I did one of these a couple of months back and it made a small profit but I decided to work on a few things and hopefully improve the profit this time around. The strike rate will be lower because I am focussing on horses which are likely to be 10/1 or less. As with last time, I'm just going to lay these to Betfair sp and copy and paste the selections and the profit/loss results directly from my Betfair account. Since I'll be using Betfair SP, there will obviously be prices above 11.0 (mainly drifters or where the forecast sp is way off) but if I think there is a fair chance that the price with be 11.0 or less when striking the bet, then I'll be laying it. Rules and Staking Plan 1. All selections are horse racing lays on the win market. 2. The starting bank is £300 3. The liability is 5% of the days starting bank (ie the first lays have a £15 liability on each). A ratchet staking plan is used and stakes are recalculated on a daily basis. This means that the 5% liability is recalculated each day on the new bank but after a losing day, the liability remains the same (ie it does not go down). 4. Since these are real bets, there will occasionally be times whereby there are non runners in a race where I have a lay. The profit or loss will be less on such occasions (due to Betfair recalculating liabilities) and these are the figures I will be using (ie my actual p/l).
