9.15 Pontefract Extremely competitive handicap over the sprint trip and a fast gallop is ensured with several front runners in field including the infamous old boy Mr Wolf who is likely to put up a bold show as always, but this strong pace should play into king of swords hands who has shaped extremely well this season and far better than form figures suggest, but is dropping down the handicap and now returns to last winning mark and won round here twice last year! 0.25pt e/w king of swords

Re: Pontefract 7th June (eve) Bated Breath 7.45 Pontefract This looks like a potential group horse and the only concern is the draw in stall 10. Currently rated 90 but could be a few pound better than that. Very smooth and very impressive here on its last visit and that course form could be very important. Only likely to get around Evens, currently that price on Bet365 a day before the race but I expect it to be supported and possibly go off odds on. If it breaks out well and gets a prominent position by the time they turn for home at the 2f pole it will be very hard to beat, could still be good enough if it gets a late run.
