    Calvinist 5.15 Wolverhampton (E.Way 14/1 Bet365)
In November 2018 Calvanist was rated 57 and he finished second (2/1 favourite) over course and distance. Off exactly the same rating I am expecting him to go close.

    Risk Taker 2.30 Lingfield (E.Way 7/1 Bet365)
Anyone from my generation will remember how good Cadeaux Genereux was over 6f. I am therefore drawn to Risk Taker whose Dam is related to the great Cadeaux Genereux. Nicely drawn, with top track jockey Adam Kirby and an introductory run to his name all give me confidence he can run a big race.

    Lithic 2.35 Exeter E.Way 14/1 Bet365
Lithic is an experienced chaser having completed the chase courses at Sandown, Warwick and Cheltenham. With most of the opposition having limited experience of fences, I am hopefully. Lithic can make his experience pay.
What a shame todays tip came fourth at 100/1.

    Holly James 1.25 Ffos Las (E.Way 14/1 Bet365)
Evan Wiiliams is the top trainer at Ffos Las so all his horses must be respected.
In May 2019 Holly James won a national hunt flat race at Kelso. He was subsequently sold to Evan Williams for £70k a figure which suggests the trainer was impressed. His hurdles debut was at Uttoxeter (a peculiar course) on soft ground. When it is soft at Uttoxeter it means it is extremely heavy. I am not sure he liked it there.
He was way behind the likely odds on favourite (tomorrow) Prudhomme. Hence the great value in this price.

    Sea Sovereign 7.25 Wolverhampton (E.Way 20/1 PaddyPower)
A half a million pound yearling, Sea Sovereign sired by Sea the Stars has been a major disappointment, but so have most of these. He has only once ran in a class six race so I am expecting better things from him.

    You are right Graham!
    97th minute!!
I was still losing by one after the games had finished but those nice guys at the premier league gave my Leicester players
four juicy bonus points, which meant I won by three.
There is a God after all.

Well done Graham 5th in the league with a healthy £17 profit and winner of the knockout cup not a bad months selections. On behalf of all of us, a big THANK YOU for all your efforts. It's hard enough picking one horse each day, let alone checking that over 70 selections comply with the rules each day, checking all the results and keeping accurate league tables EVERYDAY. Oh yes then there's the Football and last man standing competitions. Truly heroic.
To the winners well done, for the rest of us let's keep trying to get on that roll of honour.

    Waleydd 2.15 Newbury (E.Way 8/1 Bet365)
At this time of year it pays to follow trainers and jockeys in form. In the past 21 days Roger Varian has a 21% win record and jockey Jack Mitchell 24%. So newcomer Waleydd is in good hands. Drawn high which is another advantage.

    Panchita 5.45 Wolverhampton (E.Way 14/1 Bet365)
Young apprentice Angus Villiers will be trying to do what no other jockey has done including Ryan Moore, Pat Dobbs and Sean Levy. That is, to win on this 24 race maiden. Once rated 67 she is now down to 51. Recent efforts; beaten six lengths, two lengths and three lengths suggest she may be closer than most people expect.

    Santafiora 6.55 Wolverhampton (Win 6/1 Bet365)
Santafiora started 2019 with two class six wins over this course and distance. The second of those victories was off a rating of 55 which would make her the top rated horse in this classified race. She has since gone 10 races without a win but she went close (beaten just 2.5 lengths) at this track in August. Jockey Kevin Stott knows his way around Wolverhampton with a 13% win ratio. Being drawn in stall 3 is also a big positive.
