Yes though the clue's in the title for this thread; "Ascot Lucky 15 Challenge". If you only give 3 selections or add one from another course then you've fallen at the first hurdle or, to use a more appropriate metaphor, got stuck in the stalls! 

That competition would allow you to include the 6, it's all in the rules !

Yep, it's difficult not to let emotion get in the way sometimes

I would have treated the rogue selection as a non-runner had doing so led to a lesser return than allowing it to stand. The offender should count themselves lucky that there will be no further sanctions given the "fun" nature of the competition.
Imagine if we'd rocked up to the Royal Ascot competition sticking in a nag at Musselburgh because we could only find 6 at Ascot!
