At this track he has a 43 % strike rate from seven runners, and today he sends out two in the shape of Blue Noodles Boy and ISHETOO. The former has done all of his winning over shorter so I have prefence for the latter, that has won over this trip and has been eased to a tasty looking mark. He has been out of form this season but was bizarrely entered into the Lincoln on his reappearance, a distance there was no inclination he would get, before being held up at Beverley in which those racing handily held an advantage. He failed to strike at York last time out either but he is 5 lbs lower than when winning at York last season and with Ian Brennan's claim he is weighted to have a chance, if the first time blinkers do the trick. 14/1 Stan James, EW

Re: Newcastle - 27th May 7.00 Newcastle Really keen on this favourite, a lightly raced progressive 4yr old who has gone the right way since his comeback this season, off the mark 3rd attempt making all and beating a 78 rated horse, his opening mark of 80 looks fair and could still be open to plenty more and could well try and make all again from a good draw. 1pt win tag seed 5/2 vcbet 8.40 Newcastle Sunrise Safari is an interesting runner in this handicap for the hot Fahey yard, she has a very good record over this course reading 123, didnt get a race run to suit when trying to follow up a win on penultimate start off a 3lb lower mark, dropped a 1lb today and should get a truer run race in this bigger field, still potentially well treated on younger day form. 0.25pt e/w sunrise safari 9/1 hills
