Hello Harry, you'll be glad to hear that I've activated the spread betting side with my account with Speadex. Don't know what I'll do yet.

Hovland has had a bang average 2024 so far, but my model reckons he's the only one in the top 10 that's value. His stats (a blend of 2023 & 2024) are off the charts in key areas like SG approach, Irons from 175 yards upwards, SG off the tee, Total Driving etc. So worth the gamble that the strong course fit will get the best from him.
My model ended up ranking positions 2 to 5 fully in-line with the betting odds (2. Schauffele, 3. Clark, 4. Cantlay, 5. Homa).

Jaeger looks the best bet outside the top 10.

Rank outsider: I was on Kevin Tway top 40 last week at the Byron Nelson (...he was 81st in the odds but the model rated him as 6th best & he finished 9th). I'm on him again this week @ 225/1 e/w (10 places).

 

I've had a nibble for interest. 15/1 with Lads (using a boost from 14/1) and 1/6 the odds to 10 places.

I'm not a regular poster here but I do post from time to time and this is a friendly part of the forum. I tend to focus on the head of the market and I've been doing that for a few years now with success - the rationale being that most are looking for a big price winner which means it's sometimes worth backing shorter albeit for a smaller return. I'll be doing the same in this tournament with a bet on Pendrith who's currently in the lead. I'm backing him at 3.16 on the exchanges - which is the price once commission is taken into account.

Thanks Harry but I wouldn't know where to start. Only really interested in horses and golf for betting purposes. I don't even know if there are spread markets on golf.

Went for a couple here, Paul who's been half decent lately, hoping on a weaker field he may do it. Have also went with a home player Li.

Funny you've opted for him, I haven't overall,  but have for 1st round leader,  along with Hoge, who I have went for the win too.
