isnt it onlly about odds?
Yes, but it also has tons of history of match results (and the associated odds to each game).

That was a neat weekend result. I went a bit greedy going for Euro matches... ?

Thanks @Sir Puntalot ?
(delayed reply, but want to acknowledge the hard work the team puts in)

Glad you’re finding them useful and more importantly, profitable.
Also wanted to express my thanks @Sir Puntalot - they have taught me to be measured in my approach...rather than go wild on all these tips sites.
Thank you!

Really seemed like a weekend of underdogs! The Malmo and OFI wins did the trick ?
I personally got carried away with going for too many and backed a few > 2.5 odds games...with little to show. Patience is key here.
Again, thanks for SoccerVista - would you consider also incorporating Forebet too? Since both sites share probabilities too...

On its own probably not. As it is, I don't just bet on favourites. Overall, I choose to bet at all odds ranges in an attempt to smooth out variance. If the favourites aren't doing so well then the underdogs will often cover for them, and vice-versa. A perfect example on this thread is Serena Williams. I backed her to win Wimbledon and the US Open in 2018 and the same again this year, whilst at the same time betting on other players to win those tournaments. In the event, she failed to win any of those tournaments, despite reaching the final of every one and being the favourite to win. If she'd won those finals like she was supposed to then this thread would be well up and it would certainly look as though it was worth it - but she didn't and so it looks as though I've been wasting my time. Those are the fine margins in betting sometimes and like I said I cover myself by betting on other players besides the favourites, although I obviously don't post them here. Thanks for looking in by the way - I think you're the first person to post on this thread other than me
Ahhh...thanks for the clarification! Makes sense hedging your bets like that. In the proverbial sense in football it would be taking the double bet of home/draw for instance.

Thanks for sharing @waggy - how do you go about your bet selections (and the various deviations thereof)? For instance the England / Tonga game which *just* missed out there.
The bank roll looks great by the way ?

Martic won. New bank 848.21pts
So just to be on the same page - your original bank pts were 1,000 and you are currently sitting on 848.21? Is this still worth it after all this time?

What about using an API then? https://www.api-football.com
Suppose for your requirements you may need to fork out a little bit for such live scoring...

My first guess would be the decimal format you have Excel setup - you are using commas instead of periods.
It should look like this:

I've been using OddsPortal due to it being able to go through the more obscure leagues.

I'm calling it a day.
Couple of bad days took the edge off the good run, but mainly because of time issues. Now it's the US matches they are starting at 4pm for me. I am home at 5pm from work (where I can do what I want as I'm the boss) and have two young children to feed and get ready for bed. I can't keep spending the time at the computer when they need me.
If it was a week or two maybe, but it's this then China, Australia in the new year and I am not getting things in my business done that need to be done. Again, if it was doing £600 a day all the time then I would drop parts of the business but as with all betting the losing run comes and it takes the edge of the winnings.
Good luck to you all with your betting, I will check in now and again and see how things are going. I've taken the profit and will use it wisely.
Thank you for sharing this with us. Family comes first! ?

Basically I use the Parser and have an improving "2 AVG" against the "4 AVG" with at least a +20 in the "4 AVG", then check another site for it's rating and away we go.
Thanks! This is helpful...maybe I'm off jargon, but is the "Parser" the ELO scores? What is an "improving" 2 AVG (are you comparing game on game?). Lastly, what other sites are you using for the ratings? (I'm cognisant of the rules of the forum so if it's a commercial site you needn't share). Would this be something like the Club ELO site? Or the SoccerSTATS?
If I need to mind my business, please say ? Just on the various tweaks out there...

Thanks! Been lurking for sometime so may as well formalise things ?

@NickP Thanks for the continual updates. If I may - what criteria are you using? I've been working purely on Home games (so taking into account Home Field Advantage) with an ELO difference of 25 (may be a bit conservative...)

@froment Big thanks on the Excel tool!

Good luck for this weekend! Seems like an ideal opportunity to test your extended bet types ? The draws I'm especially interested in since the odds are always great there (fair is another topic...)
I've decided to go back to conservative Home base estimations with a bit of leeway so will see how that goes (and avoid some emotional betting).
Side-note: Why do you call it "Away Lay"?
