2:45 Newbury: What's Up Pussycat 2pts win 1pt place 16/1 William Hill Whats Up Pussycat ran in some decent races when trained in Ireland by David Wachman, the Irish One Thousand Guineas Trial and several Listed races and was not disgraced. She lines up here off a mark of 92 and is a big price after a moderate first outing for her new trainer. However, there is cause for hope as What's Up Pussycat could well improve for this extra furlong and David Simcock is in fine form.

He got off the mark at Haydock beating one of Richard Hannon's with the pair well clear. That looks a decent time, and he is top rated by Topspeed. He probably did not appreciate the firmer ground at Salisbury on his only other start as he was hanging. Yet that form looks pretty solid, the odds on winner Crown Prosecutor is entered in the Group 2 Gimcrack.
