irsone
I am forever getting hurt when I play Ace King off suit in early position. 6 times yesterday did I get stuffed. If I raise I get called and beat. If I call the big blind I get beat. Very rarely will i win, what is then best strategy so that I do not get beat and win a few? trips
Re: Playing Big Slick In Early Position imo, it depends on the size of the bb, if its early and blinds are low i will raise 3xbb,if i get a few callers i am prepaired to check fold the flop, if bbs are starting to get bigger ,say 1/10 th of stack its a push, and its a great hand to squese with, biggest mistake players make is not folding when they can on the flop when the miss, after all its only ace high and it may not be enough if you do hit on the turn or river. dont worry about getting beat with ace king after raising, its not a great play to just limp,we all go through periods of missing every flop with ak and raising every pot with queens or kngs and an ace hits the flop.
