chris34
Pontefract 25th July 3.15 Pontefract A slight concern Northside Prince has been off for 66 days when running his best race this seaosn last time out on fibresand at southwell behind the progressive Speed Dating, 1lb lower today back on turf and showed a consistent level of form last season and aslong as all is well there is no reason to think he wont continue in the same form, Swinbank's horses continue in good form and has the extra power of Fallon as an interesting booking today! 0.5pt win northside prince
RussP
Re: Pontefract - Sunday 25th July 5.30 Pontefract Last race on the card which sees 13 take their chance in this Class 5 sprint handicap over the minimum trip. The track has a very stiff finish so we need a horse with either proven course form or one capable of staying 6f. Mr Wolf is a proven course specialist but looks to be a bit long in the tooth whilst Comptonspirit is a danger but may just be suited by a faster track. This leaves me with: Verinco (11/1 Coral BOG) - Decent 6f performer but has looked a much better horse since switched to 5f and gets on very well indeed with this 7lb claimer. In the money 4 of 6 under this jockey and just outside the places on the other 2 occasions make 11's looks a big EW price. Is owner trained and, with the horse having 2 entries this week after a near 8 week break, it could be the trainer fancies its chances. Last 4 runs have all yielded speed figures equivalent or greater than todays handicap mark, something no other horse has in this field. Is a model of consistency, drawn well, from a yard amongst the winners, excellent relationship with the jockey and, with question marks over the leading fancies, could prove to be a cracking bet at double figures. Spooner
Re: Pontefract - Sunday 25th July Kieron Fallon just isn't getting the top rides at the moment in the big races but he would of been happy with his days work at York yesterday winning a Group 2 and the Dash. He wasn't firing for a while but is starting to find the winners enclosure more in the last few days. Fallon has not been out on a Sunday for around a month and I feel he could have a good day here with six rides including 3 for Cumani. Best Prices: 14:05 - Piceno 4/1 365 15:15 - Northside Prince 4/1 365 15:50 - Mabait 6/1 365 16:25 - Glen Shiel 11/2 Stan James 17:00 - Isobar 16/1 365 17:30 - Not My Choice 11/1 Hills
Falbrav
Re: Pontefract - Sunday 25th July DANCEINTOTHELIGHT 2.40 Pontefract. 1 point win. I like the way he finished last time, and when thinking it was second to a Sir Mark handicap snippet, it was a good effort. Gets in off the same mark for today and no trip and ground concerns. Should go well.
