already been mentioned, Chris Dobey and Dave Chisnall. Both come here in decent form and have fairly good records at the tournament. Chisnall is a two-time finalist and Dobey has only failed to make the quarters in one of his four visits. Littler - Chisnall final 40/1 Sky Littler - Dobey final 50/1 Sky First round acca on Schindler / Barney / Littler / Noppert / Dobey 2-0, about 16/1 Sky Good luck with whatever you go with this week.

Need to get my bets on early today, and after yesterday’s 40/1 winner, I’m feeling flush and having six: Noppert 40/1 Ratajski 75/1 De Decker 125/1 Wattimena 150/1 Taylor 150/1 Zonneveld 250/1 All with PaddyPower except Ratajski who is with StarSports. Good luck with your bets today.

Not had a great deal of time to look into it, but I’ve gone with the following today: Rock (22/1) Nijman (40/1) De Decker (100/1) Razma (250/1) All with Bet365 except Razma (WillHill)
-
B365 and WillHill have some prices up now … no Cameron Menzies in the line-up today ☹️
-
But I’m keen on losing some more money backing Cameron Menzies at about 16/1 😁
-
Can anyone find any odds for today’s Players Championship event?
-
Good luck all. I’ve put most of my eggs in the Chisnall basket as well this weekend, 22/1 seems a fair price with the way he is playing. I’ve also had a small bet on three 150/1 shots from each of the other quarters; Mike De Decker, Andrew Gilding and Callan Rydz.
-
Yeah, and in his interview yesterday Anderson didn’t seem that bothered about hanging around too long today. I’ve gone with the following today: Bunting 20/1 Noppert 40/1 De Decker 66/1 Rydz 125/1 Lukeman 175/1 (All with PaddyPower except Bunting (WH))
-
Yeah, with Littler, Humphries and van Gerwen there today I’m keeping stakes low, but going with: Heta 28/1 Sky van Duijvenbode 40/1 PP Nijman 50/1 PP De Decker 150/1 PP Hurrell 500/1 PP Good luck today.

Yeah, good luck with your bets fellas. I’m just taking Bunting at 16/1 with PaddyPower. Seems to be in the easiest quarter (famous last words), and was pretty consistent in the Players Championship events this past week.
