  1. Re: I can't reply Dogs as AJ has a god complex this will be locked for sure but think what you want but IMO if you make hero calls like he was suggesting at microstakes your winrate goes through the floor and down into china. I dont know what it was like when you played them but IMO mole's analysis was wrong, and id tell him that even if his name was Phillip D. Ivey. He started the slangin match, not me.

  2. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

    because you rubbished his thinking
25/50 /= .25/.50 People lose shit loads of money trying to play like 'a guy they saw on telly' at 50nl. Imo the mole was wrong, I said so, he had a go, i had a go back etc - i get moaned at (see a recurring theme). I know even though you will read it, you wont be able to see it my way because you and him are like BFFs or summin but as ever when someone quotes me i thought 'meh oh well ill try'
  3. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

I just wish you would slow down then. You have already stopped one of the highest stakes cash players in the UK discussing his strat in here because you rubbished his thinking and then accused him of having a 'god complex' and to be honest I miss his discussion but I am lucky I have the boring git on the phone every other day but improving players on here who may benefit from him don't. B'tch and G2L are another asset to the forum and I think you should listen rather than dictate.
My only problem with the mole was that he was telling me how my games played and it simply wasnt true, if what I said stopped him posting in strat then i regret it, but its a pretty feeble reason not to post. If only there were people to listen to: Most threads, like ive said lots of times, are full of one word answers and some times I feel like Im the only one who puts any effort in at all (have a look back at some of punto bancos threads). Again with regards to the mole thread - I started nothing, me and Nade posted what we thought then the mole (out of no where)
Dog and nade suggest betting less on the river and if raised fold, my god i think this is bonkers, the only hands he is probably losing to is 66 or A6 ( if you follow the story of the hand) , If i played as you suggest i would be folding the best hand often. If this is the way you play (abc) you must find it tough to win, i would love to be at the same table as you guys as i would be taking most the pots off you (with shit) a simple raise and you fold 2 pair ideal.
I dont care if he knows hes right, this is just disrespectful bragging bullshit imo. He got a bee in his bonnet because two people disagreed with him and he launched a verbal attack. I dont really know how I get blamed for that tbh. It might sound a bit like a 'he started it', but im not gonna back down, i dont care if hes nelson mandela, if he starts on me he will get it back.
  4. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

As the discussion was between WCISAFD' date=' Blatch and G2L ... [sorry Blatch I can't shorten your name to an acronym :tongue2'] ... and neither Blatch or G2L seemed to have a problem with the way it was going, surely they should just be left to discuss it?
Exactly, a discussion is better than most threads in strat get. People post 'call/fold' (delete as applicable) and then drift off into the night. When im discussing things i type quickly because im trying to write stuff as I think of things (ie. i dont vet it to make sure it wont offend people :unsure), people just take it the wrong way, meh.
  5. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

WCISAFD U do make one or two valid points in your post above, however I think it may come accross wrongly. I didnt take what you were saying offensively however I can see how some people might do. Wasp is a good guy with a lot of experience of playing this game and is obviosuly a very good player. It seems you have a "worlds against me attitude" and this isnt the case.
meh, it clearly is. I shout at people i get moaned at I defend people i get moaned at I try and bolster the cash strat by being one of the handful that actually post in it i get moaned at I moan back I get moaned at The only comfort I take in this is that if i stick around long enough all the people that have moaned at me will be dead.
  6. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

This is what I mean about you, you have absolutley no history, no proven record and little knowledge about poker yet you dismiss better proven players on here with your ego that is larger then your student debt. Why can't you reason with obviously better players, instead of obtusely shoving your views across. We have all played these levels and moved up and now play and make money at higher levels (oh and yes we win the odd donkament) what have you done?? I was posting as Blatch and George are new to this forum and fyi they are both accomplished players and I value their comment and I didn't want you to shy them away from posting in strat just like you have the mole and others with your petty childish rants.
I dismiss your trolling, post some analysis and we can chat about it. It was a good thread until you trolled it to death! If you think its neccessary then warn them by PM, or was it some dick swinging public handbag slapping slagging match that you wanted? I dont need a proven record to have an opinion... Ive played a lot of microstakes recently and know inside out how they play. I wouldnt comment on a 400nl hand with the same confidence that I comment on micros. I dont pretend Im a good player, where did you read that? I dismiss better players views when I think they are wrong, am I just meant to bow down and 'just accept' that they are 100% always right? Are you the forum police, you arent even a mod, so why are you interfering when you cant even muster an opinion on the hand?!?! Ive never been agressive in my posts, unlike some people, I just try and get my point across and when people say 'you have got it all wrong', i respond with some more stuff. I try and get people thinking more: Strat posts are pointless if people just say 'id call/fold/arrrr in' which is exactly what happens in 70%+ of posts in PL strat. If people dont think about why they are doing what they are doing then they havnt confirmed/learned/computed anything and ultimately the whole thread was a waste of time. These tiny answers dont benefit anyone, least of all the op. They give me a vote and I know dick all about politics, why cant I have an opinion on PL? :\ EDIT/ And 'childish rants' makes me lmao, we were having a discussion and I was actually learning stuff, yours is the only rant in here sir.
  7. Re: Calling all ins with small pairs The first one kinda depends on what the guy has been doing at the table i suppose; im a tourny donk and i would probably ship it cos id be busy dreaming about all those broadways he can have. Tournament structure is pretty important in the second example. If its a superturbo rebuy with 10 second blinds then its a yes, ifs the WSOPME then no, anywhere in between is up for debate :)

  8. Re: Should I be Betting This River I dont play full ring but im guessing it isnt standard to check BB to limpers with AK? I think you should probably have bet the flop but as played I cant see much of a problem b/f'ing the river to eek a bit of value from any old shit they might call with.

