My prediction is 3-0 Price, 3-1 Smith, but I'm rooting for the double 3-0!
-
Wow, that's one tough tournament... what's next? Dolan beats the world champ?
-
Tonight, I think all 4 favorites will win... but the odds are not too attractive... maybe a Bunting+Price double? Price vs Ratajski should be a "lock", right? And Bunting has been in amazing form for weeks now, he should beat Schindler.
-
Woodhouse stuns Chizzy...
-
I watched all the games yesterday, and... well, it can be erratic... the double-in rule plus the short format in the first round (with a break after the first set... which can easily disrupt the rhythm only after 3-5 legs played) makes betting on a short-priced favorite impossible. I would like to oppose Wright again, but... Clemens at around 2 is not that enticing... I think I pass.
-
Nice outright picks. (Although Gary is now half the price he had before the last three PC events... 😀) Tonight seems tricky as I like quite a few underdogs at first glance... but still, those usually don't win even if they look "promising". Maybe Gilding to beat Cross at around 2,73? Gilding looks kind of stable while Cross is vulnerable, and has a bad record in this tournament.

Last Man Standing - Week 7 (deadline sat 3pm)

Good old Anderson wins the third one... it was incoming I think (sadly, I was not able to bet on PC 24...). One thing I noticed: there haven't been as many "big surprise" winners as the last two seasons... only Huybrechts and Rydz fall into that category.
-
Kist once again SUPERB... once again loses by a single leg, this time in the SF against Chizzy. A Humphries-Chisnall finals, how creative... these two really rule this season.
-
Exactly, Bunting was my first choice for tonight... 100 is too much for a player of his caliber ON GREAT FORM. Good luck! I am also going to try Pietreczko.
-
Fantastic pick, Daveg with Kist! He almost won it all! Frankly, he would have deserved it.
-
Woodhouse did nothing wrong in Budapest, I was thinking about picking him...
-
Wow. Just wow. 😮 First of all, Chisnall suddenly pulls out his best form today. I think Humphries would have won against anyone else but Chizzy. Chizzy steadily played at a very high level thoughout the Finals. But Humphries still had him... begins the very first leg with a 170 checkout (his second one today) 😮 goes up 2-0... the Chizzy crawls back, but Humphries still catches him and then makes a NINE-DARTER 😮😮😮to go up 7-5... then kind of falls apart, but still, one last spark of magic, 7-7, 141... triple 20, triple 19, double 12 for the win... NOPE, he misses the last dart. The classic example of an EXCELLENT bet losing in the 97th minute in football terms... PS: I have a very strong hunch that Humphries would have won IF he had missed that nine-darter...

Humphries vs Chisnall Finals. #2 vs #1. Fingers crossed. Won't be easy, though Luke has been really playing excellent this weekend.
-
6-0 Humphries Woodhouse at 250 was an amazing pick! I think he could have made the Finals if not for Humphries. He is playing like a man on a mission. Price might be the most dangerous opponent, so I'm rooting for Heta. De Decker is also playing very, very good... he might make the Finals.

Yes, Rock is really due to win one... and his odds are getting reasonable after so many failures. I was thinking about Bunting as a longshot, he seems to be in form.
-
Aspinall with amazing checkouts... a 170 as well... no chance for Noppert (meanwhile, Price and Smith are out...)

Last Man Standing - Week 5 (Deadline Sat 16th Sep 3pm)

wow, half of the field saved by a 98th and 100th minute goal 😁 -
OK, we have the final 16 today... at first sight I like Noppert vs Aspinall at 2,15. Noppert dispatched DVD yesterday with a 105+ average... he should have confidence, and frankly, he has been in better form than Aspinall before this event... and then the home crowd advantage so to speak. He should be the favorite, I think.

Raman to beat Aspinall at 5... seems too high to me, consisering the lack of recent matches on Asp's side, and Raman's half-decent form. Let's try it.
-
I'm going once again with Hempel to beat Heta at 3.
-
Hempel won. As for today, I like the underdog in quite a few pairings... hard to choose the right (winning) ones.
-
The usual 3-day tournament, without Price, M. Smith, van Gerwen etc. this time. I guess DVD or Ross Smith might win it. One match in the evening that caught my eyes: Hempel to beat Wade at 2,75. Hempel has been beyond awful this past two years, but in the last three PC's he at least got a couple of wins each of the three days... might be worth a try.
