  1. For my Fantasy Golf squad, I had a 10 man shortlist of:

Spieth, Niemann, K-H Lee, Bradley, Leishman, Harman, Stallings, Streelman, C.T. Pan, Kizzire.

From this my final squad of 6 is:

    Jordan Spieth 22/1

    Keegan Bradley 30/1

    Joaquin Niemann 28/1

    C.T. Pan 140/1

    Marc Leishman 50/1

    Patton Kizzire 225/1

Decided to include some prices from Bet365 as a reference.

  2. The leaderboard can change so quickly in the game of golf!

    Morikawa now tailed off.

Zalatoris, Scheffler and Burns the best chances of our guys on here.

Unlucky @harry_rag  , sod's law that out of your shortlist Schauffele and Niemann made the cut and the others didn't. Have to feel for you there mate.

I have three Final day 'Two Ball Ties' all with Bet365 and all at a price of 8.50 (15/2) each:

5:39, Patrick Rodgers vs Collin Morikawa

6:12, Sebastian Munoz vs Minwoo Lee

6:23, Aaron Wise vs Hayden Buckley

  3. After two day's play. Collin Morikawa going best on here for @fd1972uk so fingers crossed he can keep up the excellent form going forwards.

I don't want to put the mockers on him, though I do find Morikawa a very in and out player, especially in regards to his putting, the good thing is when he is 'in' he is a very formidable player. In fact, just thinking out aloud he is following a similar form line to Brooks Koepka a few years ago in that when the Majors and big events turn up, Mr Morikawa generally ups his game to the occasion.

Plenty of other quality players in contention, Scheffler, Rahm, McIlroy, Burns to name a few mentioned on here.

Surprised missed cuts for me have to be Cameron Smith and Viktor Hovland. Two top quality players who missed it by quite a few shots. I can forgive Cameron Young from my squad more so as he just missed the cut by a shot and is still only in his first season playing at the very top level.

Anyway, less of my ramblings lol. Let's see how the action all continues to play out.

  4. Done my best to keep my Fantasy Golf squad as simple as possible this week. Generally looking at players in the top 20 World rankings who have decent Strokes gained approach and/or Off The Tee stats. And therefore I've gone with:

    Jon Rahm

    Cameron Young

    Cameron Smith

    Will Zalatoris

    Rory McIlroy

    Sam Burns

    Best of luck to all.

Good effort mate. I love watching the Greyhound Derby, though admittedly wouldn't have a clue where to start when betting on the Power Packed Pooches.

I was able to watch it for free on YouTube from 2pm. Simply do a YouTube search for "LIV GOLF" and it's the first hit.

Picture quality is a bit soft, but decent. Also a couple of freezes lasting a couple of seconds every hour or so. I'm watching YouTube through my VirginMedia V6 box. I don't know if it gets the youTube video from my router (at the far end of the house) or the cable company's head end.

I tend to agree with Rory that these start-up competitors may not make it - think Kerry Packer cricket.

Thanks for the heads up Snoopdog.

Focusing purely on it as a punting prospect. I would advise anyone and everyone to proceed with caution tackling any LIV event. Any player playing in these events surely cannot be playing with full ease and mental focus with all the media furore and legal battles hanging over the series.

  7. Completely agree with @Johnrobertson here. In that, there's not been a Canadian Open since 2019 so not much course form to go on which is what I like to look for in my Fantasy Golf squad.

My shortlist was: Shane Lowry, Mackenzie Hughes, Jhonattan Vegas, Adam Hadwin, Matt Wallace, Aaron Cockerill, Paul Barjon.

And I decided to go with:

    Lowry - Hughes - Hadwin - Wallace - Cockerill - Barjon

Dropped Jhonattan Vegas from the final selection as he had a shocker final round at The Memorial.

Hadwin, Hughes, Cockerill went with on being inspired by a home event. Even Barjon (French Canadian perhaps?) I picked on this basis.

Lowry a class act and Wallace showed signs of a resurgence in form lately so took a punt with him.

    Best of luck to all.