  9. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

U play poker long enough you see everything. Including losing the unluckiest of players to runner runner case 8's :(
Want me to post my 22 BI below expection swing at full tilt - put it this way I now play with 50 BI instead of 20. This forum seems to run on SNG strategy and I just want cash strat to get noticed a bit more, but its never gonna happen with idiots strolling into threads trolling and then leaving.
  10. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

So your playing against an unknown and because he has played a certain way you shorten or tighten his range?
I give him the range of a tag until he proves that wrong...this could be within 2 hands or 200 hundred. T74tt isnt like an alarm bells uber drawy flop IMo. It has a flush draw, one oe and a few gutshots. Passive players are passive, they dont raise until the turn or the river.
  11. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

Can u honestly say that even at micro stakes' date=' your random player is gonna flat call behind on a very wet board with a set????[/quote'] yes ive seen it with my own eyes, this why we call it loose passive. If i hadnt just purged my like 5 mil hand database i would show you at least a couple hundred examples.
  12. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

Surely we give an unknown a wider range as possible and not a shorter one?
Not with the line hes taken imo. This site frustrates me so much sometimes. Ive put shit loads of effort into punto bancos threads (check back if you want) because I want cash strat on PL and hardly anyone posts it. Me, Blatch and George2loose are having a good discussion about this hand which was ruined by an idiot troll.
  13. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

Blatch many on here have learnt to walk away rather than discuss strategy with WCISAFDogs. He has blinkered views and he is the forum antagonist, I'm not even sure if he plays poker :unsure
Slightly ironic that you troll into a thread and call someone else an antagonist. But thanks for your input, you should probably be getting back to donkament strat before your head explodes with maths or something.
  14. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

If you back to my original post, before the results were revealed I said we would be good 9/10 times. Bad players are one of the MANY reasons why we would be good here 9/10 times.
and im definately 100% sure that this isnt true. You are good here easily enough to make a call the play, but not 9/10 times.
  15. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

    His range for me includes all of the following: - A10 k10 Q10 J10 10 10 - but doubtful 99 88 89 Any 2 hearts Complete Air - but very doubtful
:\ I disagree I cant get this across without sounding like a dick but seriously you havnt played many hands at the micros (maybe this is a compliment :lol). - People rarely shove missed draws - People slowplay a lot (If there were 50 streets they would keep checking, hopin to induce a bet that they could check/minraise over) - People love to get to showdown and shit themselves when a 'scare card' comes (ie. they would rather check/call with JT, KT, AT on that river than bet). I think against an unknown a decent range for this guy is JJ TT 77 44 QT I mean we are ahead of this range on the river at least 50% of the time because of the added combos of QT vs the pairs but seriously I think this is a a pretty big range to give an unknown in this spot. Ive said all along that we are calling this everytime because of the price we are getting (if you can put on non-boat hand in his range here then you are easily good to call).
  16. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

If we talk about micro stakes in isolation: 1) Would a lot of players at the level realise what betting for value means? 2) Would a micro stakes player value bet top pair or two pair here not realising the second 4 was a bad card??? IMO this is a snap high five the monitor CALL!
So we call because; 1) Because we know he is shoving his busted draws 2) Because we know he cannot vbet correctly Which? :tongue2 My issue is that from the op we dont know hes shoving his busted draws, we dont know that he cant valuebet properly, but we do know that hes taken a donky-set/boat/monster line. If a player we respected as an ABC tag took this line then we think 'ah boo sucks he has a boat but im getting 4/1 bla so i kinda have to pay him off). Tbh i think that in this case, the odds we're getting and the strength of our hand is a better reason to call than because we imagine (with no proof) that he is shoving busted draws or cant value bet. Also (and this clearly isnt the case with this player) - Bad players imo are generally loose passive rather than loose aggressive the further down the stakes you go. You can save/gain a lot of money by not paying off someone who only raises the nuts...
  17. Re: Am I Getting Too Committed With This Over Pair?

I know the results have been posted but on such a wet board you have to pay him off on the river. So many busted draws he could now be shoving with.
Maybe I give these people too much credit BUT he has absolutely no fold equity against a made hand - if he has the sense to shove a missed draw he must realise this. I might be levelling myself a bit here though. Also imo people shove missed draws a lot less than you think at micros and are more likely to be vbetting thinking they have the best hand a la this hand.
