This system isn't going to WIN you any money, but it will eliminate a whole lot of bad bets and reduce your BAGS losses. In other words, expect the simple filter below to reduce the bookies SP margin towards 100% from the 130-odd % usually seen. Best working in the warmer season, when the going tends to be more consistent, simply check the following: 1) That your potential selection has a Racing Post TopSpeed figure in the top three in the race (throw out ties for third) i.e. 100 97 98 97 95 94 the two in bold would qualify... AND 2) That your potential selection has one of the three best BRT (Best Recent Time, generally last three months)) figures in the race. This figure is clearly marked on the Racing Post shop display or internet cards. If three qualify, forget the race. Rarely, zero will qualify. Usually one or two will qualify; if this is so then you have a potential bet IF other good reasons for betting (age, trap, win percentage, season, early pace etc. etc.) apply. The point though is that it is highly unlikely that any dog failing to meet these criteria is value. Hence, this is not a 'betting system', it is rather a 'not-betting system'! Leaving out non-qualifiers makes profit on the BAGS at SP a realistic goal on an inside-information-free basis. Otherwise, forget about making a profit! Good luck, Adrian
