NRL Round 18

Recommended Posts

Tonight sees Tigers at home against the Titans and the Sydney Derby between the Roosters and Rabbits. The Tigers aren't affected by Origin and even with Prince back should have the Titan's covered at home but I'll be leaving this one alone and backing first try scorers. Betting on the Tigers just doesn't instill one with confidence as they are so up and down. If I had to take something it would be Titans 1 - 12 @ $3.60 @ Sportsbet. Small Stakes Kevin Gordon first try for away team $6 @ Sportsbet Lote Tuquiri first try for home team $5 @ Sportsbet Chris Lawrence first try for home team $6.50 @ Sportsbet Kevin Gordon has scored first try for the Titan's in the last 2 out of 3 games so $6 is good value imo. Tigers last two games Chris Lawrence has been first try scorer so even better value there. Tuquiri has also been scoring well for the Tigers so a smaller insurance bet to cover Lawrence stake. Roosters v Rabbits I'm not going to touch tonight hopefully it will be an epic battle. With Luke out and some Roosters players nursing injuries it's too hard to pick. Will definitely be looking at some bets over the weekend, there are some easy winners to be had!

Re: NRL Round 18 Titans -3.5 @ 2.90 centrebet Big loss for the Tigers is their import Ellis who has been in very good form while the Tigers have been grinding away. Believe they were fortunate to win these games and like the Titans to win this on the basis of Prince being back, and he will give some direction to his team, while the Tigers look rudderless without an effective no. 7. Both teams have some speedy forwards who like to play the ball quickly, but really like the Titans backs, with plenty of zip in them, to make some busts with the aide of Prince's passes and short kicks. Not much separates the two teams but feel that the Titans have an enough to edge this, another play to look out for is Bird who had a pretty good Origin game on Wednesday night Roosters win by 1-12 margin @ 3.15 centrebet Big rivalry between these two sides who are similar in composition, with big, ball playing forwards complemented by some quick backs who have some good hands too with the passes they make. However the loss of Luke around the ruck is massive for the Rabbitohs as he was making some good yards in this area, especially when the big forwards start to slow down late in the game. Also like the fact that the halves Carney and Pearce have much more in their game and believe that they have the edge over Sandow and Sutton, which could be enough to edge this over their neighbours.
