Re: Southwell (eve) - Tuesday 3rd August 6.25 Southwell Three Boars goes extremely well round here 6 wins from 18 runs around here and 3 from 6 over CD. Was a good second last time out off a slow pace and if there was a stronger pace on today it should suit much better, only 1lb higher for that effort and still well handicapped on old form! 0.5pt win three boars 6.55 Southwell Bel Cantor is drawn wide here which doesnt help, but has been running in much better races than this lately and on turf, he is much better around here, 6lb below last winning mark and Harrison gets on well with this horse. 0.25pt e/w bel cantor 14/1 bet365 7.30 Southwell Captain Carey has shaped as if he is a real useful prospect and he ran a bold race in ireland when last seen when hampered in closing stages in a hot handicap, runs off same mark today and returns to the AW where he has done well and has previously won over CD, drawn stall 8 which didnt seem to be a big issue during the winter round infact the middle tended to be favoured! 1pt e/w captain carey 11/2 hills

Elusive Fame runs well here and on his last outing won off 76. He lines up here off 62 with Charles Perkins taking another seven pounds off. He has been running poorly lately either getting behind or going too fast, but if he gets it right here on his favourite surface he is very well handicapped. Two others that run well here but have run poorly away from Southwell are Bel Cantor and Punching. Bel Cantor won off 81 earlier this year and Punching is another that has was off considerably higher than his current mark.

Dropped a right clanger here....62 is Elusive Fame's turf mark!!! :$ Maybe one of the others will do the biz I see Chris likes the chances of Bel Cantor too.

Re: Southwell (eve) - Tuesday 3rd August 18:25 Southwell Course form can prove to be vital here as we know and Three Boars holds an excellent record at this course winning 6 times from 18 runs and placing a further 5 times. His record over course and distance is 3 wins and a place from 6 runs. His three efforts over CD in 2010 has resulted in a win and a place off a 1lb lower mark than today and a 4th place off a mark 2lbs higher. David Probert was on board for his last win here and that was his first time on board, he has been having a magnificent season and is back on board tonight. He very rarely rides for thr trainer so it is a significant jockey booking once again having only previously been on board four times for Goslings. 1pt win Three Boars @ 5/1 (Bet365 - BOG)

Re: Southwell (eve) - Tuesday 3rd August 20:40 - Wavetree Bounty 7/2 365 Posted a nice 2nd lto and will look to build on that in a weaker field, unknown on the surface but looks the likely winner of this poor race. The winner completed a double lto and this one just looked to of bumped into a fairly well handicapped horse, if he can continue the form of lto he ought to win.
