Mrs Duffield won this race last year and the pick looks to be coming back to some form, already a course and distance winner but it wont take much to win this poor race. Re: Musselburgh (Mon Eve) Phillip Makin has a decent strike rate at this course winning 31 races from 195 runs, his in decent nick at the moment winning 2 of his last 8 races with 3 2nd's also included. In the 19:25 first he rides RACOON (13/2 Stan James) for Ruth Carr who is 7-39 here and holds a £5.50 profit to a £1 stake. The horse is owned by P D Savil who's record is with his horses here is 6-21 producing a profit of £12.50 to a £1 stake. Racoon has not been in the best of forms but he drops down to a class 6 race again and returns to a C&D where he five career wins. In the 19:55 he saddles MISS MEDIATOR (6/5 365) for Michael Dods. The trainer doesn't have the best strike rates winning 10 races from 82 runners. However he has a decent record with 2 year-olds producing a profit of £28.33 from 206 runners. Miss Mediator posted a 3rd on debut at York, the 4th horse and 6th horse have gone close since with the winner of the race finsihing 3rd in Listed company. She should come on for her first run and maybe be sharper than the rest. Finally, in the 20:55 he rides COLD QUEST (14/1 Skybet) for Linda Perratt. The horse is one of the outsiders in the race but he was 3rd here lto over seven furlongs, he way staying on and could relish the step up back to eight.
