    To be honest, I put the bet on early as I didn't want to forget to place it 😂.  It would be good if Bet365 offered a BOG price like they do with some horse races.  

    Killian Mbappe is tomorrow's bet, I haven't placed it yet though.  He is 3.00 on Bet365 at the minute.

    you are right, I miscalculated!!  

    I also missed the fact Egypt were playing and Salah scored first and I would have bet on him.    I'm slipping up tonight! 🙁

    If you took the 8/5 each way it pays 1.53 anytime which is considerably better than 1/6 best price so you could argue that represents value but you'd get less than your stake back if he scored but not the first goal. I'm intrigued as to what his goal minutes price will be but I'd guess at least in the 90s based on those prices.

     

    I gotta be honest - EW bets confuse me as I'm never sure how to calculate them or if they're good value or not.  How do I calculate if EW is a better bet than anytime?  Just simply enter my stake and see what I get back?

    Trial for 50 bets

    Inspired by Harry's goalscorer betting system, I have decided to try betting on a which player I think will score first.  I will be using Bet365 for these bets as I can use the "void if player does not start option" on those bets that I place a lot of hours before the team lineups are confirmed.  

    When it comes to choosing the player I'll simply be looking at how they are ranked as a goalscorer in their respective leagues, so the strategy is simple enough.  These bets will be mostly Premier League, US MLS, Scottish Premiership, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.  A lot of the same names and teams will be cropping up.

    All bets will be £1 and I will keep a record to see if I can make a profit. 

    I'm going to trial this for 50 bets. 

    First bet Juan "Cucho" Hernandez @ 4.33.
